Chapter 1812 Anything Wrong

Athena was speechless.

She actually forgot about this!

"I've heard that our Aiden helped Elijah's family solve a big problem!" Evie said, her face full of pride, "As the saying goes, we should keep the wealth within the family! Aiden is so capable, so we should keep

him around. Besides, if our own son and daughter get married, we don't have to worry about anything else. We all know each other so well! And they won't bring any weird outsiders back to our family." Evie paused for a moment and looked at her daughter lovingly.

"These days, I've been anxiously thinking about whether my daughter will encounter scoundrels in the future. So, she has to marry Aiden! Nobody else is better than Aiden!"

Aiden had always been emotionally stable since he was a child. His looks were outstanding, not to mention that he combined the best traits of his parents in a harmonious way. Beyond his external attributes, he was incredibly intelligent. At such a young age, without relying on his parents, he had accumulated wealth that some adults could only dream of.

Of course, regardless of his outstanding looks, Aiden had been polite since he was a child. Although he was born into a wealthy family, he had always kept his good manners, even when facing the servants at home.

Aiden was also kind.

Every year, he donated to charity, whether it was for animals or underprivileged children, he helped as much as he could.

Many adults couldn't hold a candle to him.

Most importantly, Pixie's mother-in-law would be Athena. Evie didn't have to worry that her daughter would be bullied or mistreated by her mother-in-law in the future.

Evie had her plan. She was now more determined than ever not to become Aiden's godmother but to become his future mother-in-law.

"Are you planning too far ahead? Pixie is only a few days old!" Athena looked at the baby in her arms with delight. "Besides, whether Pixie will like the quiet and reserved Aiden is still uncertain, right?" Pixie bit her hand and smiled at Athena again.

Her soft and adorable appearance melted Athena's heart.

"It doesn't matter. Let's make a deal now. Whether they'll be together or not when they grow up is another story!" Evie insisted firmly.

"Okay, okay, you're the boss now. I'll listen to you," Athena said as Pixie yawned.

Athena then handed Pixie to the maternity nurse to put her to sleep.

Despite going through a lot during childbirth, Evie had recovered well in the past few days, even looking better than before.

Besides the efforts of the experienced elderly experts, it was also because Aron was there to keep her company day and night.

In Evie's own words, even if she woke up at three or four in the morning and wanted to eat something, Aron would immediately bring it to her.

"Sometimes I thought that if I had to go through all that suffering just to meet Aron, if I had to do it all over again, I would still be willing to endure that suffering," Evie said, her eyes slightly teary, and she looked at Athena sincerely.

Athena stroked her head. "Silly girl, if you have to do it again, you don't need to suffer. Just wait for Aron to grow up."

Evie chuckled. "You're right..."

Athena's expression changed slightly. "By the way, I might not be able to stay with you through the entire postpartum period."

"What's wrong? Is there something going on at the company?"

"It's Byron," Athena furrowed her brow slightly.

"What happened to him?" Evie had seen Byron just the day before yesterday, and he seemed fine. He had even put on some weight and looked healthier than when he returned.

"He's particularly anxious," Athena replied. "There's something else too, but I can't put my finger on it. Have you noticed anything wrong with him?"
