Chapter 1737 Fair Competition

"Never!" Suzy stated coldly, "The Timberlake family has always advocated for free love between men and women since feudal times. We never had arranged marriages!" Suzy paused for a moment.

She then sneered, "Miss Quinn, you should know yourself better. Compare yourself with Evie. Isn't there a world of difference? Do you think Aron, who once was emotionless like a stone statue, fell head over heels for Evie and married her quickly to make sure she was his?"

Beatrice looked like she turned pale.

For a moment, emptiness filled her eyes. Then Beatrice started to get hysterical. "Evie is much older than Aron! And she had that scandal before! Mrs. Suzy Timberlake, she fooled you! She fooled all of you!" Suzy turned her gaze to Daphne.

Daphne's face showed that she wished she could just disappear into a crack in the ground.

"Your family planned this all along, didn't you? When Emily and Mark got married, how old was Aron? You set your sights on him then?" Suzy looked at Evie. "Evie, you truly are Aron's lucky star. If he hadn't met you, wouldn't he be targeted by this wicked family after graduation?"

Aron didn't utter a word.

Without Evie, Aron would have probably died last summer.

Would there have been a chance for these despicable people to target him?

"Suzy, why are you speaking so harshly? My daughter just likes Aron. Didn't you have crushes when you were young?"

"Of course I did!" Suzy replied with sincerity, "But even if I liked someone if they got married, I'd move on. Unlike your daughter, who is ashamed and acts disgracefully before another's wife." Suzy paused.

It seemed like she remembered something.

Realizing something, she exclaimed, "It makes sense now! When the beam is crooked, the joist will be awry. Given your devious nature, it's no surprise you raised such a daughter." Daphne felt as if she could grind her teeth to dust.

Roland was so embarrassed by Beatrice that he wished he could disappear.

"Are you leaving or not?" Roland asked, "If not, I'm leaving!"

He didn't wait for his parents or sister to answer.

He made his exit quickly after dropping that line.

Beatrice was still crying.

Seeing no hope with Suzy, she turned to Aron.

"Aron, give me one chance. Let me compete fairly with Evie, okay? I'll be good and do everything better than her! I haven't been dating any man yet..." "Disgusting."

Aron didn't even wait for Beatrice to finish.

The usually courteous and graceful Aron showed a rare look of profound disgust.

After saying that, he added, "Mom, I'll leave the bodyguards here and take Evie home first."

"Okay," Suzy replied, then comforted Evie. "Evie, I'll be there soon. Don't let them affect your mood. I'll take you diamond shopping this afternoon to cheer you up!" "Thank you, Mom."

Evie was about to leave when suddenly...

"Bitch, don't you dare leave!"

Beatrice seemed to have lost her mind.

Before anyone could react, she took off her high heel and threw it at Evie.

The shoe looked like it was about to hit Evie's head.

Suddenly, something flew by, hitting the shoe in mid-air.

The shoe changed its trajectory.

And it hit Daphne right on the forehead.

"Evie!"

Then, Mia's anxious voice was heard.
