Chapter 1610 A Good Deed

Iris nodded and wiped her tears. Then, with a sob, she stood up.

As she left, she would pass by the room where Amanda was being held.

Iris glanced inside, and Amanda also looked back at her, her eyes filled with bitterness and fear.

Iris took just one look, wiped away her tears, straightened her usually hunched back, and marched briskly forward.

After all the performances were over, the family gathered together. Aron had reserved them a spot at a private diner. It was because Evie had been craving its dishes and couldn't sleep the previous night due to hunger.

The group of people got into their respective cars and headed to their destination.

Athena checked the message Ethan had sent her earlier.

Athena frowned involuntarily when she saw how Amanda had almost strangled Iris.

Byron looked at her, and Athena handed over her phone.

She then pulled Mia, who had been chattering away with Aiden, close, hugging her tightly.

"What's wrong, Mommy?" Mia looked confused.

"It's nothing. My daughter is so adorable, so I wanted to hug her."

Mia grinned, then hugged Athena's neck and planted a kiss on her forehead. "I'm growing up, and you're getting smaller. Now you're asking me for hugs!" The sorrow in Athena's heart immediately dissipated.

She smiled and nodded. "You got that right..."

Byron finished reading the messages and found it all very absurd.

He had two children of his own. He would feel nervous even if they just scraped themselves, so he would never treat them like Amanda did Iris.

Upon reaching the private manor where the private diner was located, Mia immediately ran to her godmother and Rose.

Judging from her expression, she must be telling them that Athena had asked for a hug.

"Mommy, what happened?" Aiden asked.

"That girl from your sister's class almost got strangled today when she went to see her mom," Athena said, annoyed.

"Do you mean Iris?" Aiden frowned.

"Yes." Athena nodded.

The matter involving Iris had stirred up quite a commotion.

Donny had even told Aiden about it.

According to outside rumors, Iris and Mia were competing for the position of lead singer. When Iris couldn't win, she complained to her parents, who then came to the school and made a scene.

"If that's the case, then she should just ditch her mother, right?" Aiden's thoughts were quite simple.

"Yeah." Athena patted Aiden's head. "Go keep an eye on your little sister. Don't run around and trip."

"Okay." Aiden moved slowly ahead.

At the same time, Athena looked at Byron.

"Let's do this according to plan. Have Iris' teacher tell her that there's an opportunity to study abroad and encourage her to go," Byron said.

Ever since Byron made up his mind to help Iris, he had decided that no matter the reason, Iris couldn't continue going to school with Mia.

Incidentally, sending her abroad to study seemed like the best option to help Iris escape her family.

They just needed to replace a reliable foster family there.

"Whether she's willing to go abroad is up to her." Athena patted Byron's hand. "Let's not think about that for now. This diner serves such delicious food. You brought me here first, and then I brought Evie. She fell in love with it after just eating here once."

To Athena's knowledge, Byron seemed to understand her fondness for good food.

While he wasn't a person of many desires, he enjoyed taking her to different restaurants when he was in a good mood. It was almost as if he'd done some research beforehand because the food was always pretty good.

"I never knew that counts as a good deed," Byron teased himself.

"Of course," Athena replied with a smile.
