Illusions?

Dermott's brows furrowed themselves together slightly.

However, he soon vetoed that thought.

He could sense the power of the earthen attribute surging through the sludge.

Dermott leaped into the air and flung several talismans into the air.

As the talismans burned and landed on the ground, the swamp immediately returned to its original state.

That was a soil-stabilizing talisman that had the power to pause the attributes of the soil within a certain area. The way it functioned was similar to the Five Great Immortals' wind-stabilizing pearls.

A cold glint appeared in Maidee's eyes, and a burst of energy surged toward Dermott. In an instant, Dermott plummeted into a cavern filled with monsters. Countless demons lunged toward him.

Maidee raised his staff once again and pointed it at Dermott as he chanted, "Center Earth Fire..."

The ground rumbled as flames burst forth from within. They engulfed Dermott in an instant.

"Spell Breaking Talisman!

"Floating Ice Talisman!"

Dermott tossed two talismans forth and once again deflected Maidee's attacks.

Maidee was slightly stunned.

The talismans this youngster was using did not look like what the Eastern cultivators usually used!

He gritted his teeth and tightened his grip on the staff as the transparent energy sphere on the staff's tip turned black. He raised his staff and pointed it at Dermott, shooting out a black pillar of light that embedded itself within Dermott's chest. ""Battle over!"

Maidee smiled a slight smile.

Even someone who had achieved the Profound Oriental Realm would still die when struck by a dark force. He believed there was no way this young man could survive.

Yet, the very next second, the smile on Maidee's face slowly froze.

He watched as Dermott opened his mouth and consumed the dark force.

What the fuck?

That gust of dark force could shatter one's soul!

Somehow, Dermott managed to swallow it.

An odd glint appeared in Maidee's eyes. He wanted to know if Dermott had activated some unknown dark power. However, he did not sense any dark powers on him. On the contrary, he sensed a strong beastly energy about him.

Fear washed over Maidee. "A-Are you a human or a beast?"

Dermott flipped his wrist. A cleaver covered in scratches appeared in his hands.

He jumped into the air, bringing the cleaver down as he roared, "I'm your ancestor!"

Maidee's face turned pale as he hurriedly raised his staff to defend himself.

A massive explosion rang out.

Maidee was sent flying by the immense force that the cleaver had produced.

The force that the cleaver produced was similar to what a peak Profound Oriental Realm expert could produce.

Maidee was well-versed in

witchcraft, which had to be

performed from a distance. Since

there was only a small distance

between himself and Del

cleaver, he had no way of defending himself.

Maidee landed on the ground and stumbled several steps backward. Dermott was not human... There was no way he could be human!

Maidee screamed inwardly as he drove his staff into the ground. Then, he brought his hands to his chest as he prayed fervently, "May Frey bless me and grant me the power of

thunder and lightning to defeat the

enemy standing before mee"

A purple ray of light shone on Maidee. Maidee was immediately surrounded by a thundercloud. When he opened his eyes, he saw thunder and lightning flashing before him. Maidee grasped his staff and pointed it at Dermott once more. "Power of thunder and lightning-"

A bolt of lightning as thick as a bowl zapped toward Dermott.

Maidee scoffed. "There's no way you can fight back against the power of thunder and lightning granted by the heavens!"

"What? How did you know my thunder cleaver needed to absorb the power of thunder and lightning?" Dermott asked, pretending to seem surprised as an excited look appeared in his eyes.
