Chapter 24

(Yashira)

I woke up to the sound of purring. I turn to see Gabriel’s eyes opened, but it wasn’t Gabriel, it was Shadow.

“Good morning kitten” Shadow k!sses the tip of my nose.

“Good morning Shadow” I blush making him chuckle. The door to the room opens and Tristan walks in. He tries to get on the bed, but he was having a little bit of trouble, but Gabriel helps him up.

“Mowning” Tristan grins.

“Good morning my handsome boy. How did you sleep?” I ask him running my fingers through his hair. He closes his eye leaning into my touch.

“I sweep good” he says. His little stomach growls making his eyes snap open, and I watch as a blush creeps up his neck to his cheeks and Gabriel laughs.

“Go and change your clothes son and brush your teeth. When you are done come downstairs for breakfast” Gabriel says. Tristan nods, sliding off the bed and runs out the room. I love that little boy. I would give my life for him and Gabriel. I just hope that Gabriel understands that I’m not trying to take Lacey’s place.

“What are you thinking about?” Gabriel asks making me look at him. I see his golden eye darken a little and I know Shadow is present. I can’t lie to them, so I decided to be honest.

“Gabriel, Shadow… I don’t want to think I’m trying to take Lacey’s place in your heart or Tristan’s heart. I just want to make you and Tristan happy. Gabriel Knight… I’m in love with you. I love Tristan and you so much that it hurts” I admitted. I didn’t realize I was crying until Gabriel wiped my tears. He pulled me closer and k!ssed my l!ps before k!ssing my eyes, my forehead, my nose, my cheeks and then my l!ps again.

“I love you too Yashira. I love you more than words can explain, and I know you are not trying to take Lacey’s place. She has a special place in my heart, but you, Tristan and our unborn pup own the rest of my heart. I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you and if there’s an afterlife, I want to continue there with you as well” he says. More tears streamed down my face. He placed his forehead on mine.

“I love you, mi gatita” he whispered against my l!ps. i couldn’t help but smile at the pet name in spanish.

“I love you too, mi corazon” I said back before he k!ssed me. When we pulled back from the k!ss and Gabriel placed his forehead on mine again.

“How did you know about Lacey?” he asks.

“Do you remember when you first met my brother? I mean brothers” I asked.

“Yes” he replies.

“Well, that day when I took a nap, I had a dream. In my dream was Lacey with another man who she introduced as his first mate, Malik” I began to tell him about my dream and what she said. I also told him how I kindly refused the wish on becoming a werewolf and told him what my only wish was. By the time I finished telling him my dream he had a smile on his face.

“You’re selfless. You always think about everyone else before thinking of yourself and I admire that about you. I’m also happy to know that Lacey is doing good and that she’s not alone” he says.

“Aren’t you… mad that she’s with another man?” I asked surprised of his behavior.

“No, I knew she had a mate before me, and he was killed along with his pack because of who she was. The day she was killed by hunters I admit, it, it broke me. I had to cut Tristan out of her with my claws before he could die too. I knew that when she went to meet her grandmother, she was going to meet her first mate. I must admit, I first I thought I was going to be alone but after three years I decided to try and move on which is why I was thinking about making Ashley my chosen mate, but then you appeared, and I found out you were my second chance mate. I was angry at first because you were human. It had nothing to do against you, but hunters killed Lacey and I blamed all humans, but you proved me wrong every single time and I thank you for that. You opened up my eyes and I’m glad you did because I love you, Yashira” Gabriel k!ssed me again.

“I love you too” I said against his l!ps. Gabriel went to the bathroom, and I changed my clothes. I wore a light blue sundress that came just above my knees. I took out a pair of white flats and I kicked the to where the sofa was.

“What are you doing babe?” Gabriel asks from the door looking amused.

“I can’t bend down anymore” I tell him making him chuckle as he walks towards me. He bends down picking up my flats. He helps me sit down and puts on my shoes. He then gets dressed in some grey sweatpants and a black tank top with black sneakers.

“Let’s go eat breakfast and then we can go to see Maggie so she can check the baby. Afterwards I have training” he says.

“Can I come with you. I just want to watch you train” I ask.

