"If you want to take me into your world, which sounds like it will push me out of my comfort zone, I'm still willing to adjust. If you want to include Naina in our relationship, I'm totally fine with it because I personally don't want Naina to be alone. I appreciate your care and concern for my family too, but there are two things that make it hard for me, Nathan."

"What?" Nathan planted a quick kiss on her forehead. It was short but enough to calm the turmoil in Nathan's chest. Seriously, being this close to Tasya, Nathan felt like he could pounce on her any moment. But no, Nathan still had some self- control because Tasya wasn't the kind of girl he could take to his bedroom. Let them call him whatever they wanted-selfish, shameless, wanting it all for himself-but what could Nathan do when the woman he was dating willingly spread her legs? Meanwhile, Tasya? Only now was she willing to get this close. Before? Never.

"Robin is still in school and needs my attention. If marrying you means I have to balance your desire to roam the world, I'm confused. Also, my mother's situation, Nathan."

"I understand," Nathan quickly interjected.

"When have I ever refused to be by your side? Even though it's work-related, I'm trying to be there for you."

"Yes, Baby. I don't deny that." Tasya tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "You don't need to think about these things too much. What's important is that you're willing to marry me first. Robin and Naina also need our attention. You know what my position is with Naina. I'm also starting to understand what you're like with Robin and Ronan."

Tasya had wanted to speak, but she held back. She could clearly picture Nathan's excitement about his desire to roam freely in the wilderness, living a life without a permanent place, heading to different cities as they pleased without thinking about countless meetings. Work that could follow their movements out there.

"Desires and reality don't always align. We prioritize what's more important while planning for what we'll do later. Who knows, maybe when we're in the planning stage, your mother's condition will be much better."

The corners of Tasya's lips began to curl upward.

"Besides, Faldom is currently in high spirits." Nathan wasn't lying about that. He also understood what concerned Tasya's heart. He couldn't force his desires on her because, in reality, they lived in a world that was no longer the same. He had to think realistically and dynamically while nurturing a way for those desires to be fulfilled.

"So... do you want to marry me?"

Just as Nathan spoke, the teapot that Tasya had been heating up made a loud noise. She even winced from the surprise, and Nathan immediately released his hold.

"I'll pour the tea first," Tasya said, trying to cover up her nervousness.

"Don't make it too hot for me. I want to enjoy it with the biscuits we bought earlier. They seem delicious."

"Yeah, the almond ones are really good."

Nathan chose to move away, sitting in the living room where he could lean back comfortably. He grabbed the remote from the table and turned on the flat-screen TV in front of him. Maybe there was a series he could enjoy before going to bed.

"The tea, Nathan."

Tasya placed the teacup along with the cookie jar she had bought earlier. Before they visited Seira's unit, Tasya had stopped by a well-known bakery around Central Park. She also bought snacks for home and the office because she knew Nathan liked sweet snacks.

"Thank you, Baby."

"Why does my nickname sound weird all of a sudden? I feel like I'm a woman who often keeps you company in bed, ugh." Tasya pouted. "I don't want to be called that!" She chose to sit a bit away from Nathan. "Over here, Tasya," Nathan said, patting the sofa beside him. "Why are you sitting so far from me?"

"I'm not your Baby," Tasya didn't like that nickname. Not because she suddenly felt sulky. Not at all. She felt the shadow of the women who had crossed paths with Nathan in the past. Tasya didn't want to be bothered by the presence of women from Nathan's past.

Bonnie was enough to drive her half crazy. Once she caught Bonnie's hidden intentions, oh boy... Tasya felt like meeting and giving that woman a piece of her mind. Although Tasya doubted if she had the courage because Bonnie had left a certain fear in her mind.

"Okay. What do you want me to call you then?" Nathan leaned slightly.

"Just not a nickname you used before." Tasya took her teacup. She sipped it slowly, her eyes closed, savoring the warmth and sweetness that caressed her taste buds.

"In that case, just Tasya. Is that okay?" After a moment of placing her teacup back, Nathan reached for her slender hand. This action surprised and startled the girl because of what Nathan had just done. Fortunately, she didn't collapse onto Nathan.

"You!" Tasya squinted, not pleased at all.

"Why? Don't want to be close to me?"

"Not like that." Tasya still had to voice her protest. "What if I fall?"

"Fall into my arms, right?" Nathan said while raising his eyebrows, trying to make a funny face to erase Tasya's frown. "You really don't want to be close to me, huh?" Nathan's fingers brushed Tasya's furrowed forehead. "Even though I want to hug you."

"You could just say that, Nathan."

"Do you allow it?" Nathan straightened his back a bit because Tasya had already adjusted her sitting position. Now they were sitting side by side.

"When did I push you away? You usually hug me, right? But not like earlier. I didn't like it."

Nathan laughed. "How about a kiss, then?"

Tasya should have known better than to talk to Nathan in such a provocative tone. Nathan wouldn't easily let go of his prey. He would use every trick and method to ensnare her, and unfortunately, Tasya couldn't escape easily. Plus, she wasn't trying very hard to free herself.

"You need permission," Tasya dared to speak up. She was already half-drenched, so why not take the plunge? She gripped the edge of the sofa tightly with her hands.

