Chapter 50 Kidnapping

Athena froze.

If she remembered correctly, the direction on the road sign and the airport were two different directions!

"Baby, I have to deal with a job now. I'll call you back later."

Athena hung up the phone.

Her expression remained calm.

She turned on the phone and searched for the place name on the road sign on the map.

Sure enough, this was not the direction to the airport.

"If there's a service area up ahead, please stop. I need to go to the restroom." Athena said gently.

"There is no service area on this road. Forget it!"

The driver, who had looked innocent and honest before, suddenly seemed fierce.

His expression turned gloomy.

"Then please drive faster and take me to the airport earlier."

Athena said so and immediately lowered her head to edit a distress message, including the car's license plate number, trying to call the police through the text. Unexpectedly, at this time, the driver braked the car suddenly.

Athena subconsciously protected her belly and hit the front seat hard.

The pain made her dizzy, and she almost lost consciousness.

Then the driver got out of the car.

Athena immediately pressed the lock button.

But it was no use.

The door on her side was pulled open.

The next second, her phone was snatched away.

"Call the police?" The driver glanced at the message just sent and smashed her phone to the ground.

Athena trembled in fright.

Nol scream.

She knew she had to be calm in such a crisis.

"Is this about the money?" Athena asked.

The driver looked at her with a sneer.

"Miss Newton, don't you know what you have done? After all

the trouble you've caused others, do you really think you'll get away with it?"

"Did Arlan send you?" Athena asked.

"Yes!" As the driver said that, he suddenly grabbed her hair.

Athena's scalp was numb with pain.

"Bitch! Arlan only took a little money from your company! Those plutocrats spend all their money on women like you, so why can't you give Arlan some? Why did you drive him into such a corner? How wicked you are!"

Athena tried her best to stay calm.

"I think you did this only for money. If you let me go, I can give

you more."

"Damn you!" The driver snorted, "I'm willing to help Arlan

he saved my life! Not everyone can sell their

personality and dignity for money like you!"

The driver's reaction was predictable, and Athena didn't think he could be bought.

The police were hunting Arlan down.

So whoever Arlan could use now must be a trusted confidant.

Now Athena could only hope that the distress message sent to the police had been successfully sent.

Otherwise...

Athena sighed. She felt annoyed for thinking of Byron at such a time.

Otherwise, she would have been a dead body in the

wilderness by the time Byron's sweet wedding took place, and no one would have even known she was dead.

"Arlan must be waiting to see me, right?" Athena pushed the driver away impatiently, got back into the car, and said, "Stop talking nonsense. Just take me to him."

"You..."

Athena fought back her fear.

And she had a look of impatience and indifference.

The driver glanced at her and then smiled contemptuously.

"Miss Newton, many of my friends have heard that you are a beauty, young and pretty. They've been drooling over you for a long time. When you get there, don't be scared by their enthusiasm. And, Miss Newton, make sure you cry loud, or they won't be excited enough!"

As the driver said that, he slammed the door, got into the car with a sneer, and was about to restart the car.
