My Mate Is An Omega -
My Mate Is A Virgin Chapter 7
Jasper POV
"Oh. Where are we going?" Wade showed me his yellowest smile. I swear to the f*****g Goddess, it was taking all of my self-control not to punch his teeth out.
"You are staying here," I stated harshly, looking straight into his eyes as I wrapped my hand around Dree's arm, pulling her closer to me.
As I was about to turn around to leave, I heard his annoying voice again. "I'm afraid that's not how it works, buddy. According to the Queen's orders-"
"In my mother's absence, you are to answer to me, and to me only." To my surprise, my mate released herself from my grasp and took a step forward. When she lifted her chin up, her powerful aura made Phoenix drool inside my head. "I'm giving you the night off, guard."
The male lynx's gaze shifted between me and her a few times before he finally lowered his head, sighing. Apparently, he couldn't go against her orders, and honestly, I didn't know how to take that information.
"Now, if you'll excuse us for a moment..." She glanced at me from the corner of her eyes. "My mate and I would like to discuss the details of our date in private."
"Yes, my Princess." He bowed at her before turning around to leave. Soon after, Dree started walking in the opposite direction. I found myself instinctively following her.
"So, where are you taking me?" She grinned once we had distanced ourselves enough from Tigger.
Still processing what had happened, I barely paid attention to her question. "You could have just done that the whole time?!" I glanced behind my shoulder to make sure we weren't being spied on.
To my surprise, she shrugged. "After denying me, I think you deserved to suffer a little." My eyes widened in this belief, and I stopped dead in my tracks. She had a sassy smile on her face when she turned to look at me. "Besides, I like the way you look when you're jealous."
"I'm not-" I shook my head. There was no point in arguing. Instead, I just crossed my arms in front of my chest and huffed. "Unbelievable."
"Oh, but you should believe it, runner boy." I frowned when she called me by the silly nickname, but when her diamond eyes met mine, it still took my breath away. She moved closer graciously as ever, placing her index finger underneath my chin. "I can be your sweetest dream..." She leaned into my ear, her hot breath making me shiver in pleasure. "Or your worst nightmare. It's up to you."
Damn it! Why did her warning sound so f*****g hot? I could already feel my d**k hardening inside my pants, and it scared me, because she definitely knew how to take advantage of my weakness. Fortunately for me, she just pulled away, continuing on her way. "By the way, I changed my mind..." My thoughts were so hazy I had to blink a few times to understand what she meant. "Don't tell me where we're going tonight. I like surprises."
"And where are you going?" I finally asked, noticing she seemed to be heading back towards the pack house.
"Don't you have Gamma duties to take care of? I'll be waiting for you in our room. I miss having some time to myself. I'm always surrounded by people here."
"Alright, let me give you the..." I stopped before I could finish my sentence when I realized the keys to the Gamma suite weren't in my back pocket, where I usually kept them. Tapping on my other pockets, I noticed it was nowhere to be found.
And then, I saw something shining as Andromeda lifted her hand up. I found what I was looking for right around her finger. "Already got 'em."
I was confused for a moment, but after giving the weird situation some thought, I realized she must have taken it from my pocket when she approached me a second earlier. Were all cats this sneaky? I couldn't help but smile like a fool as I watched her walk away; for better or for worse, I had a feeling this woman would never cease to surprise me.
I shook my head, taking a deep breath to set my mind straight, after all, I had work to do. However, there was another thing I had to take care of first. Heading to a more quiet area, I pulled my phone out and started dialing a number; the only one I had been able to memorize. Once again, I had been impulsive by promising to take Dree out on a date when I had no idea how any of that romantic s**t worked. Thankfully, I knew exactly who could help me.
"Hi, handsome!" The familiar voice on the other side of the line immediately made me relax. She sounded so happy; it was nice to know at least one of us had our love life straight. "Haven't heard from you in a while. Did you forget about me already?" "Not quite. There's just been a lot going on the past few days, Sasha," I confessed.
Her tone became more serious as she noticed my distress. "Okay, spill!"
And I did. I told her about everything, from how I had met my mate, to the fact that she was a virgin, and I hadn't been able to get anything right between us thus far. I kept talking as the minutes went by, only then realizing I had been desperate to vent, yet out of everyone I knew, she was the only one I truly felt safe with. Maybe it was because I had seen her ugly side too, but I just knew she wouldn't judge me.