“Sure” he smiles. After breakfast we head to the clinic. There was a knock on the door before Doctor Maggie walked in.

“Alpha, Luna, how are you both doing?” Maggie asks.

“We’re good Maggie. We’re ready for our appointment” Gabriel says.

“Of course,” Maggie grinned. She began taking my vitals and asked how I have been feeling, if I have felt the baby kick, etc.

“Can you lay back and bring you dress up just below your b.reast” Maggie asks. Gabriel helps me lay back and Maggie spreads a blanket over my lower half.

“This is going to be cold” she warns me and squirt the cold gel on my lower belly making me gasp. She then takes little wand and presses it against my lower belly and starts to move it around. Instantly the room fills up with the rapid heartbeat of the baby. I look at Gabriel to replace him already looking at me with a huge smile on his face.

“Your baby looks strong and healthy. Would you like to know the gender of the baby?” Maggie asks. I look at Gabriel waiting for him to answer.

“Do you want to know the gender baby? Or do you want it to be a surprise?” Gabriel asks.

“I already got what I wanted which is to know that the baby is strong and healthy. You choose” I tell him.

“Yes, we want to know” he says excitedly. Maggie moves the wand a little and clicks a few times.

“You’re having a… girl” Maggie grins. I swallow the lump in my throat. This all still feels unreal. I’m pregnant with a baby girl. I’m dating the most handsome and wonderful man in the world who has an incredibly sweet, caring, and lovable little boy. I feel truly blessed.

(Yashira)

I woke up to the sound of purring. I turn to see Gabriel’s eyes opened, but it wasn’t Gabriel, it was Shadow.

“So, you have two months and a week to go before going into labor. No tress at all. I want you to rest. I also want you to come see me again in two weeks. I want to make sure that you are doing well since you are carrying a werewolf baby” Maggie says, and I nod. Gabriel gets some paper towels and begins to clean me up.

“I’m going to get you the pictures and your next appointment” Maggie says and leaves.

“Two months and a week” I repeated that’s when it hit me.

“Wait, two months and a week and I have nothing for the baby. I need a crib, car seat, stroller, bottles-” Gabriel chuckled stopping my rambling.

“Relax baby. I’m sure the girls, your grandma, and mom would help” he says.

“Yeah, I need to contact Donovan and Mitch too” I said looking down feeling guilty. I have been so busy that i haven’t spoken to my best friends as much as I have wanted too.

“It’s alright. You can call them when we get back to the pack house and have them come over if you like” Gabriel says wrapping his arms around me. I know it was hard for him with them being rogues, but he had no idea why they became rogues, and all Donovan and Mitch ever did was keep me safe and be my friends. No ill intensions ever came from them. After we left the clinic we ran into Jake, Sara, Rhonda, and Noah.

“Good morning, Alpha, Luna” Rhonda grins.

“Good morning, Rhonda, Sara, Jake, Noah” I smile at them

“How is everything with the baby?” Sara asks.

“She’s doing great” Gabriel grins proudly.

“A girl?” Sara squeals before she hugs Gabriel and me. We were also hugged by the others and congratulated. Afterwards I followed them to the training field and sat on a chair and took out my phone. After a while I put it to the side and watched Gabriel training his pack members. His body had a thin layer of sweat and God, I wanted to lick the sweat off his body. I felt my p***y clench as my panties moisten. I watched Gabriel sniff the air before his head whipped towards me. His eyes flashed rapidly between his golden eyes and black. I crossed my legs when I saw him smirk.

“Yaya” I heard Tristan’s voice and my head whipped to where I heard his voice coming from scanning for danger. I saw him running towards me and stopped a few feet away from me. He looked at my belly before he looked at me.

“Hi, my handsome boy” I said while getting up. He took a small step towards me, but I could see that he was worried he would hurt me since my belly was big. He gently touching my th!gh. I kneeled holding onto the chair. I can see that there was something wrong.

“What’s wrong baby?” I ask.

“I dweam you… weft me” he whimpers, and I see his eyes shine with unshed tears.

“My sweet, sweet boy. I’m not going anywhere” I assured him. He leans forwards trying not to hurt my belly. When he pulls back, he looks at my belly. I took his little hand and placed it on my belly where his little sister was kicking. His little eyes widen before he grins

“Is it my bwother?” he eyes shone brightly as he asked. I look at Gabriel who smiles and makes his way towards us.

