My Mate Is A Human
Chapter 26

-Come down by hook or by crook.

-You’re a coward. You murdered my sister. You bastard!

-Your sister? Oh yes, I remember her, a good girl. But very pushy. But that has nothing to do with us, you know why I brought you here Gina. You behaved badly.

-Because I wanted to run away from this dog’s life, I saw what they did to my poor sister. There’s hardly anything left of her. You miserable wretch. She said crying.

-What a pity! He said without a hint of sadness, “Let’s say she didn’t deserve that, but you deserve what you deserve. Running away from here is not an option for you, princess.

-F**k you, Daren. You’re an animal.

-Yes, I am. He said in a hoarse, almost unrecognisable voice. The woman’s head jerked and she lost her balance, falling from the top of the tree.

The impact caused her to buckle in half from the pain, and she g*****d and looked at her leg. It was broken, and bleeding badly. She looked around and Daren was nowhere to be seen, that voice scared her. She had never heard him talk like that, and she had slept with him many times. Climbing the tree was a lost cause, so she sat up and limped as best she could to the mountains. Her leg hurt like hell, but that wouldn’t stop her. She heard a deep breathing near her, like that of an animal, a bear? Or wolves? She heard a lot of talk about wolves in the forest. And what was left of her sister corroborated it.

Fear was the best part of it all for Daren, it gave him satisfaction, it filled him completely, hurting this person was his priority right now. He watched her closely, the poor thing was trying to run away, what she didn’t know was that she had no escape in that part of the forest. He saw her leaning against a tree and approached her, stepping out of the darkness.

-You won’t get far in that state.

-Daren! Fear came over her a thousand times more.

-This game is over.

-No, please, I don’t want to die.

He approached her slowly, like a predator hunting and cornering its prey. She saw his determination and fell to the ground, unable to move. She had resigned herself to die that night, but without first being able to defend herself a little. Daren stalked her, he was a safe distance away and suddenly out of nowhere the girl saw him transform into a huge white wolf with eyes as red as b***d. She was shocked by such a sight. What was it, a werewolf? Was she still drugged? From its snout a white slime was spurting out, coming out in great quantities. It tasted with its huge tongue. It was a very large animal.

-What… What are you… You? He asked with tears in his eyes, the steam coming out of his mouth each time intensifying with each puff of air.

But she would not receive an answer from Daren, he attacked her by the head with his huge, sharp teeth. The girl grabbed him by the throat and without thinking she wielded a small knife she had stolen from one of the guys she was sent to sleep with. She thrust it into the animal from the side, gaining space between them so she could crawl away from him. Her face felt like it was on fire and she was dripping b***d by the bucketful. She heard the wolf whimper, but didn’t turn to look at it.

A bite to her leg stopped her, the pain was excruciating. Her bones crunched, it was so strong that she thought she would faint, but she didn’t. The animal had her by the leg. The animal was holding her leg, she could see in its thick white fur a lot of b***d, she had hurt it but it was not enough to immobilize it. The knife was too small for such a large animal. He let go, and as he bared his fangs she could see hatred, anger, rage, fury, he was angry at what he had done to her. She saw the red in his eyes and knew that would be the last thing he would do.

Daren tried to wipe the b***d from his body, but it was no use. He was stark naked looking at Gena’s lifeless body lying on the floor. He would leave the remains for his little boys who were soon to arrive. The girl deserved the punishment, trying to escape from the village as if that was possible.

-Poor deluded girl! He smiled, satisfied that he had taken out all the frustration he was carrying, “You thought you could end my life with this simple knife. He looked at his wound and it was already closed.

He threw aside the small object and soon a pack of grey wolves arrived on the scene, when they smelled and saw their Alpha they all lowered their ears and hid their tails between their paws.

-It’s all for you guys.

He turned around and as he did so he heard the crunching of bones and some wolves fighting over the food. He felt full for ending the girl’s life, no one would mock or sneak his power without him paying the consequences.

The moon was at its highest point, bright and silvery… Incredibly beautiful, you could admire it all night long if you had to. Its splendid light illuminated any dark path, for anyone who could not see. But that was not the case with Daren, he walked with confidence, he knew where to go.

His steps were firm and determined. With his big smile of satisfaction he walked into a dark and gloomy forest, no human could dare to go into those parts, and the one who did, unfortunately for that person would never come out. But he was not like anyone else, he was a King.

A wicked smile escaped his lips as he remembered with pleasure how he ended that girl’s life, she was such a fool. Still the adrenaline coursed through his body, he wanted more, craved more. It was torture to have to restrain himself from wiping out everyone in the damn town, but he had his reasons.

They provided him with a lot of money and that was the only reason they were still alive. Insignificant humans he thought, the only ones he wanted were out of his reach for now. Poor things, they thought they could escape his clutches just like that. He knew full well where they were and who the hell they were with. Shery was cunning, but no more so than he and all his years on top of it.

She was ungrateful, having provided him with a roof over his head, she paid him back like that. He just wanted her submission and her body, how hard could that be. Under his power nothing would happen to them, unless they challenged him. But the bitch chose to escape.

Anger consumed him at the thought of her with that damned wolf cub, but that would be another one to pay, he and all of his miserable good-for-nothing clan. His friends would take it upon themselves to tear the whole place apart leaving no one alive. After all, his little wild wolves were always hungry, and he was getting more and more of them.

He pushed aside some branches that covered a small entrance, and without thinking he entered it. It was a kind of dark tunnel where he had to walk a little bit crouched down, he hated going to that place but it was necessary to do it for his own good.

It took him about five minutes to reach the end of the stinking corridor. At the end he found a bunch of wolves that the only thing they did was growl and bark at him, from their snouts came out a kind of white drool and their eyes were injected with rage. He was not afraid of any of them, they would not come too close to him. He advanced along the path that they were leaving him free, but without taking his eyes off them. He advanced to a hill like a kind of throne made of stones.

-I’ve told you a thousand times that I don’t want you here.

-I’ll come as often as I like. Daren replied nonchalantly.

-I don’t want you here, get out! The man’s voice was hoarse.

-I need to ask you a few questions.

-Everything you need to know you know, now GET OUT. I shout at him.

The wolves around him grew more menacing as they heard the shout of the man sitting on the stone throne.

-If you don’t answer me, I’ll keep coming. I don’t think you’ll like that. Daren folded his arms.

-You’re an insolent bastard, I should end your worthless life. – What do you want this time, Daren?

-I need to know what my options are for sireing a puppy.

-You f*****g idiot, is that all you came here for? I didn’t make it clear to you what I taught you, you useless piece of good-for-nothing shit. The mysterious man shouted at him.

-Tell me with a demon.

-You know it by heart, you idiot. The man stepped forward and stared him in the face. All you need is an albino she-wolf. He sat back on his throne.

Daren was losing his patience, and with those damn wolves around him barking and growling at him it was driving him crazy. He wanted to get out of there, but he needed answers.

-But there must be more. What about a human?

-You’ll never get her pregnant. They don’t have the strength.

-But what if I try?

-You f*****g brat, you try to impregnate a filthy human? He said with mockery and contempt.

-That’s my problem.

-You’ll never make it, your time is running out Daren. If you let your one rut in your whole rotten life pass you’ll be nothing.

-Do you think I want to be like you? -You think I want to be like you?

-I hope not. He replied with a sarcastic laugh.
