Chapter 1771 Such Despicable Means?

"Gideon, it's not the time to discuss right and wrong," Athena said softly.

Her words were like the last straw that crushed him.

Gideon covered his face with his hands and wept suppressed.

He was like a split-personality patient now.

Just a second ago, he told himself he had to accept that Sally didn't love him.

The next second, Gideon began to be incomparably manic again. Every second he imagined this was just a nightmare and Sally would return after dreaming. Athena watched Gideon silently.

The little cat locked in the bedroom pushed the door lightly and poked out its tiny head.

The cat saw Gideon crying.

It ran out meowing, hooked its claws on Gideon's trousers, and crawled towards him.

Gideon lowered his hands and looked down at the eager kitten.

He reached out and grabbed it down. "Hungry?"

The cat meowed.

Gideon remained silent and poured the kitten a small pot of cat food.

Then he squatted in front of the cat bowl, hugged his knees with his hands, and watched the kitten eating cat food without saying a word.

Athena saw this.

She simply ignored him.

And she took out the computer and continued to deal with some work matters.

Gideon didn't drive her away either. But he ignored her and watched the cat until it ate full.

Then Gideon played with the little fur ball and the cat teasing stick with the kitten again.

At ten o'clock.

Athena's cell phone rang.

She glanced at it and picked it up.

"Athena, what's the situation?" Fred's voice sounded highly anxious.

Athena glanced at Gideon. "Fred asked you to have lunch together. Local food or exotic food?"

Gideon didn't answer.

Athena paused for a second, then said to Fred, "Beefsteak. I'll send you the address. Don't bring anyone else. Otherwise, I'll turn hostile."

"Sure! It's up to you!" Fred promised.

The phone hung up.

Gideon finally spoke.

"I didn't say I will go to dinner with you."

"That can't be helped. I've already agreed. If you don't go later, I'll say you are a coward and afraid of being scolded," Athena didn't even raise her head, "After returning to Northern Canakey, I'll tell Sally. Don't worry. I will definitely add the trimmings to say it in a way that Sally doesn't like."

"Athena!"

Gideon scolded angrily.

After Athena checked a piece of data, she looked up at Gideon, "Are you angry? Do you want to add me to the retaliation list?"

Gideon's face turned pale, and his eyes were red with anger.

The chest also rose and fell violently.

"Depart on time at eleven o'clock. You have one hour to think about and sort out your image." Athena said.

"Do you treat Mia and Aiden like this at home?" Gideon gritted his teeth, "With such despicable means?"

"Don't compare my son and daughter with you. They are more sensible than you," Athena clicked her tongue, "Can you go back to work as soon as possible? Come and check. The data reported from the base is full of mistakes!"

Gideon was too angry to say.

The teeth were about to be crushed.

Ignoring what Athena said, Gideon turned around and went back to the bedroom.

He wanted to slam the door.

But...

Because Sally loved this trick when she was angry.

When decorating this house, Gideon deliberately avoided the possibility of violent collisions and noises in the choice of doors and matching hardware.

When the door closed quietly.

Gideon stood where he was and suddenly froze.

He remembered the last time Sally tried to slam the door when she came here.
