Chapter 1650 Cutting Ties With the Past!

"Gideon..."

Athena looked at him with concern, sensing that something was off.

"I'm fine, and I just want to go home." Gideon shook his head, waving his hand dismissively.

He longed for the home he shared with Sally.

Maybe everything happening right now was just a dream.

Once he returned and slept well, he and Sally would return to their teenage selves, and he could protect her wholeheartedly. He'd propose to her earlier than before, and they'd have an even grander wedding.

Sally once said she wished to be like Athena and Byron.

First, have a son, then a daughter.

They would be so happy...

Bound together until old age.

"Mike!" Athena called out.

Mike appeared seemingly out of nowhere.

"Follow him. Make sure he doesn't do anything foolish."

"Understood!"

Mike responded and quickly caught up to Gideon.

Unaware or perhaps unbothered by Mike's pursuit, Gideon purchased a ticket for the next flight back to the Mailand.

As he boarded the plane, his phone buzzed with a new notification from Sally's long-un-updated Instagram. Trembling, he opened the message.

With arms wrapped around Elijah, Sally waved to the guests behind them before kissing Elijah passionately. Tears streamed down Gideon's face uncontrollably.

He turned off his phone.

Reassuring himself, he believed that once home, Sally would be there.

Just like before, she would always come back to him.

The party ended late into the night.

But it wasn't the end of Sally's wedding celebration.

There was a banquet scheduled for the guests the next day.

As the guests dispersed, Sally, dressed in a champagne-colored gown, sat in a chair with a bottle of champagne, her cheeks flushed from the alcohol.

Little Mia was exhausted from the day's events.

She was now sound asleep in her father's arms.

"I'll go inform the bride, and then we can head home," Athena said, holding Byron's hand.

Byron nodded in agreement.

Athena approached Sally.

Spotting her, Sally greeted her with a gleaming smile and an extended hand.

Athena smiled, holding her hand, "Having a good time?"

"Absolutely," Sally exclaimed, her head held high. "Today has undoubtedly been the happiest day of my life!"

It was as if she was reborn.

She had severed the ties with her burdensome past!

The weight that had chained her down was now gone.

She felt light and freedom, both in body and spirit.

"Aiden and Mia are tired. I'll take them to the hotel first," Athena said, playfully shaking Sally's hand. "Wishing you a joyful wedding night." Sally blushed instantly.

"I get it, I get it! Off you go! Remember to bring Mia and Aiden for breakfast early tomorrow!"

"Sure."

Seeing Sally blush was a rarity for Athena.

She found it amusing.

After nodding in agreement, she turned and headed toward Byron.

As they left,

Elijah, who had been seeing off the guests, returned.

Athena and Byron waved at him from a distance.

The more Elijah understood Sally's past, the more he appreciated Athena's friendship.

He felt increasingly fond of the couple.

A tipsy Sally sat there, her smile growing wider as she watched Elijah approach.

"All the guests have left?" Once Elijah closed, with a soft voice, Sally asked, "I'm sorry, I drank too much and couldn't help you see them off."
