I sat next to Joel and placed my arm around him. He’s like a little brother to me and he was hurting because his mate could die. I opened my mouth to say something when the lights in the pack clinic started flickering. Joel stiffened and looked around.

“Yashira” he whispered before the two of us ran to the room where Yashira was taken. There was my mate holding on to Andy’s hand. A soft pink, light blue, and silver light surrounded her, and it was making its way into Andy’s body. Her eyes changed to that of her priestess, and they seemed to glow bright.

“Stop her, I don’t want her or the baby getting hurt” Joel said. I moved towards my mate and reached for her.

“Stop!” Blair shouted and grabbed my hand.

“There’s a connection between Andy and Yashira right now. She’s healing him and if you break that connection, you don’t just kill Andy but your mate and pup” Blair informs me when her head snaps to the door. There, by the door stood Tristan and his golden eyes glowed bright. He walked closer as if in a trance.

“Mommy” he whispered taking Yashira’s hand and a white light as bright as the full moon appeared around Yashira and Tristan.

“The moonlight” Blair whispered, but all I could see was my mate and son. Andy’s eyes shot open and gasped but the tubes in his mouth were stopping him from taking a deep breath. My mate let go of Andy and the colors disappeared. Yashira looked down at her hand to see Tristan holding it. She smiled softly at him before her eyes rolled to the back of her head. I caught her before she hit the floor. Maggie ran in and checked on Andy. Blair looked over Yashira and Tristan.

“Your son is fine, but your mate is exhausted. She just needs some rest” Blair says. I take my mate and son back to my room and I lay her down. I was still speechless from what I just saw. I covered my mate with the duvet as my son laid next to her. He snuggled closer to her, and I covered him up as well. I sat down on the sofa and just thought about everything that happened today.

Earlier after Yashira left Blair’s cabin, I asked Blair to tell me the truth about the Blue Moon. Yes, it’s where Yashira will get the rest of her powers but is also the night, I need to mark her. I haven’t marked her yet afraid that I would hurt her or our pup. I asked Blair what would happen if I don’t mark her, but she said she couldn’t answer that question because she has never dealt with someone passing their powers down to a human nor anyone who wasn’t born into the family. What Ana did have never been done before and Blair was learning just like the rest of us.

I sat next to Joel and placed my arm around him. He’s like a little brother to me and he was hurting because his mate could die. I opened my mouth to say something when the lights in the pack clinic started flickering. Joel stiffened and looked around.

Then I have my son, Tristan who seemed to be in a trance when he grabbed my mate’s hand. What happened to him? And what’s the moonlight? I needed answers and Blair seemed to know. I got up when I saw Tristan had fallen asleep and I walked down to my office where I saw Blair.

“I had a feeling you would be coming down to look for me” she said turning to me.

“What happened in that room?” I asked.

“Tristan is extremely attached to your mate. It seemed like he felt Yashira was trying to help someone which drew him to her also awakening his powers” she says.

“The moonlight” I whispered, and she nods.

“The moonlight is a special gift given by the moon goddess. It’s like healing but more powerful. In simple terms… your son can bring someone back from the dead only if they have passed away and it hasn’t been more than ten minutes. If it’s more than ten minutes then he can’t bring them back” she flat out said, and I felt like my jaw just hit the floor.

“So, what was he doing when he grabbed Yashira’s hand?” I asked.

“Helping her. This is all still new to her and because she has been training, she was a little weak. All Tristan did was give your mate a boost” Blair explained. I took a deep breath and rubbed my temple.

“This needs to stay hidden though. Noone can know your son has this power. Yashira… is a rare and valuable high priestess, but your son would be a gold mine to others who found out about his powers” Blair says. I couldn’t say I was surprised about Tristan, after all his mother is the granddaughter of the Moon Goddess and the Vampire God. Lacey’s mom was the Moon Goddess daughter, and her father was the Vampire God’s son.

“Have you thought about what we talked about earlier?” Blair asks snapping me out of my thoughts.

“I don’t want to hurt our pup” I admitted.

“Gabriel, this is the high priestess you are talking about. She’s powerful, but at the same time you have to remember she was born a human. Look, let me put it to you this way. Put yourself in her shoes. What if the roles were reversed? What if you were her and she was you? What would you think?” she says. She pats my shoulder and walks out of the office. I couldn’t help but actually picture us if the roles were reverse. The first thing I would’ve thought is if she was regretting her decision to be my mate.

‘Goddess was this what she was thinking?’ I thought to myself.

‘Maybe. You have been so busy with these attacks, making sure that the pack is good, that our son is safe, and that he has everything he needs, and that our mate’s pregnancy is going perfectly fine that you have forgotten to think about how she has been feeling or thinking’ Shadow says. I didn’t say anything because he was right. I sighed and headed back upstairs and took my son to his room. I then went back to my room and took a shower. I washed my hair and body before letting the hot water relax my muscles. After a while I turned off the water, dried myself, and wore my boxers before laying down next to my mate.

‘Andy?’ I link.

‘Hello Alpha’ he links back and sounded exhausted.

‘How are you feeling?’ I asked through the link.

‘I’m good Alpha, thanks to our Luna. How is she doing?’ he asks.

‘She’s resting, but Blair says she should be good by morning’ I replied.

‘I’m glad to hear that and I’m sorry she had to do that’ I could hear the guilt in his voice.

‘Don’t be. She did it because you are her friend, her brother’s mate, and she cares about you’ I assured him.

‘Thank you, Alpha. How is Tristan? I heard he also helped’ he says through the link.

‘He did, but that needs to stay between us. No one is to know about what Tristan did, but he’s also resting’ I said through the link.

‘Absolutely Alpha. I’m glad to hear he’s also doing okay. Thank you again for saving my life’ he says.

‘No, thank you for saving mine. Go ahead and rest’ I said before cutting off the link. I turned towards my mate and place my hand gently on her belly. I close my eyes taking a deep breath as my mate’s scent calms me and soon, I replace sleep.
