Little did everyone know Caroline had the ability to see souls, the ability she got after life after her death. She saw Isabella’s soul moving around her and Artemis all the time. Caroline acted like she didn’t know about it and acted casually, but at the same time, she tried to figure out who the hell she was.

Was she some lost ghost?

Or someone else.

But soon she realized that the woman was with some motive. She literally used to follow them all the time, watching every moment of theirs. At first, she thought the woman was for her because she keep an eye on her more than Artemis, as if she was making notes on Caroline’s daily routines.

The very first moment, Caroline secured Artemis with her power when Isabella was not around so that she would have an idea of what that soul was up to. All the while, when Isabella thought Caroline was an idiot who couldn’t sense her and when Sophia told her about a soul in the house. Caroline dismissed it by saying there were no such things in the world. And finally, she came to know who the hell that woman was when Isabella talked with Artemis.

She couldn’t explain the anger that she felt when she came to know about that woman being Artemis’s Ex-mate. She remembered controlling herself from attacking this witch that day; if this would have been different that day, then she would have pulled out all her hair from Isabella’s head.

On the other side, Artemis was on a business tour, trying to finish all his future work and future scheduled meetings.

“Sir, your wedding is on the ninth day of today, and you’re still working.”

“I’m working so that I can enjoy my holidays without any trouble of work with my wife and my son.”

“Your son? You’re taking him on your honeymoon?” Kane asked in surprise.

“Obviously!! He can’t stay away from caroline even for a day. There is no way he can stay away from us for three weeks.” Artemis said, and he didn’t like the idea of leaving Artin behind. He could have taken the risk of leaving his own pup for a once but not in the case of Artin. Artin had already felt the feeling of being abandoned. The last thing he would want to do is to make Artin feel the same way again.

‘Enough of Artin now!! Think about his mother, with whom we haven’t met for the last five days.’ Bolt said.

‘It’s not that I’m not thinking about her. Today she is not keeping an eye on me because I can’t sense her around me. Seems like my mate has forgotten that it is our second month anniversary from the moment we met in that nightclub.’ Artemis chuckled.

‘So, what’s your plan?’

‘Why are so asking? Go ahead and block me just because I’m not talking to our mate.’ Artemis teased. ‘Actually, I have planned a surprise for her, and the fact that she is not keeping an eye on me is beneficial to us. I’m sure Sophia would have delivered our gift to her, so she would know where she had to go after Artin would be asleep.

Sophia entered Caroline’s room silently when she was giving a bath to Artin. Instead of a bath, Artin was more like enjoying and playing in the big tub by hitting the water with his hands happily.

She placed the dress that Artemis had asked her to give to her with a note about where she had gone.

‘I told you that he is planning a surprise for you, Princess.’ Sophia thought, placing Artemis’s gift on her bed. ‘I hope you both will sort out your issues tonight.’ She hoped and left the room without saying anything to her. She wanted Caroline to get surprised by telling her that there was something on the bed. Sophia didn’t want to spoil the surprise. So, she silently left Caroline’s room.

“Artin, let’s come out of the water now.”

“No, peleaseee.” He denied it, showing his puppy ideas.

“Fine!! Five minutes more. After that, you will come with me on your own, or I will forcefully take you with me.”

Out in her room, Isabella appeared in the room and picked up the gift that she had seen Sophia keeping in Caroline’s room.

‘I knew the plan that you have made with your mother-in-law, Emis, but I won’t let this plan be fruitful. Not till I’m alive. Now, see how I am going to build the difference between you two.’ She thought and looked at the drug in her other room that she had found in Sophia’s room. After staying for a while in the house, she had learned a lot of things about this house, so that fact that Sophia could sense her, and just like her, even her son, Colton, could sense her presence. That was why she used to stay away from them as much as possible. ‘Tonight, you will be mine, Emis, again. And you will not even realize how I will turn your world upside down. This time, I will lay such a wicked trap that you won’t be able to understand how the hell I will become the mother of your unborn pup again.’

Artemis placed the cake in between. He knew that neither Caroline nor she was interested in the cake, but a little celebration wouldn’t harm, right? Also, this was the first five days when he had neither talked with her nor seen her face.

‘This is the longest fight ever and finally today it is going to an end.’ He sighed and looked at the decoration of the suite where he was staying because of work.

‘Perks of owning the hotel.’ He thought and pulled out his phone to message Sophia.

‘What’s the update?’

‘Your job is done, son.’

‘Thank you, Mom.’ He texted and tossed his phone away after checking the time.
