Chapter 16

(Yashira)

I take off up the stairs as fast as I can to Tristan’s room. I turn on the light to see him in the corner of his bed with his knees to his chest. He looked terrified. I run towards him and pick him up. He clings to me like a Koala bear, and I run to Gabriel’s room. I close the door and go into his closet. I make my way to the back like he said. I see a handle and I open it. I go in and close the door behind me. A blue light turns on illuminating the room. It looked like a panic room. There was a bed there, a tv mounted on the wall, a mini fridge, and a rocking chair. Tristan is whimpering so I sat on the rocking chair with him. I rock him on the chair until he fell asleep. I get up and walk to the bed and laid him down. I paced around the room for I don’t know how long but exhaustion was starting to settle in. I have no idea what was going on outside and if Gabriel and his pack were okay. I noticed a dagger by the door. I grabbed it just in case. I laid down next to Tristan placing my arm around him protectively and closed my eyes.

I don’t know how long I had been asleep when suddenly I felt a presence in the room. My heart pounded hard in my chest. I also felt that same electricity from before swirl inside me. I haven’t felt that electricity since I left here. I felt the person move behind me followed by a hand on my shoulder. Thinking that I needed to protect Tristan and myself without thinking about it twice I shot up, turned, and placed the dagger on the person’s throat. When I looked into those breathtaking golden eyes, my eyes widen. I stepped back dropping the knife and feeling the feeling of the electricity swirling inside me slowly leave my body.

“Yashira, your eyes” Gabriel says with wide eyes.

‘I’m so sorry. I didn’t know it was you. I thought someone came in to hurt Tristan or me’ I signed ignoring what he said about my eyes. I looked where I had place the knife to make sure I didn’t hurt him.

“You were willing to kill whomever it was if it meant Tristan was in danger?” he asks.

‘I would die for him’ I signed without thinking about it twice. I saw his eyes widen at that, but it was the truth.

“It’s safe now. Come on” he said. I grabbed Tristan and took him to his room. I kissed his forehead before running my fingertips down his forehead gently. I turn to see Gabriel was watching me. I looked at his torso to see he had claw marks down his side.

‘You’re hurt’ I signed.

“I’ll be fine. I’m already healing” he says but I shake my head. Why are men so hardheaded? I grab his hand and walk to his room.

‘Sit’ I sign and start to look for the first aid kit. When I replace it I walk towards him. I kneel between his legs and open the first aid kit. I grab the alcohol swabs and start to clean his wounds blowing gently on his wounds in case it was stinging. Once I had his wounds clean I realized they weren’t that deep. I grabbed some ointment and put some on his wounds. This whole time I could feel him watching me. When I was done I put everything away.

‘You should rest. You look like you need it’ I signed. I went to leave when he grabbed my hand.

“Stay. Please?” he said making me look at him. Before I knew it I nod my head. For some reason I couldn’t say no to him.

‘Okay’ I signed. I went to go lay on the sofa.

“You can sleep in my bed… with me” I went to the empty side of his bed and took off my shoes. I laid under the covers when I felt his arm wrap around my wait and pulled me towards him pressing my back to his chest. A low rumble left his chest before he buried his nose on the crook of my neck. Soon we both drifted to sleep.

I snuggle closer to my pillow taking in a deep breath of the woodsy smell. I hear a manly chuckle and my eyes snap open. I look to see Gabriel looking down at me and everything from last night came rushing back. I had agreed to stay here with him and now we were tangled up with my head on his chest.

“Good morning beautiful” his husky voice sent a delicious chill all over my body.

‘Morning’ I signed. I went to get up, but Gabrel pulled me back down.

“Stay a little longer” he said burring his face in the crook of my neck.

“Yashira?” he called making me look up at him.

“Your eyes last night… they were another color, or I should say colors” he mumble the last five words.

‘What do you mean?’ I signed.

“Your eyes were a variety of colors actually. They were light blue, silver, pink and black” he said.

‘Really?’ I sign and he nods.

“Yes. Did something happen to you before?” he asks me.

‘Before I met you something did happen, but to be honest… I don’t understand it’ I sign truthfully.

“Tell me what happened. Maybe I can help” he tells me. I began to tell him what happened until when everything went black.

‘When I woke up again I was in my room. I thought maybe I had hallucinated or dreamed the whole thing’ I sign.

“I don’t think you dreamed or hallucinated anything. Jake, Sara, and Jeffrey found you in the woods and a few feet away from you was a dead rogue. I think I can replace someone who might be able to help you” he says. I nodded my head. So this thing that Ana said about me accepting her powers must have been real. Was this what I have been feeling? Can I do this? What if I’m not cut out for this?

“Don’t worry, you are not alone in this. We will figure this out” Gabriel assures me. For some reason I believed everything he was said. I nod my head again and a comfortable silence settle between us. We stayed like this for about another hour. I then got up and went to the bathroom to do my morning routine and brushed my teeth with a toothbrush Gabriel gave me. After taking a shower I walked out of the room with a towel wrapped around me just as Gabriel walked in with a tray full of French toast, bacon, eggs, and orange juice.

‘Can I borrow some clothes?’ I signed as his eyes darken while taking my body in. He places the tray on the table and walks towards me like I’m his prey. A growl left his lips that I felt travel all the way to my core. My p***y clenched and I watched as Gabriel sniffed the air.