"Permission, huh?" Nathan shifted his position, making Tasya unbelievably wide-eyed.

"Nathan?"

"What?" Nathan wasn't about to stop just like that.

"What are you doing?"

"Why?" He didn't want to stop pressuring Tasya until she was truly cornered at the edge of the sofa. Ignoring Tasya's push back and protests. Once the girl was trapped, he captured her in one swift motion, causing Tasya to half-collapse at the edge of the sofa.

"Nathan!" Tasya struggled to keep Nathan from falling on top of her. "You could turn me into a cracker, Nathan! You're heavy!"

"I won't turn you into a cracker, Tasya." Nathan grumbled in protest. "I just want to kiss you."

"But, Nathan," Tasya continued to try to break free.

"Earlier, I was asked for permission. I gave it, didn't I? So, what's the problem, Mama Raptor?"

"But not while lying down like this, right?"

"Then what?" Nathan wouldn't let Tasya escape that easily. He pressed harder, and his tickling had been getting on Tasya's nerves. Once their noses touched, locking eyes intensely, Nathan stopped.

After getting this close, his intentions were halted. He released Tasya, who would surely bolt and leave him alone. No big deal. He'd have a good laugh at his own silly antics. Let Tasya be flustered by his behavior. Besides, he could feel how erratic Tasya's heartbeats were, not unlike his own. Was this what people meant by falling in love? Their hearts racing uncontrollably?

Unfortunately, it was only an intention. Nathan's eyes were already enjoying how beautiful Tasya was in front of him. For Nathan, Tasya was perfect. Beautiful. And seductive at the same time. And it got worse when the girl under his support actually wet her lips. I don't know if it was intentional or not. But the effect was overwhelming.

"Can I kiss you?" Nathan asked as quietly as he could. He stroked Tasya's smooth cheek and slowly removed the thick-framed glasses she was still wearing.

"Tasya?" Nathan was frustrated. Tasya didn't speak at all, but...

"I like the way you call me Tasya, Nathan." Tasya's hand was wrapped perfectly around Nathan's neck. It was both a grip and a gesture for him to come closer to her. "Kiss me more than ever, Nathan." Tasya finished the sentence by bringing their lips together.

Which was greeted with joy by Nathan. The hand that had rubbed Tasya's cheek, he used to hold her neck. So that she would look up and return his kiss. Nathan did this very slowly and carefully. One by one, he traced the surface of the lips that had worn off their moisturizer. Without missing a beat.

Gently sucking and sucking. Feeling the softness of Tasya's lips. Alternately. Up and down. He didn't waste any of it. With the tip of his tongue, Nathan made a wet trail there. Licking as if the sweetness of Tasya's lips would never end. "Nathan." A deep, very deep sigh reached Nathan's ears. In sync with the sigh, Nathan could feel the more Tasya pressed herself closer to him. Even with the sigh, Nathan explored the inside of Tasya's mouth. He took Tasya's teeth one by one and twisted the girl's tongue.

He sucked quite hard and went back to playing with Tasya's lips in such a gentle way.

I don't know how many times Nathan did the same thing, which made Tasya even more restless down there. It was the random movements that created the sensations that created the madness in Nathan's mind. More and more he pressed himself against Tasya's body. His chest felt the softness of Tasya's still tightly wrapped breasts.

If he hadn't remembered the limit he had to hold, he might have undressed Tasya by now. Enjoyed her beautiful body. He had to be able to control himself, right? Although Tasya's sighs drove him crazy again.

His fingers boldly began to trace the side of Tasya's free neck. He could feel the tingle there as she was busy exchanging kisses, not wanting to be outdone by the touch Nathan could give. When his fingertips reached the hem of her still- buttoned shirt, Nathan stopped. It wasn't just the kiss that forced him to pause. Nathan needed time to think and make sure his girl didn't mind.

But even if she didn't mind, Nathan had to hold back. That's right! Oh, my God! Nathan was really frustrated.

"Why stop?"

Nathan blinked slowly. He was confused by Tasya's attitude.

"It could be dangerous if I continue, Tasya." Nathan closed his eyes tightly. Their foreheads were pressed together. Their breaths were ragged, fighting for the little oxygen they had. "I..." Tasya gasped a little as the kiss was completely different from the last time Nathan had done it to her.

"I don't want to cross any boundaries," Nathan grumbled softly. "As much as I desire tonight, I don't want you to think you're just like any other woman in my life. You're different, Tasya." Tasya didn't know how to respond to Nathan's words. What she wanted to say was that she would stop him if he went too far. Oh... Tasya felt embarrassed.

"Don't turn away from me, Tasya."

Since when did Tasya turn her face away? Maybe it was because of the embarrassment that overcame her, and she unconsciously turned away? Oh God! She shouldn't have done that, right? "I'm sorry," Nathan said. "I went too far, didn't I?"

Tasya quickly shook her head. "No, Nathan."

"But why don't you want to look at me again?"

Tasya thought quickly, and her words slipped from her lips just as fast. "In the past, I proposed to a man. I told him to wait for me to mature before marrying me."

Nathan's smile slowly grew wider.

"Now... do you think that man would want to marry me?"

"Of course! That man is me. I'm the one who will marry you. Not anyone else. Just me. Nathan Sinclair."
