Byron ate breakfast methodically.

Compared to his disheveled appearance yesterday, he looked much more normal today.

He was like a completely different person compared to yesterday.

Athena even had a moment of doubt, wondering if everything that happened yesterday was just a dream she had.

After finishing breakfast, Byron and Athena left.

The park was situated in a secluded area.

When they arrived at the parking lot, Byron leaned on his cane and held Athena's hand as they followed the path the boy had taken them on before, searching for the small gate. Little did they know.

They found the gate.

But...

The original pathway was blocked by numerous wooden planks.

There was even a sign hanging above with bold red letters that read: [No Entry!]

Byron looked at Athena and said, "We can't go in."

Peering through the gaps in the wooden planks, Athena saw that there was enough space to pass through, but they would have to navigate through the thorny vines. It was consistent with what Byron had described.

"You thought it was suitable for the boy to go through the passage, so why did you decide to go in as well?" Athena asked Byron helplessly.

"By the time I realized I was already inside," Byron replied with a smile.

Athena shook her head.

The weather was pleasant today, neither hot nor cold.

Athena glanced around and noticed surveillance cameras nearby.

She quickly averted her gaze, pretending to look casually.

"Since we rarely go out, why don't we try the famous restaurant nearby for lunch?" Athena suggested.

"Okay."

Byron agreed.

His gaze inadvertently returned to the blocked entrance of the pathway.

Could it be that when he and the boy entered last time, they damaged the plants and were discovered, resulting in its closure?

Would that mean he wouldn't be able to sneak into the park to spend the night anymore?

The restaurant was not far from the park.

Athena and Byron casually strolled there.

As they passed by the park gate, they noticed a few people gathered near the security booth.

They were chattering and discussing something.

Athena overheard snippets of the conversation.

They mentioned something about a well-dressed person unexpectedly... and someone instructing the bodyguards to be vigilant during the night shift, carrying stun guns. Most of the people living nearby were local residents.

The restaurant had a simple decor.

The diners were mainly locals as well.

Athena and Byron found a secluded spot in a corner and sat down.

They ordered dishes based on recommendations.

"Did you hear about the incident at the park?"

"Some housewives living nearby were talking about it. It's common knowledge!"

"Did someone really die? I heard the whole bathroom was covered in blood. It was flowing everywhere!"

Several customers were chatting.

Athena felt as if there had been a murder.

She exchanged a glance with Byron.

No wonder the entrance to that pathway was sealed off...

"I don't know, they said it was a young person who went crazy due to work pressure and started self-harming."

"Oh, these young people nowadays, faced with high housing prices, meager wages, and so many mouths to feed at home, how could they not be under immense pressure! They have my sympathy!"