“You smell divine” he growled smashing his lips on mine. I k**s him back wrapping my arms around his neck. Gabriel undid my towel letting it fall around me. He walks me back to the bathroom without breaking the k**s and lifts me up placing me on the counter. His head dipped down and caught one of my pierced n*****s in his mouth. He sucked as his tongue circled and twisted the metal piercing. Glorious pain sparked, my breathing picked up and I was panting. I threw my head back with my mouth slightly open as he went back and forth between both n*****s.

He left my n*****s drops to his knees. My legs were flung over his shoulders, his face situated between my legs. His tongue ran over my p***y lips, I was wet already. His tongue continued to devour me, slowly at first then his tongue slipped beneath my folds. He sucked hard and slowly on my clit, the sensation was overwhelming.

His fingers dug into my skin as his speed picked up. I looked over my shoulder to see the pure look of l**t staring back at me. So f*****g sexy!! When he finished we got out and he dried me then dried himself. We walked out to the room and Gabriel hands me some clothes. I see it some black boxer briefs, grey sweatpants, and a white t-shirt that came down to my mid thighs.

“Come lets have breakfast” he tugged me to the table. I noticed everything was still hot.

‘It’s still hot’ I signed gesturing to the food.

“I had Sara warm it up for us” he smirks as my cheeks heat up. Sara came in here while we were having s*x in the bathroom.

“I saw that you brought your motorcycle. It’s very nice” Gabriel says.

‘Thank you. I hadn’t ridden it in a while, so I decided it to ride it here, but I was thinking about selling it’ I signed.

“Are you sure? It’s nice” Gabriel said.

‘Yes. Grandma worries when I go out on the bike, plus the weather is changing and I don’t want to drive the motorcycle in the cold’ I sign. He nods in understanding.

“Do you have anyone in mind you want to sell it to?” he asks.

‘No, I was going to ask Jeffrey for help. Do you know anyone?’ I asked.

“No, but I’ll ask around the pack” he replies. I nod and finish up my food. I sigh feeling full. I look at Gabriel to see him already looking at me. I smile shyly before looking out the window.

“Yashira” I heard Gabriel call and I turn my head to look at him.

“I wanted to apologize for the things I said to you before about me not having a mate like you because you’re human. I didn’t mean it” he says, and the look of regret crosses his face.

‘It’s okay. I understand why you said it. I mean you’re a werewolf and I’m just a human. A mute one at that’ I signed.

“A beautiful human. A human with a very big heart, sweet, funny, and you care about others. There’s so much about you that I can’t even begin to explain how special you are and as for you being mute… I don’t mind at all. Just know that if you ever want to speak again, I’m here to help” his words had my heart swelling. The door to the room burst open.

“Baby- what’s going on here?” Ashley asks walking in the room glaring at me. I swear if looks could kill I would be buried six feet under.

“We are talking and why are you entering my room without knocking Ashley?” Gabriel asks through gritted teeth.

“Oh baby I sleep here too. Or did you forget after I went out with my friends for a night?” Ashley asks sitting in his lap. A pang in my chest had me rubbing it as I stood up.

‘Thank you for breakfast. I should be going now’ I bowed my head in respect making Gabriel growl lowly. I don’t understand why he is growling when he’s the Alpha. I’m just showing respect. Before he could say anything I was out the room. I ran down the stairs. I grabbed my bag and just as I opened the door I run into Sara.

“Hey, where are you going?” she asks.

‘I have some things to do’ I signed, and I remembered the invitations.

‘Could you hand these out for me please’ I asked handing her the invitations.

“Sure. I’ll see you later at the diner” she said. I heard someone coming down the stairs, so I quickly left the house, straddled my bike, and took off without looking back. Because I know that if I looked back I would break.

Once I made it to my grandma’s house I parked the bike and went to see if grandma needed any help. She had hired a new girl named Hope a few days ago, so I just stop by to see if they need help. When I saw everything was good I decided to go on a walk through the forest. I started to think about Gabriel and soon my walk sped up to a jog. I just had s*x with him for the third time. It’s like every time he touches me my body heats up and yearns for his touch. It’s like he’s the only one who can put the fire out and I love it, yet I knew he couldn’t be mine.

I found myself running through the woods as my vision blurs with unshed tears. I blink letting them fall as I run faster. The images of us having s*x run through my mind before they turn to him and Ashley when I saw them in his office, and she was grinding on him, and he was kissing her back and gripping her a*s. And then there’s what happened earlier. I push myself to run faster even though my legs feel like jelly. Soon my legs give out on me, and I fall to my knees on the forest ground. I sob letting everything out. The pain in my chest intensifies and the only thing I can do is clutch my chest as I try to gasp for air.

SNAP

I hear a twig snap but I’m too exhausted to get up. My tears don’t want to stop, and the pain just get worse. Suddenly I see something black coming towards me. I put my hand up and shake my head mouthing ‘stop, don’t hurt me.’ I heard a whimper before something wet and cold touched my hand. I gasped pulling my hand back feeling a shock of electricity. I blinked a few times and saw it was a wolf, but not just any wolf. It was Shadow. Shadow laid down curling his body around me. I felt safe around him. The same kind of safe I get when I’m with Gabriel. I don’t know how much time passed with me curled up against Shadow and silently sobbing. All I know is that I cried myself to sleep.
