Tasya is still as busy, as hassled, and as often grumbling about Nathan's crazy behavior. It's hard not to call it somewhat crazy when there are meetings here and there, and Tasya is like a tail that can't be far from her boss. She thought there would be a little break in between the piles of reports. Turns out, there isn't.

It's the same old thing. Instead, the boss is even more enthusiastic about chasing other projects. He says, "We should take advantage of moments when we can focus on attracting many clients, Tasya."

"Attracting? Are we setting traps or something?" Tasya scoffs while pushing open their office door.

"Well, I'm the bait." Nathan chimes in with a laugh. "They all believe in my way of working, Tasya. It's not wrong if I say I'm the bait, right?"

"Whatever." Tasya places the memo she's been carrying on the desk. "The meeting report will be on your desk in ten minutes, sir. Would you like some coffee or tea? You haven't had your coffee yet this morning."

"Sure." Nathan directs his steps towards his work desk. Within the office environment, the two of them maintain their professional boundaries, even though Nathan isn't too keen on the idea, which Tasya still insists on. But to keep a smile on the girl's face, he reluctantly goes along with it. Rather than having Tasya sulking and not listening to all her complaints and chatter all day, Nathan figures it's better to give in.

Tasya hurries to the room where there's a cup and Nathan's special coffee machine. She measures it according to the man's preference, including serving some snacks that are always kept in the storage drawer.

It can be said that Tasya's day is back to being busy and similar to her previous activities. Nothing has changed. The only difference lately is that Nathan has been giving her rides. Like a kind-hearted and eager-to-please boyfriend, even thought his behavior in the car is annoying. There's always something that makes Tasya frustrated, annoyed, but ultimately brings a rosy blush to her cheeks. When she thinks about how rapidly their relationship is progressing, Tasya unconsciously curls up a smile.

"Why are you acting like that?" Nathan asks, puzzled. He had just placed his phone where his mother sent messages; she wouldn't be coming home for the next few days. Messages about this and that, especially about Naina. Nathan also has no desire to go back to his apartment. Poor Naina alone at home. Regretting the distance between them, Nathan has to make a lot of amends. At least, to ensure Naina doesn't feel lonely anymore. "What do you mean?" Tasya furrows her brow.

"You're smiling like that. Is something pleasant happening? I can't know?"

Oh my God.

"Nothing, sir," Tasya replies, placing the coffee cup and the plate of pineapple pie as a side dish on the table. "Is there anything else you need?"

"Um... Mama won't be coming home for the next few days."

Tasya is still standing, with a furrowed brow. "So?"

"Aren't you interested in visiting my house? Sleeping with Naina?"

"No, thank you for the offer."

"I won't do anything weird, Tasya. Just one thing."

"Erase it from your mind, Nathan," Tasya sighs.

"Oh my God. It would be fun, you know, having dinner and breakfast together."

Tasya sighs softly. "It does sound nice, Nathan. But what about Ronan and Robin? I can't leave them to fend for themselves, right?"

Nathan's shoulders slump for a moment, but only momentarily. A bright spark lights up his eyes as an idea for a win-win solution pops into his head.

"They can stay over, Tasya. Mr. Jack can pick them up."

"What about Robin's school? Ronan's job?"

Nathan's smile was initially broad, but because of Tasya's recent words, the smile disappeared. It was replaced by a pout, and he laid his head on the table. On purpose. It didn't matter if he was considered childish. With Tasya, he didn't want to be mature. He just wanted to be pampered by Tasya.

"Mama Raptor really doesn't care about me."

"Don't mess around," Tasya scoffs. "I'm going back to my desk. There are still reports to take care of."

"Oh, right," Nathan immediately straightens up. "Ask Mr. Leo for a progress update on Sidoarjo, would you? I asked for it yesterday but haven't received it yet. Maybe they're still working on it because I requested it at the last minute." A habit!

"If I'm not mistaken, there are two people from the marketing team who went to survey the progress in Sidoarjo and then to the office in Surabaya. Get their reports too, Tasya." "Sure thing, boss."