"Goddess help us all. You're a disaster, Jazz!" She laughed once I finished my monologue. At least misfortune was amusing to someone.
"Yeah, yeah. Are you happy now?"
"Very much!" she chanted, to my own disbelief. "I'm happy that you found your mate, and that she's giving you what you deserve! You might not understand it now, but she'll turn you into a better man; I just know that. You could make it a lot easier on both of you if you just-"
"Alright, that's not what I called you for!" I snapped, and I could almost feel her rolling her eyes from 75 miles away, but at least she stayed silent. "I invited her out on a date this morning."
"And..."
"I did it on impulse. I...I have no idea how to plan an actual date," I confessed, facepalming myself in distress. Why did I sound even stupider when I said it out loud?
"Oh, Jazz! Why do you always have to complicate everything?" For a moment, her amusement was gone as I noticed a hint of compassion in her tone. "All you have to do is follow your heart instead of your head." "What does that even mean?"
"Chérie? We need you over here." My ears twitched when I heard a different, distant male voice on the other side of the line.
"Coming!" Sasha yelled before lowering her voice again. "Sorry, I gotta go. Luna duties and all."
"Of course, you're a very important person now," I replied playfully.
"Let me know how your date goes later. And I want details!" she demanded, ending our call soon after.
I stared at the screen for a good minute until I finally decided to shove it in my pocket, sighing. Now that my only help was gone, I was left to figure everything out on my own. Follow your heart, she said. As I made my way towards the small house just outside the town center, I kept repeating her words inside my head, in hopes it would eventually start making sense. Before long, I had reached my destination. At least this would give me some time to clear my mind.
"Gamma Jasper." The former warrior lowered his head in respect just seconds after I knocked on his door. Charles used to be excellent at fighting, until he lost his hand while defending our pack against a bear attack a few months ago. "Alpha Lancaster told me you would come. Would you like to come in?"
"Yes, please." I forced a smile as he opened the door wider, moving out of the way.
Just as I took a place at his small table, he poured me a glass of whiskey. The strong scent of low quality alcohol reminded me of my days as a regular warrior, back when life was simpler and there weren't so many eyes on me. Now, we only drank expensive s**t. "I'm sorry. That's the best I got." The young man flashed me an apologetic grin as he noticed that my gaze was focused on the label. "Would you like some Red Bull with it?"
"No, thank you. I like my whiskey on the rocks." Just like my love life.
Once he was done serving me, he pulled a chair to sit down as well. I could feel his tension rising, and soon enough, he couldn't take it any longer. "If I may ask, Gamma, what brings you here? Have I done something wrong?"
"Quite the opposite." I felt the bitter alcohol burn my throat as I took my first sip. "As you know, I have found my mate and I'll be moving out...soon." I almost choked on my drink. "Which means I'll have to step down as Gamma, and someone else must take my place. Duty is calling you, Charles."
His eyes widened as silence filled the small home. This certainly came as a surprise for him, not only because he was physically impaired, but because he didn't get along well with our new Alpha in the beginning. Our Luna let it slip that he had pretty much defied Lance's leadership just a few days after he took over. However, he had been making an effort to fix his mistake ever since then. He had not only become very loyal, but it was also impossible not to notice how he stood out when it came to analytical thinking. "Lucky for you, Gammas do not have to be among the best warriors," I went on, since he remained speechless. "We believe you have the right skill set, and with proper training, you'll make a fine third-in-command."
"I...I'm honored, Gamma Jasper." Charles lifted his head, determination in his brown eyes as he was clearly filled with both pride and sense of duty. "When does my training start?"
"Right now." Once again, astonishment flashed in his expression, but he shook it off very well.
During the next couple of hours, I explained to him what our schedule would be like. He was supposed to follow me around daily to gain familiarity with a Gamma's tasks, take part in every ranked-member meeting, and study at night. As a start, I assigned him two books to read - the same ones that had been given to me when my world was turned upside down after the former Gamma stepped down. I glanced at him one last time before I left the house; noticing how focused he was as he flipped through the pages of the heavy books, I already knew he would become an amazing third-in-command. Possibly even better than me.
And once my work day was over, it was time to face the music.
