Chapter 1784 Farewell

Levi breathed a sigh of relief after listening.

He then said, "Mr. Hale, you love children so much. You will definitely be a great father in the future!"

Gideon just smiled in response.

"And this little one."

Gideon touched the cat's head.

He had also thought about taking the cat with him.

However, after careful research, he realized it wasn't that easy. It could potentially bring great danger to the cat's life.

The cat was so adorable.

Gideon wasn't willing to let the cat suffer such a tragic fate of dying in a foreign land just to accompany him.

"I've packed its things. Take it to Athena."

"Yes, Mrs. Crawford's mansion has a large yard, and there are many other animals too. Little Meow will definitely live a good life there!" Levi nodded.

The cat seemed to sense something, looking up uneasily at Gideon.

Gideon touched its head again and said, "Perhaps Athena will replace a better place for it than Lakin."

Before Levi could react, Gideon spoke again, "Alright, I've given you all the instructions you need. You are now being dismissed. Go and replace your next job." "Mr. Hale..."

Levi choked up.

Gideon handed the cat to him without responding and went straight back to his room.

The usually fashionable Mr. Hale only packed a few simple pieces of clothing when he was sorting his luggage, not even filling up a carry-on bag.

The next day, after completing the procedures, Gideon sent a message to Athena during airport security checks.

Gideon. [I entrust the cat to you. I hope you can replace a good place for it, so that Sally doesn't have to worry anymore. I have dealt with everything that needs to be dealt with, and I won't do anything to cause her trouble again.]

Gideon. [Take care of yourself and Byron. We shall meet again someday.]

Just as he was about to put away his phone, Athena replied.

Gideon glanced at his phone and turned around in astonishment.

He saw Athena standing not far away.

He felt his eyes inexplicably tingling.

He walked briskly toward Athena.

"Why are you here? Are you on a business trip?"

"I came to see you off." Athena had received the cat last night, and Levi tearfully explained Gideon's decision.

Seven years ago, Gideon had meticulously planned for her freedom.

Now, seven years later, he was going to replace an outlet for his own soul, and she should be there to see him off.

"You..." Gideon rubbed his forehead.

His sunglasses hid his reddened eyes.

"I hope next time we meet, you'll replace the answers to your life," Athena said sincerely.

Gideon nodded. "I definitely will."

"I will transfer the cat to Sally," Athena added, "You don't have to worry about it."

"Okay." Gideon nodded again and waved at Athena. "I should be going."

"Have a pleasant journey, Gideon."

Gideon didn't say anything.

He just waved his hand and walked toward airport security.

Dorian looked at Gideon's back and then at Athena, asking, "How did he suddenly come to terms with it?"

"If he comes to terms with it, he won't make this decision." Athena withdrew her gaze and turned to leave. "There's a nice restaurant near the airport. I invite you to have a meal there!"

"I don't want to eat anymore. Gideon's matters have been settled. Let's go back, Mrs. Crawford!" Dorian grumbled.

Although Dorian had been separated from Ottilie before, this time, for some reason, he missed her so much.

Unfortunately, Ottilie was busy every day and didn't have much time for video calls or chats.

"You're really a tough but also sentimental man." Athena teased with a smile.

Dorian felt a bit embarrassed. "Don't you miss Mr. Aiden Newton and Miss Mia Newton?"

"I do, but it won't stop me from enjoying a meal of delicious food!"