“It’s actually your sister” Gabriel says.

“Weally? So… awe you my mommy now?” he asks, and I look at Gabriel before looking back at Tristan.

“I’ll be whatever you want me to be Tristan. I can be your friend or just Yaya” I tell him. He shakes his head vigorously.

“I want you to be my mommy. I know my fiwst mommy is in heaven, but I want you to be my mommy now” he says.

“Okay baby. If it’s okay with your daddy, I’ll be your mommy. I’ll love you and protect you as my own” Tristan hugged me, and I felt his little tears land on my shoulder.

“I wove you, mommy” he mumbles.

“I love you too my sweet boy” I can’t help but look up at the sky. I hope Lacey doesn’t think I’m trying to take her place because I’m not. I just want him to feel the love of a mother and protection.

‘Lacey, if you can hear me. I promise to take care of Tristan as my own. I also promise that he will never forget you’ I said in my head. Tristan and I watch Gabriel train before we both got hungry. Tristan took my hand trying to help me up. We both walked back to the pack house. Pack members would pass by us and bow their heads wishing us a good afternoon. I would respond back to them wishing them a good afternoon as well. We walked inside the pack house and there were already people making lunch.

“Hello Luna. Lunch will be ready in about a half an hour” Helen, the head cook says.

“Thank you, Helen. I’m just going to get a snack for Tristan, Gabriel and I” I tell her.

“I made strawberry cheesecake earlier. Would that be good for you?” she asks with a sweet smile. Before I could answer my stomach answered for me making Helen laugh. She got three plates out and put three pieces of strawberry cheesecake, one on each plate. when my stomach growled again, she placed another smaller piece on my place with a soft giggle.

“What would you like to drink?” she asks. I looked in the fridge and my eyes widen when I saw ‘OK Kola champagne’ (a soda they drink in Puerto Rico) and also ‘Coco Rico’ (which is coconut water with a little seltzer).

“I’ll take one of the Kola Champagne. What about you Tristan?” I asked him.

“Apple juice” he replied. Helen got a juice box and gave it to him.

“I’ll take a Gatorade for Gabriel” I tell her. I grabbed the two plates and our drinks including Tristan’s drink. He was already eating his cheesecake.

“Do you need help Luna?” Andy asks walking in from training. He looked like he never was in the brink of death.

“No, thank you. I’m just going to Gabriel. I’m also glad to see you are better” I tell him.

“All because of you two” he smiles gratefully.

“How is my brother?” I asked. Last time I heard from him Gabriel said that he was with his mate.

“He’s at the house resting. I finally marked and mated him” Andy smiled proudly. I knew he loved my brother very much and would do anything for him.

“Congratulations. I’m happy for the both of you” I smiled.

“Thank you, Luna. I’ll let you go now. Please, be careful down the steps” he calls as I begin to climb down the steps while Tristan’s holds on to my dress. We walk back to the training grounds, and I see people are starting to leave the training grounds. I finally get to Gabriel who turns just as I’m right behind him.

“Where did you two go?” he asks while looking at Tristan who had a cheesecake on his face.

“We got hungry, so we went for a snack. We got you a snack too” I show him and grins.

“I love strawberry cheesecake. Thank you, both of you” he says. I go back to my chair and while Gabriel and Tristan sat on the floor in front of me.

“Do you like the news about being a big brother?” Gabriel asks.

“Yes, I pwotect the baby” Tristan said puffing out his little chest.

“That’s my boy” Gabriel said ruffling Tristan’s hair. After they finished their snack, I watched as Gabriel chased after Tristan. I took out my phone and took a few pictures of them. I decided to call my grandma to see how she was doing.

“Hello?” grandma answers.

“Hi abuelita” I smiled hearing her voice.

“Estrellita, I’m so glad to hear your voice. How are you mija?” she asks.

“I’m good. I just went to the doctor” I tell her. I looked to where Gabriel and Tristan were to see they were gone.

“How is the baby?” grandma asks.

“The baby is doing good. Would you like to know what I’m having?” I asked her.