Thankfully, I was a lot calmer as I headed back to my room. If anything, I had learned to formulate plans quickly during my short time as Gamma. By the time I made it to the third floor, I had made sure everything was in order for my date night to be perfect. Okay, maybe not perfect, but hopefully not a disaster either. My mind stopped racing as soon as I pushed through the door, the intoxicating scent ridding me of my troubles from inside out. I lost all the air as I caught sight of my lynx - dressed only in a soft white towel. "Oh, you're here." She stated casually, her eyes darting towards me for a brief second before she turned her attention back to the closet full of dresses. I looked away from her immediately, knowing I would lose control if I stared at her half-naked figure any longer. "I've showered already, but I'm at a loss as to what to wear since you didn't tell me where we're going."
"Pick something fancy," was all I said as I rushed into the bathroom. I could feel her smile, and it was the confirmation I needed to know she liked my idea.
Getting rid of my clothes, I quickly stepped into the cold water. One look at her was all it took to make me hard and get my blood rushing; I needed to cool down if I wanted to make it through the night. It sounded simple, but it proved to be a hard task as I couldn't help but imagine what dress she would pick. Would it be something as tight and revealing as the dress she was given on her first night here? I couldn't help but remember the way her breasts stood to attention, and her curves... Damn it, Jasper! I cursed myself. Don't think about big boobs! Think about your non-existent naked grandma! Yeah, that usually did the trick.
Another awfully long icy-cold shower later, my nerves finally seemed to have calmed down. In my rush, I had forgotten to bring a change of clothes inside with me, but after hesitating for a while, I decided to come out with only a towel wrapped tightly around my waist; using my werewolf speed, I could get my outfit and come back in to get dressed in the blink of an eye. However, my smart plan went up in flames the second I walked out of the bathroom. Instead of running like I had intended to, I stood frozen in my spot as my eyes landed on something I surely wasn't expecting to see.
Andromeda was at the exact same spot she had been in before, except now her towel was gone.
Naked. She was completely naked.
My mind went blank as Phoenix pushed closer to the surface. It took all of my strength to prevent him from fully taking over, but he still managed to get just enough control to leisurely explore our mate's body with our eyes. Rooted to the floor, a safe ten feet away from her, I analyzed every detail of her perfectly sculpted frame. The clothes she usually wore left little to my imagination. She was even more mesmerizing than my mind had dreamt of. "Nothing like you've ever seen before, right?" Her velvety voice echoed through the room, making my legs weak.
I fought to remain still in my spot, yet I couldn't run away when she slowly inched closer to me. Thankfully, I somehow managed to turn around, my heart threatening to beat out of my chest. Breathe in, breathe out, I repeated to myself in an attempt to relax as I closed my eyes. But before I could even try to do so, a pair of hands snaking around me from behind made a loud gasp escape my throat.
"Come on, now. You don't have to be shy. I'm yours to look at," she whispered into my ear as her sharp nails traced a line down my chest and stomach. My hard erection was already pressing against the thin towel, eager to spring free. Breathe. Breathe. Breathe. "Yours to touch. Aren't you curious to know what my body feels like...mate?" Her hands grabbed the hem of the cotton fabric, but before she could reach between my legs, I finally acted.
Fear is the most powerful motivator, they say, and as I realized I was about to be pounced on by a hungry predator, I firmly wrapped my fingers around Andromeda's wrist to prevent her from going any further. In a swift movement, I grabbed the sheets over the bed and tossed them in her direction, wrapping it around her body. I knew she was scrunching her brows in frustration, but I still didn't have the courage to look at her.
"We'll miss our reservation if we don't leave soon," I blurted out. I'm sure she rolled her eyes as she walked away from me, reluctantly grabbing the dress she had picked out. Of course, I didn't miss the chance to go back into the bathroom, where I could safely finish getting dressed.
Learning from my mistake, I covered my eyes with one hand as I walked into the room again, carefully checking to see if I would have any more surprises. In a way, I did; Andromeda looked breathtaking in a simple, but fancy slim-fit satin forest green dress with spaghetti straps and a high slit that left her long, thick thighs on display. She was around the same height as me, but her silver high heels made her a good five inches taller.
"You look stunning, my princess," I told her sincerely.
"I always do," she bit back, her crossed arms evincing that she was still frustrated. However, she unfolded them as she looked me up and down, sighing in defeat. "You don't look too bad yourself."
