“It’s not… not that what you think, sir.” Kane tried to lie. “Sometimes, there is work at home as well.”

“Yeah! Yeah! I can understand that work perfectly; after all, I, too, have a place which I can call as home.” Artemis said without lifting his head.

“I wonder how you can manage everything in a bed even after working so much.” He mumbled in a low tone, but Artemis heard him loud and clear. Bolt chuckled, hearing him.

“Umm… sir!! You know it’s Saturday, but we are still working. So, I.. I was wondering if I could go home early?” Kane asked, to which Artemis looked at him back. “I know that I’m getting paid double for the overtime, but… I planned a date for my wife for being so supportive during all this busy schedule,” he added.

“Sure!! Enjoy your evening.” Artemis said.

“Thank you, sir. Your private jet is ready. Just let me know when you will be leaving for Paris. I will ask…”

“I’m not going to Paris tonight.” Artemis cut him in between. “My family is here today and tomorrow. So, after finishing my work will be going to my penthouse,” he added. Once Kane left, Artemis started smiling on his own.

‘We are so lucky to have a mate like Sarah, who is not just understanding but also came to us to avoid us traveling on a regular basis.’ Bolt said.

‘That’s true, and I have a plan for tonight.’

‘The same of taking Caroline on a date, isn’t it?”

‘No. I have just changed it. I mean, the date is so common. How about we run tonight?’ Artemis asked, changing the plan at the last moment, on which Bolt howled happily.

After finishing the work as soon as possible, he reached his penthouse and found Artin talking to Caroline’s parents with a sad face.

“I miss you.” He confessed, looking at them through video call.

“I miss you too, son,” Sophia responded back. And it was true; Artin’s presence in the house was everyone aware that there was a baby in the house who always used to run here and there, replaceing such a big place. Not just that, even Artin was happy to receive attention from so many people. “And why are you feeling sad? You will be back after two days, aren’t you?”

“Yes!!” Artin said, nodding his head.

“Oh, you are planning to leave me already?” Artemis asked, teasing him, and Artin dropped the phone on the floor and ran to hug Artemis. Caroline smiled and picked up her phone from the floor.

“Hey, Mom.”

“Your son ditched me the moment he saw Artemis,” Sophia complained, on which Caroline giggled.

“Well, what can I say about that?” I will talk to you later; bye!!” Disconnecting the call, she saw the due of father and son, who were enjoying their time together.

“What will you eat tonight?” She said, looking at the time.

“No need to prepare dinner or anything. We are visiting my parents tonight, and then I plan to spend some time in our wolf form. I believe you haven’t spent a lot of magic recently.” Artemis suggested.

“Nope. I was saving it for Shaba.”

“Perfect then.” With this, Artemis looked at Artin. “Today, he is going to see us shifting. After all, he should also know what he is and what he will become on his eighteen birthday.”

“By the way, why do you ask him to do household work? He is a boy, not a girl.” Artemis said when he saw Artin coming with a glass of water, and he was walking carefully.

“Excuse me? What do you mean by he is a boy, not a girl?” Caroline sneered.

“I mean.. He can learn all these things if he wants when he will grow old. Just like I did.” Artemis corrected himself immediately.

“Whether he wants or not, he should know the basic things, hon. It’s not that he is doing a lot of work.
