Chapter 374 Separated From You

Athena answered Alice's call.

Before Alice could speak, Athena said calmly, "She wants to spend more time with Byron. Let her go, and just don't come back too late."

"I see."

Alice hung up the phone and said, "Miss, it's all taken care of."

Mia was filled with excitement.

She got into the car with Byron.

It was worth mentioning that he had installed a child safety seat in the car earlier that day.

Byron instructed the driver to start the car, and he sat in the back seat, engaging in a conversation with Mia.

They discussed Mia's upcoming art exhibition.

"Do you want to have your own art exhibition?" Byron asked.

Mia nodded. "Byron, would you like to come? I can send you an invitation!"

"Of course," Byron replied without hesitation.

Mia excitedly kicked her legs. "I will invite you."

"Thank you," Byron said with a smile.

The driver occasionally glanced back from the front seat, replaceing it quite peculiar. After all, he had been with Byron for over a decade, and this was the first time he had seen him smile so much. It wasn't an exaggeration.

But it was more than the times he had smiled in the past decade.

Especially more than the recent years...

Since Athena passing, Byron had become increasingly serious and rarely smiled.

"Byron, when the time comes, I will introduce my mommy to you!"

Mia declared with determination, not giving up on her mission to match her mother and Byron.

"My mom is the most beautiful person in the world!" Mia proudly exclaimed.

"I can see that. How can a mother not be beautiful when she has such a beautiful daughter like you?" Byron continued to praise her.

"You're right!" Mia nodded.

Accepting his compliment.

Byron smiled helplessly.

The car arrived at the pet hospital.

Mia insisted on getting out of the car by herself, not wanting to be carried by Byron.

Today, the kitten seemed much livelier.

Mia squatted in front of the glass cabinet and greeted the kitten.

The kitten recognized her and crawled toward her.

Mia was moved and saddened.

While wiping away tears, she spoke to the kitten. "Don't worry. I will get you home soon. Take good care of yourself here and listen to Byron's instructions. I will miss you." Byron didn't interrupt Mia.

There was a new nurse who hadn't met Mia before.

And she assumed that Byron was her father.

She said to Byron, "You've raised your daughter so well. You're a caring father."

Byron was stunned.

For some unknown reason, he didn't correct the nurse's assumption.

"Well, she is very kind," he responded.

After leaving the pet hospital, Byron took Mia out for dinner.

She was adorable.

She attracted attention wherever she went.

Byron used to dislike being surrounded by people, but today was different.

He didn't mind at all when people came over to compliment Mia. In fact, he felt a sense of happiness that so many people adored her.

Mia ate slowly.

It was not that the food was bad.

But...

She didn't want to finish it quickly and get separated from Byron so soon.
