88 Ceremony Part 1 Rosalyn POV

Standing in the dressing room, I can't help but smile at myself wearing the beautiful dress that bears the Blue Crescent pack's colors of dark blue and hunter green. A part of me wondered how it would feel today after having done this before everything went to hell. Would it tarnish this experience, but the answer is not even a little. Had you asked me this when my pain was fresh I know the answer would be different, but at this moment, I couldn't imagine being with anyone but Beckham.

Reese was a childhood fantasy that should have stayed that. This desire of a teenage girl because he was never meant to be my forever. I didn't understand that at the time, but it couldn't be clearer now. I'm would never say that I'm happy he betrayed me but I'm glad that I found the man that is my forever. I can't stop the tears that flow down my cheeks. She pulls me in for a hug. I've been blessed to have two amazing women who showed me strength and love. Maureen's right. She is my mother, even if Reese is not my mate anymore. I may have lost people who should have loved and protected me, but I gained so many that would walk through fire to stand by my side.

The Day of the Ceremony Barrett POV

I stare at the fresh mark on my neck. I honestly never thought I would ever see such a beautiful sight again. Not because I wasn't open to having a second chance, but because I never expected the goddess to give me one. Losing Abigale was hard to live through, but

loving her made my life complete.

Despite the fact she was taken from me I didn't feel the Goddess owed me the chance to have that kind of love again in my life. The moment I stepped into that hospital room after Mindy frantically asked me to heal Reese's mother after the attack, it was like all the air was

knocked out of me.

Seeing this beautiful woman that was meant to be mine lying in a hospital bed had both me and my wolf on the verge of losing it. I couldn't lose her, not after I just found her. She was meant to be mine. The moment she opened her eyes I was consumed by the love that I had for her. That's not to say Abigale won't always hold a place in my heart, but Maureen is my heart now. Hell, Abigale probably convinced the goddess to send her to me. She was always selfless.

I smile as I adjust my tie. Today is the Alpha and Luna ceremony for the Blue Crescent. Despite having never been blessed with biological children, I now have five. I've claimed Addie, Reese, Jayden, Jacob, and Beck as my own. Being able to be part of the ceremony where Beck and Jayden stand before the three packs and claim their titles has pride welling up inside me.

Christopher deserved more than to just be a member of the pack after all his father and brother tried to take from him. He is now the Gamma of the Black Rose and will be in charge,

so Logan can attend Addie and Rose's ceremony. Also, all but three of the rogues has pure intentions and are now part of the Black Rose.

Maureen and Mindy spent the night at the Blue Crescent last night so they could help Addie

and Rose get ready for the ceremony. It's the first time I've slept alone since Maureen and I found each other, and I'm glad it won't happen often. I missed holding her in my arms. The trip to the pack is uneventful and when we pull in we make our way to Beck's office.

"Barrett, I'm so glad you're here. I can never thank you enough for what you did for us," Jayden says. "You saved yourself and Jacob, Jayden. I may have been there to ensure it happened but you stood up and made sure those two pr*cks paid for what they did."

I shock him pulling him in for a hug. I know based on what little I know of that pr*ck Mason, he never showed Jayden, Jacob, or Beck the love they deserved. I will make sure they know going forward what its like to have a father that loves them. It takes Jayden a second to return to the hug, but he does. I do the same with Jacob and Beck. "Jacob, this is Logan. He is the Beta of the Black Rose. Logan, this is my youngest son, Jacob.""

As they shake I notice tears stream down Jacob's cheeks that he quickly wipes away. "I am also Addie's best friend" he says. "You better be careful not to say that in front of Rosalyn. I'm not sure if she won't give you a beat down if she hears you try to claim her best friend," Beck says and Jacob laughs. "Rosalyn loves me too. I'm happy she found you Beck. She deserves to be happy," Logan says, and I smile.

"Well, I think we should get outside. It's almost time to start the ceremony."We make our way through the pack house and outside to the pack yard that has been decorated for the occasion. I'm happy to see the members of all three packs mingling. As we make our way to the stage people begin to take their seats.

When Maureen steps out of the pack house she takes my breath away. I make my way to her and pull her in for a kiss. When I pull back her smile makes everything around us fall away. "You look very handsome" she says. "You look stunning. I missed you last night." She presses a quick kiss to my lips when Miranda announces we are about to begin. "I missed you too. I'll make it up to you tonight," she says, before she takes her seat. Goddess this woman. Once I take the stage, Beckham, Jayden, and Emmett join me. After a few minutes pass the doors that lead to the garden open and Stacey steps out first. Addie follows her, never taking her eyes off Jayden. There is a brief pause before Rosalyn steps out. The low growl from Beckham makes me chuckle. When they make their way onto the stage, Emmett and Stacey come forward first.

"As the head of the council I would like to thank you all for joining us today. As some of you may know, not only do I represent the council, but I'm here to celebrate with my family. Beckham, Jayden, Jacob, and Addie have been claimed by myself and my wolf. I consider them my pups along with Reese Orick, the Alpha of the Black Rose. That makes today's

ceremony even more special for me. I'm proud to watch my sons and daughter take their rightful places in this pack."

Crescent Pack." After they both say their vows they step back. "Addison and Jayden Forester," I say and they step forward. I'm shocked when Addie wraps her arms around me. I press a kiss on the top of her head before she steps back, taking Jayden's hand. "Addison and Jayden, as of today you are officially Beta and Beta Female of the Blue Crescent. "They make their vows and step back.

"Beckham and Rosalyn Forester please step forward." They come to stand in front of me. "That's my mommy and daddy" a sweet voice says from my mate's lap. I smile down at the little girl that has no idea how special she truly is. "Yes they are little one"I say, and everyone chuckles. "Beckham and Rosalyn Forester, as of today you are Alpha and Luna of the Blue Crescent pack. May the goddess bless your leadership and bond. "They both make their vow to the pack.

I'm about to announce the pack run when a wave of unease passes over me. I look around, my wolf pushing forward, worried about our mate and pups. I see concern flash in Maureen's eyes as she must feel my worry through our bond. I notice Rosalyn start to move out of the corner of my eye as she rushes down the stairs without a word. She quickly takes Lily from Maureen before several loud growls have every one out of their seats. Beckham jumps off the stage, but before he can reach them, something silver hurdles through the air toward Rosalyn, who is shielding Lily. Everything around me freezes. I'm confused until

I see the barrier that separates Rosalyn and Lily from the rest of us. I look toward the seats and Mindy is smiling.
