"Let me carry Naina. She's sleeping so soundly." Nathan shook his head in wonder. They had returned home, and it turned out their visit wasn't just for an hour or two.

"Naina must be tired too, Nathan." Naina chuckled softly. "I've been talking to Olivia a lot."

"Thinking about it, they're quite similar," Nathan said as he quickly opened his car door, eager to pick up Naina, who was comfortably leaning close to Tasya.

"I don't understand what you meant earlier, Nathan." Tasya shifted slightly to help transfer Naina into Nathan's arms.

"Olivia tends to talk without thinking. So does Naina." Nathan grinned.

"Be careful, Nathan. Don't let her hit the car door," Tasya cautioned as she made sure Naina, now in Nathan's arms, wasn't disturbed.

"This is me being careful, Mama Raptor. Please close the door and grab Naina's bag, will you? Sorry for the trouble." Nathan really wanted to steal a kiss on Tasya's forehead, but due to his limited movement, he could only gaze intently at the girl who was now smiling in front of him.

"I don't feel like it's any trouble, Nathan," Tasya quickly did what Nathan asked, following closely so she could get to Naina's room first. Merry, who welcomed them, hurriedly opened the door, informing them of a few things, including Ronan and Robin, who had already fallen asleep in the guest room.

One by one, Nathan climbed the stairs. When he reached the top, he took a long, heavy breath and exhaled. "How much does Naina weigh now? Gosh, I'm tired of carrying her."

"You're exaggerating, Nathan," Tasya scoffed. "That just means you need more exercise. Carrying Naina all the way home wasn't a problem for me."

"Carrying and holding while going up different flights of stairs are two different things, Mama Raptor. Can you at least make a comparison that makes some sense?"

Tasya burst into laughter while quickly opening Naina's bedroom door. She turned on the air conditioner and made sure that the little girl Nathan was now lying down was comfortable in her sleep. She took off Naina's shoes that were still on and slowly tidied up the child's slightly messy hair. "If I wake her up to change her clothes, she probably won't be able to fall back asleep. It'll take too long."

"No need, right? She's not dirty," Nathan asked.

"No, she's not."

"You can rest too, Tasya. You must be tired from looking after Naina all this time. Even though I was talking to Mr. Robert, I was watching you. Don't spoil Naina too much. You're the one who's tired from keeping up with her." Nathan pouted slightly as he leaned against the door frame. He looked straight at Tasya, who was still sitting on the edge of Naina's bed.

"She's not spoiled, Nathan." Tasya gave a slight smile. "Let's go out. Naina is sleeping soundly." She approached the man whom she believed had not shifted his gaze anywhere else. "Do you want me to make you some tea? You had coffee with Mr. Robert earlier, right?"

"Aren't you sleepy yet?" Nathan played with the ends of Tasya's hair, which only reached her shoulders. "If you're not sleepy, sure, I'd love some." Feeling no resistance, he pulled her into his arms. One thing Nathan liked about their closeness was that everything felt right. Tasya's body wasn't too slim when he held her. Plus, Tasya's height was just below his chin, making it easy for him to steal kisses around her head.

"Your hair smells nice," Nathan complimented.

Tasya could only sigh in frustration. She couldn't just break free like that. "I'm afraid Merry might be around, Nathan. It's embarrassing."

"Why should it be embarrassing?" Nathan protested. "Besides, they're the ones who get excited when we get cozy, Tasya. I know exactly how Merry secretly watches us. She'll end up reporting to Mama." "You're not joking, are you?" Tasya was surprised.

"Do I look like I'm lying?"

Nathan often spoke straightforwardly, without pretense, and didn't want to hide anything. Sensing that Tasya wasn't talking anymore, Nathan claimed the tea she had offered earlier. "So, make me some tea, okay?" "Sure thing, Nathan."

They descended the stairs one by one, and Nathan didn't let go of the embrace he had given Tasya. But Tasya didn't resist at all.

"But I've been curious since yesterday, Nathan," Tasya finally spoke up.

"Curious about what?"

"About my mother's condition."

Nathan laughed. "I thought you were curious because I said I wanted to get married before Marta."

They paused their embrace for a moment. Their steps had already brought them to the dining room, where Nathan sighed in frustration. Through Tasya's eyes, he was asked to sit nicely and not disturb her while she prepared the tea. Not wanting to argue too much, Nathan complied instead of risking Tasya getting angry or sulking.

"When you mentioned marrying me, I didn't think too much about it, Nathan."

"Do you think I'm lying or not serious?"

Tasya gave a faint smile. The teapot, filled with hot water that she was steeping, was precisely on the stove. She slowly turned the knob to ignite it and then left it to brew the tea to Nathan's liking. "It's not like that. I just feel that marrying you is the highest fantasy in my mind."

Nathan fell silent for a moment, realizing that Tasya still had something to say. He chose to enjoy every movement Tasya made in the kitchen. Tasya's words also made him realize something.

"You're too good for someone like me, Nathan."

"Wasn't it clear when I said it yesterday?" Nathan slid his chair slowly. His steps were confident as he approached Tasya, who was still busy making tea. "I bow down to you, Tasya, who's ordinary." Right in front of the girl, Nathan spoke again, this time without hesitation, drowning Tasya with his gaze. To make sure the girl understood that what he was saying was no ordinary matter. "Why?" Tasya asked softly.

Nathan took one step closer to narrow the gap between them. "You're asking why, Tasya?" Tasya remained silent.

"You don't need a reason when someone truly falls in love. Just like me with you, Tasya." He slowly lifted Tasya's chin so their eyes continued to meet. "I'm serious about marriage. I'm talking to Mama and Papa tomorrow. If your mother's condition allows it, I'll talk to her. That's why I'm in charge of her care. If she can't communicate yet, Ronan can be talked to like two mature men, right? He'll understand about marriage, Tasya."

Those eyes had enchanted Tasya for a long time. Eyes full of conviction and a very high level of trust, not to mention his ability to use all his strengths. Nathan and his charisma were enough to make Tasya's heart flutter.

"My biggest fear... you won't be faithful to me anymore, Nathan." The hand that was initially on the edge of the table, she used it to touch the man's face. Feeling the sensation of this man's unshaven face. It looked messy, not like the usual Nathan, but for some reason, Tasya liked to look at it.

"No," Nathan whispered. He closed his eyes to savor every touch Tasya gave him. "You're enough for me."

"Because now I'm in front of you."

"If I may borrow song lyrics, I've been doing it since earlier."

"Song lyrics?"

"Tasya... you're my life. I love you until death. Tasya... open my chest. So you know, so you understand."

"Oh my God!" Tasya burst into laughter, not because of Nathan's off-key singing or his intentionally goofy face, but because, honestly, that song was so outdated. It was indeed a hit in its time.

"I'm serious, Tasya," Nathan said, his face now sporting a slightly offended look. "I'm seriously proposing marriage, and you're not taking it seriously. I'm not kidding, you know." "Yes, Nathan."

"Yes, what?" He pulled her in closer in a tight embrace. "Are you saying yes to marrying me? Do you want to?"
