My Mate Is An Omega -
My Mate Is A Virgin Chapter 17
Jasper POV
"A double date." I scoffed, fighting the urge to roll my eyes as I stared at my reflection in the full length mirror. "Definitely an event I never pictured myself attending."
Despite my loud complaints, I continued to tie the black bowtie in a semi-butterfly style around my neck. It complemented the dark trousers and the fancy burgundy satin button-up shirt I had picked. Why did ranked members enjoy dressing extravagantly anyway? We weren't even leaving the territory. "Why are you so sour, my prince? It's gonna be fun." Andromeda chuckled. She was clearly amused by my unamusement.
I could see Andromeda approaching me from behind by her reflection in the mirror. She had her golden hair styled in her usual updo with loose curls, leaving her neck seductively exposed. Apparently, she had decided to match my outfit, as she had decided to wear a very elegant long wine red mulberry silk dress. The best part of this night would definitely be getting to admire how her tight clothes highlighted her delicious curves.
"As long as you're there, I guess it won't be that bad." I smiled as I quickly did a full one-eighty, stopping right in front of her.
My hands snaked around her waist, tightly pulling her closer to me so her lips could crash against mine. She didn't fight me; instead, she threw her arms around my neck, her fingers tangling in my hair as she deepened our kiss. A groan echoed in my throat as I got lost in her taste. f**k. If I didn't control myself, I wouldn't last the whole night.
I pulled away as I ran out of breath, taking a second to recompose myself. When I opened my eyes again, the sight of her beautiful smile inches away from my face made my heart melt. Noticing the mess I had made, I brought my thumb up to her lips to clean the lipstick I had not-so-accidentally smeared. Once I was done, I realized she was staring at me with hungry eyes, her slit pupils leading me to believe Genevra was ready to eat me alive.
I cleared my throat, trying to keep calm. "Are you ready, my princess?"
"Whenever you are." She smiled.
I tossed my black suit jacket over my shoulder before reaching out for her hand. As we walked out of the Gamma suite, I mindlinked Lance to let him know we were already heading downstairs. In less than a second, he replied saying they would meet us by the entrance. We didn't have to wait long for the Alpha couple to show up.
"You two look great," Caitlyn complimented as soon as her eyes landed on us.
"Likewise," my mate replied promptly. "I'm really excited for our night together. I've never been invited to a picnic before."
Although it was a winter night, my two friends suggested we have a picnic outside, underneath the light of the moon. It wasn't a half-bad idea though; since it had been sunny for the past few days, the remnants of the most recent snowfall had already melted. It was still cold outside, but we could comfortably lay a blanket over the grass and enjoy a nice hot meal.
"Really? Lance and I organize them all the time." She turned to her mate, who had hearts in his eyes as he stared at his Luna. "It will be our first time having a moonlit picnic though."
"A moonlit picnic," I repeated, scoffing. "Is this what you're calling it?"
"I like it." Andromeda shrugged. "Makes it sound more mythical."
"Thank you, Andromeda." She smiled before glaring at me, and I immediately heard my lynx chuckling at her reaction.
Great. It seemed the two of them would be teaming up against me tonight.
"Shall we go?" Lance gestured towards the open door, and we all nodded.
The four of us stopped by the kitchen to grab the picnic baskets containing the stuff we would need before we headed to the location we had previously chosen for our date, while Caitlyn explained a little bit about our surprising past to my mate. I had already told her about how our team of underdogs - well, except for Luke, who had been born with Beta blood - had ascended to the highest-ranking positions of Diamond Tempest. I hadn't gone into so much detail though.
Once we arrived at the hot stream, we laid the classic checkered blanket right next to the water. The night was undeniably beautiful. In the clearing, there weren't any trees to block the full moon. It illuminated the darkness around us almost as effectively as the sun. The way it reflected on the clear water was also quite a sight to see.
It didn't take us long to set everything up. We had decided to go for cheese and chocolate fondue, which was certainly not very traditional for a picnic, but it fit the colder weather quite well. I also didn't think lighting a pan on fire over a piece of fabric was the best idea... Oh well, at least we were near water.
Thankfully, we managed to enjoy our fancy dinner without any inconveniences. In fact, I was actually having fun with the whole 'double date' thing. It was still a little cliché, but as the night went by, I started seeing the appeal. I also hadn't been able to spend as much time with my friends aside from work lately, so it was a perfect opportunity for us to hang out together.
But most importantly, I was happy to see Dree getting along with the only family I had.
"How about we play two truths and a lie?" Caitlyn suggested as soon as we were done eating.
"Oh, that could be dangerous," I pointed out, smirking.
"I know. But Megan isn't here tonight, so we should be fine," she joked. "Who wants to start?"
"I do!" my mate promptly volunteered, catching me by surprise. She winked at me before turning to the rest of our group again. "Alright, here it goes. A, I used to sleepwalk when I was younger, and one time I woke the entire clan by knocking over a bunch of furniture as I tried to catch a mouse. B, I've never eaten a banana before. C, I once watched a throuple in a threesome."
"Damn, what a start." Lance widened his eyes in surprise. "I'm going with C. That sounds wild."
"I'm hoping it's C," I agreed, arching an eyebrow at my mate. She just shrugged and flashed a sassy smile at me.
"Hmm... I'm going with A," Caitlyn guessed after giving it some thought. "It sounds too stereotypical."
After everyone laid out their bets, Andromeda remained silent for a while longer, obviously enjoying the suspense she was creating. She switched her gaze between the three of us a few times before finally opening her mouth. "Caitlyn guessed it right," she finally revealed.
