Chapter 415 Not Good

It was the second spring after they went to the Hansen family that Evie realized her mother had changed.

Her mother gave her beloved doll to a kid of Brian's relative.

Her father bought her that doll, and she cried the whole night that day.

However, her mother said...

"We are in Mr. Brian Hansen's house, and it's different from our own. You have to be more sensible. Your dad bought you so many dolls. It's not a big deal to give one away. You have to be good." When she went to that relative's house later, she saw that doll again.

Seeing such a pretty doll thrown into a corner in tatters, Evie's heart was broken.

But...

She always remembered her mother's words.

They were living in someone else's home, so she had to be good, sensible, and obedient.

Although she felt horrible, she still did not take that doll away.

Things similar to this happened way too many times in the years to come.

When she was with Caspian, she was most afraid of how her mother would react if she found out about it.

But...

It was all good now.

She no longer had to doubt whether her mother loved her or not.

She never had to worry about her mother giving away something she loved easily to another child anymore.

"Evie Cross!"

Jane yelled, her voice shaking violently.

Evie had already reached the door.

She bit the corner of her lip, and tears kept falling. She stretched out her hand, trying to take her phone and bag.

She did not dare to speak. She was afraid that she might cry out loud if she did.

"You're leaving your mother just because of this?" Jane asked loudly, "Would I have to do this if you could've just been obedient and properly discussed with the adults?" Obedient again...

"Exactly. Kiddo, what's the big deal? We'll compensate your grandma. As long as it's reasonable, we are willing to pay." Jennifer said in a deep voice, "Don't act like we're bullying you! And venting your anger on your own mother? Absurd!"

"That's right. Jane is sick. Any educated person wouldn't argue with a sick person, right?" Again, it was the lady who praised Evie just now.

As soon as she said this, the people of the Murray family all started to talk.

Evie had never faced anything like this.

It was like she was against the world.

For some reason, there was still a hint of hope in her heart, hoping that Caspian would say something to stop them.

However...

Caspian's voice never appeared.

Suddenly, Aron's big and warm hands held her hand tightly.

Then, he stood in front of her.

"Have you said enough?" Aron asked coldly.

The chattering sound immediately faded away.

"Who are you? What's your business here?" Jennifer asked.

At this time, Dahlia said, "That's her boyfriend, I think. He was with her in the hospital yesterday too."

After Dahlia said that, she subconsciously glanced at Caspian.

Caspian frowned in disgust, and his eyes fell on Evie and Aron's tightly holding hands.

Dahlia's eyelids jumped suddenly.

"Mister, you need to be wiser about who you date. It's not a good idea to date a person who has no manners and doesn't even respect their elder!" Probably because of Evie's decisive attitude, the Murray family started to lose their minds.