“YES!” she shouted making me pull my phone away from my ear and laugh.

“I’m having a girl” I tell her. Grandma squeals. I can imagine Jeffrey smiling wide as he watched her.

“We have to go shopping” grandma says.

“Yes, we do. When do you want to go? I can talk to Sara, Rhonda, and Charlotte” I tell her.

“We can go tomorrow morning if you like” grandma says.

“That sound good grandma” I notice Gabriel and Tristan walking back with something behind their backs.

“We can go shopping tomorrow grandma. I’ll let the girls know, but I have to go” I tell her.

“Okay sweetheart. I’ll see you tomorrow” grandma says.

“Okay abuelita. I love you”

“I love you too, Estrellita” I hung up the phone and looked at Gabriel and Tristan arching an eyebrow at them wondering what they were up to.

“Yashira, I know when we started things didn’t go like it should have, but I want to make things up to you. I want to make you happy” he takes out a large construction paper. It said: ‘Yashira will you be my mate?’ Then Tristan took out one that said: ‘Yaya, be my mommy’. I couldn’t stop the tears that streamed down my cheek. These hormones were getting the best of me. Even though Gabriel and I had started our relationship already I thought this was really cute and heartwarming for me.

“Yes” I choked out.

“Don’t cry mommy” Tristan says hugging me.

“They are happy tears baby” I assured him. I get up and k!ss Gabriel.

“I love you, Yashira” Gabriel whispers against my l!ps.

“I love you too, Gabriel” I tell him. We head back to the pack house.

“Babe, grandma and I are going shopping tomorrow for baby stuff. Could you ask Sara, Rhonda and your mom if they want to accompany us?” I asked him.

“Okay baby” he says.

“Can I go mommy?” Tristan asks.

“It’s up to your daddy, baby” I tell him.

“I don’t mind baby” he says. After lunch Tristan went to go play with the other kids. Gabriel walked with me to the room. He took my hand and guided me passed his room.

“I want to show you something” he says and opens a door.

“This is going to be the baby’s room. What do you think? Is not far from our room” he asks.

“This is perfect. I love it. Wait, did you just say our room?” I asked. Gabriel wrapped his arms around me.

“Yes, I said our room. I want you to move in with me” he says. Even though I have been staying here for over a month, I was only here because of mee needing to learn about being a high priestess and learning how to use my powers. The fact that Gabriel just asked me to be his girlfriend a while back and now asking me to move in even though I was already sleeping here made me all warm inside. I smiled wide at his words making him blush.

“Yes! And this is perfect. Thank you” I k!ssed his l!ps. After I pulled away, I looked inside the room imagining where I’m going to put everything. Gabriel wraps his arms around me rubbing my belly just as a knock echo in the room. I turn to see Sara, Rhonda, and Charlotte.

“Hi Yashira. How are you feeling?” Charlotte asks.

“I’m tired, but I feel good… safe” I whispered the last word, but I knew they heard me.

“We have a surprise for you” Sara, Rhonda and Charlotte step to the side revealing Donovan and Mitch.

“Donovan, Mitch” I squealed and opened my arms not wanting to step away from Gabriel.

“Yashira” they both say in unison before they both hug me and k!ss the top of my head.

“Alpha Gabriel” they both bow their heads in respect.

“You look so beautiful, Yashira” Mitch says.

“And we missed you. Your grandma called us and filled us in on what you’re having. We’re so excited for you” Donovan says.

“Thank you” I tell them.

“So, is this the princess’ room?” Mitch asks.

“Yes” Gabriel replies.

“Do you have any specific colors that you want?” Donovan asks.

“Light grey, white and a soft pink” I said.

“Sounds good. Why don’t you go rest? We” Mitch gestured to everyone in the room “will take care of the rest.”

“But-” I cut myself off yawning and Gabriel chuckled.

“Come on baby. You need rest” he guides me to our room and takes off my flats. I lay down on the bed and Gabriel covers me with the duvet.

“Sleep my love, I will be in my office. Sara, Rhonda, Donovan, and Mitch are going to be down the hall” he tells me.

“Okay” I tell him. He k!ssed my forehead and left the room. I took a deep breath closing my eyes and letting sleep come to me.
