Chapter 1810 Why Are You Lost?

Herbert, with Athena's permission, didn't need anyone's help. He carried his own doghouse and headed to Mia's room.

Logan saw it and praised him loudly.

Being encouraged by the compliments, Herbert pranced around even more spiritedly.

Athena followed him, shaking her head and smiled helplessly.

"Mommy, can Herbert really sleep in my room?" Mia had just finished her video call with Rose. She was excited when she heard that Herbert would sleep in her room tonight.

"Of course. He even brought his own doghouse over," Athena replied with a smile.

To ensure that Byron wouldn't feel sad, Mia removed the bandage from her forehead and covered the wound with her bangs.

"Thank you, Mommy!"

Mia jumped into Athena's arms, acting all cute.

Tonight, Mia's room was the liveliest place.

Not only did Herbert sleep there, but Ottilie also joined in.

When Athena came out of Mia's room, she saw Aiden heading back with his pillow in his arms.

"Aiden."

Athena called out.

Aiden stopped and turned to her. "Mommy."

He had promised Bob at Elijah and Sally's wedding that he would help them build a system.

He had been communicating with them all evening.

Now that it was bedtime, he had taken a shower, changed into his pajamas, and carried his pillow to Mia's room.

He didn't intend to be on guard to keep someone away.

He only did so because Mia had never dared to sleep alone whenever she felt terrified.

Aiden wanted to accompany his sister.

However, when he reached the door, he saw Herbert lying happily with his chin resting on the doorstep, lazily wagging his tail. Then, he heard Ottilie talking.

Knowing that his sister didn't need his company anymore, he turned around to go back.

"Are you here to keep Mia company?" Athena bent down and asked Aiden while supporting her knees.

Aiden nodded.

Then, he said, "With Ottilie here, she won't be scared."

"Okay." Athena patted his little head. "Bob sent me a lot of voice messages just now, all praising you!"

Bob wasn't just praising Aiden. He was basically admiring him.

Aiden obediently nodded and then held Athena's hand as they walked back to his room.

Athena stayed with him until he climbed into bed.

"Mommy."

"Yes?" Athena sat down next to him and responded gently.

"Do you think Mia has grown up all of a sudden?" He asked softly.

In the past, Mia was like Aiden's little shadow. Wherever Aiden was, she would follow.

Whenever she got scared or felt wronged, she would always seek comfort from Aiden first.

But since returning to Mailand, she had gradually stopped sticking to Aiden.

Even though they didn't attend the same school, she had made many friends other than her animal companions, and she had become braver. "Yeah," Athena sensed her son's emotions and nodded gently. Her voice grew even softer. "But I also think that you've grown up a lot."

"Really?" Aiden looked at Athena seriously.

"Of course. Before, only Mia and I relied on you. Now, there are more people counting on you. Your dad's engineering team, Bob and his friends, not to mention the buddies you've been with all summer." Athena count on her fingers. "Over the past year, both you and Mia have grown a lot, and I'm happy but also a little sad."

Aiden, who was currently feeling depressed, looked at Athena. "Why are you sad?"