I instinctively glanced down at my outfit. I had chosen a wine red shirt with a black suit jacket and trousers. Straightening my black tie to make sure I looked as presentable as I could, I made my way towards my mate and delicately took her hand in mine. I planted a soft kiss on the back of it before leading her outside. As soon as we reached the garage, she started looking around.
"Where's the driver?"
I headed towards the passenger door of the satin platinum Mercedes S63, bowing and waving my hand in a circular motion as I opened it for her. "I will be your driver tonight, Miss Charlemagne," I said playfully. She raised an eyebrow at me as she hesitantly took her seat. "You said you would like more privacy, and honestly, I couldn't agree more. So, it'll be just the two of us tonight."
"Good call, wolfy." She smiled, clearly satisfied. "Is this your car?"
"No, it's Lance's," I confessed as I got into the driver's seat and started the engine. "He barely uses it though, so I'm usually the one who takes this beauty for a spin. I guess you could say it's mine."
"I see. And will you finally tell me where we're going?"
"I thought you wanted it to be a surprise?"
"I can change my mind rather quickly," she teased, and I couldn't help but smile.
"We're going downtown." At first, I wanted to prepare a casual, special dinner on our territory, much like the one my Alpha had planned for his Luna for their first date, back when they were both still just Omegas. However, I quickly scratched that idea when I remembered Wade would likely be spying on us if we stayed.
Despite my nervousness, I made an effort to get an enjoyable conversation going throughout our ride. I was eager to know more about her, and I was slowly feeling more comfortable to share more about myself. With everything going on, we hadn't really had a lot of time to sit down and talk. As sad as it was, we were still strangers to each other, but I was adamant to change that tonight.
I parked the car right outside the restaurant, and together we headed to our table. Once we were seated, she took charge and picked out a starter, as well as her main dish. Judging by her choices - fresh salmon carpaccio and poached cod with potatoes - I assumed she was mostly into fish, which was funny considering she was...well, a cat. While we waited to be served, we kept on talking, and I was fascinated by every new little detail I learned about her. The more I got to know her, the more I realized how different we were, yet for the first time, I could actually see us working as a couple. We were like fire and rain, but despite our different personalities, we balanced each other out.
As time went by, I found myself relaxing at the same pace as her frustration seemed to wash away. I was aware of how badly she wanted me to take her, and I knew I was definitely not ready for that yet; but just for the night, we both forgot our own desires as we found satisfaction in simply enjoying each other's company. Maybe I wasn't so bad at this date thing after all.
After our meal, Andromeda didn't seem willing to go back home yet, and seeing how we had never been more in sync before, I wasn't ready to call it a night either. I decided to take her on a walk at Stanley Park underneath the stars, since it sounded quite romantic. At some point, we ended up sitting at one of the wooden benches to just take in the view.
"Thank you for tonight, Jasper." Her sincerity took me by surprise, and when her shining diamond eyes locked on mine, I lost my breath. "It was lovely."
"I'm glad I was able to get one thing right," I said jokingly, trying to mask the way her words warmed my heart. However, it was impossible to hide my feelings when she lifted her hand up to my face, cupping my cheeks.
"You undervalue yourself too much..." I fought the urge to lean into her touch as I got lost in her eyes. "But I don't think you're as bad as you pretend to be. You're my mate, after all."
"Still trying to figure that out as well." I half-laughed.
She shook her head. "Is it a Gamma thing to overthink everything? You should just let things happen sometimes."
My lips parted to argue with her, but her hypnotizing gaze made me lose my words. She was so beautiful, I don't think I would ever get used to it. Her mouth was inches away from mine, our breaths synchronized as our hearts beat in the same rhythm, but for the first time, there was no s****l tension between us. There was only this warm, fuzzy feeling... What was it?
"Just stop thinking and f*****g kiss her, you i***t!" It was taking Phoenix long enough to show up. "Do yourself a favor and prove you have more self-control than a horny dog!"
I hesitated for a bit, but decided to listen to both of them for once, just to see what would happen. With my hands shaking, I inched closer to my princess, slowly closing the distance between us. And as soon as our lips touched, the fireworks went off.
She tasted as heavenly as always, but our kiss was different than the ones we had shared before. It wasn't rushed or lustful; it was calm and...passionate? As my tongue explored her mouth, I actually allowed myself to let go of my control just a little bit to enjoy our special magical moment and really take her in. At that second, I finally started to believe that this thing could work. Still, one question didn't seem to leave my mind.
How much longer could I really resist her?