The girl completely leaves Nathan hanging like that. She's petite, with a slender body, and you could even say she's thin. Her appearance is quite ordinary, but what's most annoying is the thick-framed glasses she always wears. Despite all that, what Nathan said this morning wasn't a lie. It was all the thoughts that had been residing in his mind. However...

"You have a sweet tongue, Raptor. Don't you realize those words have been used before?" Tasya immediately pushes away Nathan's hand that was resting on her chin. "Come on, let's go. It wouldn't be funny if my reason for being late today was because I was teased by my boss, would it?"

"Huh? When did I use those words, Tasya?" Nathan is astonished. "As much as I flirt with women out there, I've never said something like that, let alone submit to their charm. It's only you."

"I don't believe it," Tasya wipes away the tears that still linger at the corners of her eyes. "But thanks to your words and actions earlier, I was entertained." Then, a genuine smile forms on Tasya's face. Even though she felt a bit melancholic earlier, everything changed because of Nathan. Shouldn't she appreciate that?

"But I'm not kidding, Tasya, I mean it," Nathan says, not believing that Tasya is treating this so lightly. Oh my God. Even though the words slipped out casually, Nathan is convinced they came from his heart.

"It's only natural that I don't easily believe you. Do you think I don't know what you used to do out there?"

"That's in the past," Nathan pouts. "Now, I'm with you."

Tasya laughs. "Yeah, yeah." She gently pats Nathan's forearm. "Come on, let's go now. We'll be late."

"The engine's stalled," Nathan leans back, folding his arms across his chest. He knows everything Tasya said is true. He doesn't want to deny it because of how often he sweet-talked with women out there. But that was in the past. Seriously. He doesn't want to do that anymore. He doesn't want to discuss the past anymore. But when it comes to women, they will always replace the right moment to tease you.

So... he'll just accept his fate of being teased about his past behavior by Tasya. Fortunately, love and affection prevail; otherwise, they might have been arguing since earlier. "It's not stalled."

"The driver's stalled."

Tasya laughs. "Even after having breakfast, it's still stalled? Impressive, Mama Raptor's driver this morning."

"Mama Raptor's making Daddy Raptor mad."

"Reminding the playboy of his behavior is necessary, Daddy. Being cautioned so he doesn't sweet-talk easily. That way, he can be trusted, and his authenticity isn't questioned."

"Am I building a car engine or something? Do I need to check its authenticity?"

"You said I was smiling meaninglessly earlier. Why are you doing that now, Nathan?" Tasya originally wanted to talk a lot about the project reports from Sidoarjo, but when she entered the room, Nathan was smiling ambiguously. It's natural for her to wonder.

Nathan chuckles. "Take a seat. Aren't you tired of standing like that?"

Tasya shakes her head, puzzled. "I've been sitting, working on reports and documents from you since earlier."

The man waves his hand slightly. "I remember our conversation in the car."

"Which one? We've been talking a lot since this morning."

Tasya unceremoniously pulls one of the available chairs, slightly moving Nathan's half-touched coffee cup aside. She places the completed reports she was working on. She emphasizes, with great care, that as soon as they enter the lobby area of the building, they are the boss and assistant. Despite the difficulty. Like now. What Nathan wants to say seems to veer into personal territory. Tasya is quite sure of that.

"About you not believing my words," Nathan flashes a faint smile.

"It's not that I don't believe you, but more that I need to stock up on awareness rather than patience. If patience is for dealing with Naina, then stocking up on self-awareness, knowing, and being certain that you're a sweet-talking playboy." "You keep stabbing my heart, Tasya."

"I'm speaking logically, Nathan."

"So, you don't believe I love you?"

Tasya moistens her lips slowly. "Damn it, I believe."

Nathan grumbles unhappily, but a moment later, he laughs. "It's okay to be called a playboy. What's important is that Tasya believes in my love. That's more than enough for me."

Their light conversation is interrupted by Nathan's loud ringing phone. Naina's name appears on the screen, and Nathan promptly answers.

"Yes, Naina?"

"Mr. Nathan, Miss Naina fell. Her head is bleeding. We're at the clinic near school."
