My Mate Is A Human
Chapter 25

The albino watched her leave the room, and bristled at the idea that no one would respect her as what she was, an Alpha. For the time being she would have to get used to the fact that she followed another leader. But that wouldn’t be for long. She saw the freshly made bed and touched the softness of the sheets, she sighed, she missed home in the depths of her soul. He didn’t want to be there. A tear rolled down her cheek, but she wiped it away. She didn’t want to be vulnerable, she had to be strong for her village or what was left of it.

-All right, girls, I think you’d better go up to your room, tomorrow we’ll have time to talk about why you’re here. Marcus spoke. The girls looked at Ethan.

-Go get some rest. Said the young man.

-I’m sorry if we caused you trouble Ethan, it’s the last thing we really want. Shery whispered to him, but he knew his father could hear them.

-It’s okay, I’ll take care of it. He gave her a warm smile.

She seemed to calm down and finally took her sister’s hands. They stopped in front of Marcus for a second.

-Sorry for the inconvenience, sir. Shery said apologetically. -Good night.

-Good night ladies. They hurried upstairs and Marcus looked at his serious son.

-All right, let’s talk.

JB realized it was time for father and son to leave. He said a respectful goodbye to both of them and left. Ethan took a seat and Marcus followed suit. He told him everything that was going on, from the time he found Shery beaten and almost dying to the time he took them to the house. He told him about the wolves and how bad the girls’ house smelled. His father was serious without saying a word. When the young man finished telling him the story, he was ready to answer.

-Do you like that girl?

-She is my father’s moon. He saved it for last, he didn’t know what his father’s reaction would be.

-That human? For heaven’s sake. And you haven’t told her about us, what are you thinking? What happens when she comes out and sees a huge wolf wandering around?

-I know, I haven’t found the time to talk to her about it yet. But I will soon.

-Crap, kids, what have you got yourself into. I was hoping that at least the girl was a she-wolf.

-That’s why I couldn’t replace her in the pack, she wasn’t here.

-And that’s why you disobeyed me?

-I’m sorry, but my instinct led me to her.

Marcus ran his hands over his face, visibly exhausted. He wanted to take a bath and sleep for at least a whole day. It had been four days since he had slept absolutely nothing and was barely thinking straight. Finding his home with two human girls was a serious problem, the council would not be very happy. But they had to accept it since the young girl was the female of their son. But what about the sister? They could accept one, but two?

-What about the sister?

-They have nowhere to go father, if they expel Eve, Shery will go with her.

-You know they’ll only take one. -It’s a problem, son. It’s a problem son.

-I know that, but I won’t let any of them leave. -I know that, but I won’t let any of them leave.

-I know that, but I won’t let any of them leave. -I’ll see what I can do.

-I’ll see what I can do. But first of all you must be prepared.

-And I am!

-These are your people, your home. You can’t throw it all away for your wife Ethan. Be more responsible.

-If they get kicked out, I’ll go with them.

That said, he got up from his chair and left, leaving his father with so many questions and doubts. Marcus thought his son was too stubborn, too stubborn to be managed. If he told him that, it’s because that’s what he would do. Abandon everything to lead a normal life, never to become what he really is again. And the Blue Moon pack would be left without a leader.

The Loon sisters were in their momentary room chatting about the new addition to the house, and most of all about Ethan’s father. He didn’t look any older than his own father, but what could you expect from Steven Loon, a drunk and a drug addict. Addiction was eating him alive.

-What do you think of that new girl? She called us human, as if she wasn’t too. Eve mentioned to him, rolling herself up in the blankets.

-She’s not a child at all, at least physically, have you seen her? Besides being rude, she’s unfriendly. I didn’t understand that very well, what did she mean?

-I don’t know, she’s crazy. I don’t think we’ll get along here. Besides, we’re like a lot of people already.

-I think so too. Maybe we’re too much here, Eve.

-And what do we do?

-Wait I guess! Sigh, she was tired of so many problems. I just wanted to sleep and for it all to go away.

Meanwhile Ethan was torn between knocking on Shery’s door or leaving her alone to process everything that had happened, she probably had a lot of doubts. But he needed to set the record straight, he had let too many days go by without telling her the truth. He had to do it sooner rather than later. Finally knocking on the door and talking to her for a couple of minutes would be fine. The girls heard the light knocking, and Shery hurried to open the door.

That boy sure was handsome, even in jeans and a black cotton shirt he exuded that slight hint of tough guy danger, of excitement that manifested itself making him fascinating and manly.

-Hi Shery! Do you have a moment?

-Sure, sure. He closed the door behind her and they stood alone in the hallway.

-I want to apologise for that girl’s behaviour, I don’t know why she acted that way. She’s a child.

-Why did she refer to us as humans? What’s wrong with her?

-Eh yes, well, she… -I’ll explain later, I promise.

-Okay. I look away. -Hey, I hope I’m not causing trouble with your father. He didn’t look too happy.

-It’s okay. -It’s okay. It’s all right.

They were so close, you could feel the temperature rising in the room. Why did that happen every time they were alone? It wasn’t uncomfortable, just disconcerting to feel so attracted to someone you barely knew. She wasn’t indifferent to him, but would she continue to allow it?

-Then I’ll go inside and rest. She looked him in the face.

-Yes,” he said hesitantly, seeing her eyes glaze over.

He rested his gaze on her lips, and that was it. The contact was as magical as the first time. Warmth coursed through her body, a heat passing from his body to hers. Warming her all over in every possible way. Their bodies joined, deepening the k**s, in the middle of a hallway.

Ethan wrapped his hands around her neck to pull her closer to him. He kissed her urgently, they might lose control. This k**s wasn’t like the first one, it was taking a different direction, a more delicious one.

The doorknob rattled behind them made a noise, breaking the couple’s contact. Shery quickly opened the door and before her sister could get out she stepped inside, closing it behind her. Her heart was about to burst out of her chest with excitement, that k**s was like no other. Ethan tasted so good, like green apples. It was delicious. She was so caught up in her thoughts that she didn’t notice her sister watching her carefully with a smirk on her face.

Daren was walking through a dense forest, one that lay behind his prized home. He was alone, no guards, no watchers. It was a moment all to himself. No one would touch a hair on his head, it all belonged to him. And he would look for much more. It was pitch dark, the moonlight illuminated the path he was walking, it smelled cold and icy. But he didn’t feel that much in his body. The night was long, and that’s just when he needed a breather, to let off steam completely. To get his demons out into the open. Far away he could smell her, her fear, her dread. Breathing was ragged and ragged.

She smiled, the cold was taking its toll on her. Tiring her. It was exciting, this game of chasing the cat. In this one almost a cute naughty kitten. He was close to her, his scent intensifying. He stopped in the middle of a swirl of trees. She looked specifically at one and then looked up. The kitten was on top of it.

-What are you doing up there? You’ll hurt yourself.

-Get out of here. I’m not coming down from here wild.

-Oh! -I’m offended. I’ve been so good to you all these years.

-No way. -No way.

-Come down! He said in a threatening tone.

-NO! I yell at her.

He was losing his patience for that f*****g bitch. He’d replace another way to get her down. Even if no one knew him well enough to know that he wasn’t a man of patience, the truth was that he’d rather get it over with than deal with it. Unless he wanted to play, but that was another story. But that night he did want to play, but the young woman was making it difficult for him.
