My Mommy Became A Billionaire After the Breakup -
Chapter 521
Chapter 521 Take Good Care of Yourself
"No!" Athena said, her tone gentle despite the denial.
"Yes..." Byron nodded with difficulty.
He had also hurt his head. Athena was afraid that he might get into another accident.
She quickly stopped him.
"Don't move your head!" she suddenly yelled.
Byron laughed at this.
Even though Byron had woken up, he still needed plenty of rest.
"Are you tired? Want to sleep more?"
Athena gently rubbed his hand with her thumb.
"Stay with me," Byron spoke with difficulty.
Athena nodded. "I will stay with you."
Byron seemed to breathe a sigh of relief.
His hospital bed was big enough.
Athena left a small lamp on and lay down next to him.
Before falling asleep.
Athena reminded him. "Don't sleep too long this time..."
There was more she wanted to say that she would be scared, but she decided not to say it. Byron nodded.
He reached for Athena's hand. Athena complied, intertwining her fingers with his.
Athena had been haunted by nightmares these days.
Sleeping next to Byron, she had her first peaceful night since the explosion.
She slept soundly and, for a long time, undisturbed.
When she woke up naturally, she looked at the clock across the room and was shocked.
"Is it already ten o'clock?"
She sat up abruptly.
She looked next to her instinctively.
Byron wasn't there!
She quickly got off the bed. Although her knee had improved a lot, it still hurt.
Athena stumbled and almost fell.
Just then, the door to the room opened. Byron was sitting in a wheelchair, and both looked surprised at each other.
"What happened?" Byron's voice was still clear but sounded anxious.
"N-Nothing." Athena rubbed her forehead. "Did you go for a check-up?"
"Yes. You were sleeping so soundly. I didn't want to wake you."
"I see." Athena's knee still hurt.
She had gotten off the bed too abruptly.
But she didn't want Byron to worry.
Soon, the nurse helped Byron back onto the bed.
Athena simply sat back down.
"Come here." Byron looked at Athena, noticing something wrong with her face, and reached out his hand to her.
Athena moved closer to him. "What is it?"
"Are you feeling unwell somewhere?" Byron asked.
Athena shook her head. "Just groggy from sleep."
Byron thought for a moment, then said to the nurse, "Bring me Ms. Stella's medical records."
"No!"
Athena quickly stopped him.
The nurse looked at Byron, puzzled.
"Why?" Byron asked Athena.
Athena lowered her gaze. "Because there's nothing wrong. You should take more care of yourself. I'm all better."
"Even if you're better, I need to know where you're hurt!" Byron's voice was hoarse.
Athena sighed.
She waved at the nurse. "Go on with your work."
The nurse had nothing to do. Her job was to take care of Byron.
But she still hastily left.
Byron watched Athena, waiting for her to explain.
Athena pointed at a scratch on her cheek and showed him a scrape on her arm. "Just some minor scrapes."
Byron frowned and nodded.
He didn't say anything, signaling Athena to continue explaining.
"There's also some minor internal bleeding."
Byron frowned.
"I had a check-up yesterday. It's nothing serious!" Athena quickly explained.
"Is there more?" Byron looked worried.
Athena pressed her lips together and pointed at her injured knee. "It's a minor fracture."
"When you got out of bed earlier, did you hit it? Did it hurt?" Byron asked.
