My Mommy Became A Billionaire After the Breakup -
Chapter 1741
Chapter 1741 Mouth Full of Dog Food
Athena hesitated for a moment, asking with a wry smile, "Do you really want to learn?"
"Yeah, it's so cool!" Sally nodded seriously.
Just as they were talking, Elijah and Byron, accompanied by Aiden, arrived.
"Elijah!"
"Dad!"
Mia left her mother's embrace and rushed towards her father, hugging him tightly.
She tearfully recounted the incident where someone had tried to attack Evie.
"Frightened?" Byron crouched down, gently patting Mia's back.
The little girl choked and nodded. "Luckily, Paul was there. I'm too short and I couldn't stop that high heel at all!"
This remark elicited suppressed laughter from the adults present.
Shortly after, Elijah checked Evie's pulse and said, "You're fine."
"Should I check my husband's pulse again? I think he's more frightened!" Evie held Aron's hand and playfully teased him to help him relax a bit.
Elijah looked at Aron, who helplessly smiled and said, "As long as you're fine, I won't be scared."
He had calmed down, but now it was someone else's turn to be scared.
Byron led Mia to Athena's side, and the family of four squeezed onto the double sofa.
"What about Herbert?" Athena gently asked Byron.
"He hasn't recovered yet and he went back to sleep." Byron replied, "Don't let him go diving again. There's all sorts of stuff in his hair."
Athena laughed.
At that moment, her phone vibrated twice.
It was Logan who sent a message.
[Done.]
Athena replied with an "Okay" and then transferred thirty dollars for lunch money.
She also messaged Evie: [Logan deleted everything from Samuel's phone that shouldn't be there.]
Evie received the message and looked at Athena with gratitude.
She hadn't even had time to address this matter, and Logan had already taken care of it for her.
Not long after Emily returned, she heard about the incident where Beatrice attacked Evie.
Without even fully comforting Mark, she immediately came to replace Evie.
Coincidentally, she met Evie and Aron halfway.
"Why are you running out in this scorching sun?" Emily scolded.
"To replace you," Evie said with a smile.
"Are you okay?" Emily looked her up and down.
"I'm fine!" Evie waved her hand. "My goddaughter and her little boyfriend knocked my attacker's shoes off, and the shoes flew onto Daphne's head. It was quite dramatic!" Aron was helpless and said, "Honey, if Byron heard little boyfriend being mentioned, he wouldn't be able to sleep for three days."
"He's not here. Let's talk quietly!" Evie whispered.
Seeing Evie as lively as ever, Emily felt relieved. "Sorry for causing trouble for both of you."
"There's no need for you to apologize to us!" Evie spoke and touched Aron's cheek. "It's just that our Aron is too good-looking, which naturally attracts attention. It's not your fault!" Aron looked helpless and said, "Yesterday, Mom even suggested that I get plastic surgery to make myself uglier. Should I do that?"
"That's out of the question!" Evie decisively vetoed. "Where would you replace such a thing? If someone likes what's mine, should I destroy it? No way!"
Aron immediately burst into laughter. He understood his wife's way of thinking all too well.
Emily looked at them and shook her head. "Can you two cut it out? I haven't eaten anything today, and you're shoving so much dog food in my mouth!"
