Chapter 1695 Sanctioning the Whistleblower

"You can talk to her," Elijah said confidently, "But let me remind you, Sally is now very close to Mrs. Crawford and Mrs. Timberlake. Just yesterday, she shared a clarification statement about the rumors your son spread. What do you think they'll do if they replace out who is hurting Sally? Surely, they won't forgive him?"

The line went dead silent.

Elijah almost added, "Do you want to face my revenge alone or the combined revenge of the three of us?" "Elijah, don't push people too far. Even a cornered dog will fight," Sylas said through gritted teeth. Elijah's tone became even colder. "Go ahead and try."

"I don't harm others unless they harm me first." These words have always been Elijah's motto.

But if anyone hurt his loved ones, he would not hesitate to retaliate.

After hanging up, he turned towards the kitchen.

Sally woke up to replace breakfast waiting for her in the room.

After brushing her teeth, she happily ate in front of Elijah.

After breakfast, the couple prepared to say goodbye to Athena and Evie to visit the mentor.

Evie and Sally were reluctant to part.

But Athena pulled Elijah aside.

"About the revelation yesterday, I felt something was off and had it checked." Athena began, sending some information to Elijah. "It turns out it was Noah who did it. Here's the evidence. You decide if you want to tell Sally."

Elijah looked surprised but also touched.

It wasn't just him protecting Sally in this world.

"I found out, too," Elijah replied politely, "Mrs. Crawford, thank you for looking out for Sally."

Athena smiled, "As long as you're by Sally's side, I'm at ease. No one can harm her!"

Elijah nodded with a smile.

"What do you plan to do?" Athena asked curiously.

"He has committed many crimes. Handing over a few severe ones should be enough to get him sentenced for at least a couple of hundred years," Elijah replied.

There was no death penalty in the country where Noah resided.

"Good." Athena nodded.

Back in the living room, Athena separated the inseparable duo. "It's just a few days. Hurry up and leave!"

Sally whined, and so did Evie. Then, she and Elijah left.

Once in the car, Sally asked, "What did Athena talk to you about?"

Elijah, being truthful, replied, "We found out who spread the rumor."

Sally paused, then asked, "Was it Noah?"

Elijah looked at her, stunned. "You investigated, either?"

"No, I just guessed," Sally said, shrugging and looking ahead. "The familiar and annoying tone in those chat screenshots made me think of that jerk right away!" Elijah's eyes darkened.

Just from the text, she could tell it was him. It meant she had encountered his ranting before.

"I found some evidence of his crimes and submitted it without your permission," Elijah added.

Sally nodded. "What crimes? How serious?"

"Very serious. The combined sentence will be at least a couple of hundred years," Elijah answered. Why did he sense a hint of excitement in his honey's voice and expression?