"You've never had a banana?!" Lance yelled in shock. How could he even focus on that?
"I think it's disgusting how they get bruises," my mate clarified with a grimace.
"Hold on. So you have watched a threesome? Live?!" I couldn't mask my disbelief. "Should I be worried?" I whispered the last part, half-joking. How come my virgin mate had never taken s****l interest in a guy, yet she had done...this?
"I doubt it." She chuckled. "It was three girls. They invited me to join them, but I didn't feel like it was my cup of tea. They said I could watch though, and I thought why not?" By now, the three of us had our jaws on the floor. "Like I've mentioned before, cats are very s****l creatures." And yet, she remained pure... Why?
"Okay, my turn!" The Luna changed the subject before I could dwell on my thoughts any longer.
I thought I already knew about most of their secrets, yet as we kept playing, I was surprised to learn that I didn't. Apparently, Lance had kept a pet rat for a year while we were growing up without neither me nor Luke ever noticing, and Caitlyn had a lot more to share about her life in her old pack than she ever told us. I was certainly having fun listening to their confessions, until it was my turn.
I had always been good at lying - it was the truth part that made me nervous. Ever since I found the strength to pour my heart out to Dree, I had been slowly letting go of the mask I used to wear daily, but the thought of openly sharing truths about myself still made my stomach turn.
Noticing my discomfort, my mate squeezed my hand reassuringly. With a single look, she made me realize I was conferring a lot more importance to this than I should. It was just a game, after all. Once I understood that, I could finally move on. And seeing how none of my friends judged me, I was eventually able to let it go.
What seemed like a silly game proved to be a nice way for us all to bond. Aside from helping Andromeda replace out more about my friends and vice versa, it was also offering me a good opportunity to learn more about her. It soon dawned on me that that must have been the Luna's intention all along. I couldn't help but smile at her smarts; knowing her, I should have been able to tell it was one of her strategies.
An hour went by in the blink of an eye, and soon enough, we were out of secrets to tell. The silence between us wasn't the least awkward though. In fact, it was welcomed. I held Dree in my arms, and together we stared at the stars, simply enjoying each other's presence. What seemed like a futile excuse for a meeting with friends at first had turned out to be our best date yet - at least in my opinion. Maybe I could learn a thing or two from these lovebirds.
However, our peace and quiet was suddenly disturbed by the sound of something heavy diving into the water.
I lifted myself abruptly to replace Lance inside of the hot stream. He offered his hand to his pregnant Luna, who was now only wearing a bikini, to help her into the water before he turned to me with a playful smile.
"Are you coming or not?"
"There's no way I'm jumping in with the two of you half-naked!" I yelled jokingly.
"Suit yourself!" The Alpha shrugged, focusing on his mate again soon after.
As soon as I turned back to look at Dree, I realized she was no longer by my side. Instead, she was standing in front of me. "Hey, where are you going?"
"Well, I'm going for a swim. We don't have a hot stream back at Snow Pelt. I'm not missing this opportunity." When she glanced at me over her shoulders, I froze as I noticed her slit pupils glistening. "But feel free to lay there and watch..."
The way she winked at me made me swallow dry, but I didn't understand the double meaning in her words until she moved her hands up to the thin straps of her dress. Her exquisite diamond eyes never left mine as she slowly slid one of the straps off her shoulder, followed by the next. She held the piece of fabric over her chest to prevent it from falling, and with all of the patience in the world, she calmly slid it down, allowing me to leisurely take in every new inch of her skin.
Goddess. She was stripteasing for me!
Phoenix purred in delight inside my head as we watched her lower her dress to the ground. The short hairs on her body bristled with the chilly night wind as she stood a few feet away from me wearing only her underwear. I should be worried about her carefreely exposing herself in front of my friends, but for some reason, that fact only further excited me. A low hiss soon escaped her lips, and when I followed her gaze, I realized my erection was standing to attention underneath my trousers. At this point, I didn't even care. Satisfied, Andromeda flashed me another wink before heading inside the hot stream. I instinctively found myself standing up, giving into my wolf's desires. In a quick movement, I got rid of all of my clothes and followed right after her. There was a fire burning inside of me, keeping me warm even in the cold. When my skin made contact with the hot water, it only added to the heat rushing through me.
For the first time, I felt like I was the predator as I swam towards her, fast like a shark. She kept backing away slowly, forcing me to wrap her in my arms to keep her close. I went straight for her neck, alternating between kissing and sucking on her skin as I tightened our embrace, enjoying the way her full breasts pressed against my chest.
I was this close to losing control.
"Change your mind?" An annoyed growl left my mouth as Lance's voice distracted me.
I had to blink a few times to collect myself before glancing at him.
"He just needed the right incentive," my mate replied, as I was apparently at a loss for words. It didn't matter though; the last thing I wanted to do right now was talk.
***
It was past one in the morning when we got back to our room. Since we both had to wake up early for our training session the next morning, we headed straight to bed to get as much sleep as we could. I wasn't worried though. After our amazing date, I was sure I would sleep like a baby.
Or at least I thought so.
I woke up in the middle of the night feeling an uneasiness caused by a weird burning sensation in my lower abdomen. At first, I tried to ignore it and go back to sleep, but as the seconds went by, it only got worse. Then, I started feeling insanely hot, and not in a good way. I finally decided to sit up and pull the blanket off me, but to my surprise, it didn't help at all.
It didn't take long before I was soaking in sweat. The feeling was so intense my skin started itching. It felt like I was being set on fire from the inside out. In a matter of seconds, my mild discomfort turned into unbearable pain. That's when I started to worry. What the hell was happening to me?!
