The thunder cleaver was forged using the spine of the ancient thunder beast by the revered Jonah.

The ancient thunder beast was born during a thunderstorm. It was the embodiment of heavenly thunder and was also known as the thunder spirit.

Bones from the ancient thunder beast's skeleton were an extremely powerful source of thunder energy. They could trigger thunderbolts and also absorb the energies from millions of thunder sources. Dermott held the thunder cleaver in his hands and brought it toward the massive thunderbolt.

Dark thunderclouds billowed around the cleaver as it consumed the purple cloud surrounding Maidee.

Maidee was stunned.

That was the heavenly thunder that Troy, the thunder god of the West, had left on Earth for him.

Somehow, it had gotten consumed by that tiny cleaver.

Which Ancient Immortal left this weapon behind on Earth?

"Your thunderbolt is with me now. Let's see if you can take mine.."

A stern look appeared on Dermott's face as he pointed the blade of his cleaver toward the sky.

The sky changed colors as it became filled with dozens of red-colored clouds. Maroon bolts of lightning flashed within these red clouds that flashed threateningly.

"That's a fifth-grade Thunder Tribulation... the Herculean Thunder!"

Dante drew in a deep breath, the pitch of his voice wavering slightly as he spoke.

When he saw the martial artists staring at him, he explained, "Every time one advances from one realm to the next, they're required to experience certain tribulations. There are nine realms in total.

"For every tribulation, the Thunder Tribulation's powers will increase. Herculean Thunder is a tribulation that only a cultivator who has advanced through all the realms would be able to survive!"

After a moment's pause, he narrowed his eyes and said, "This youngster's cleaver can summon Herculean Thunder, but his body may not be able to withstand it. If the thunder strikes, he'll end up shattered into pieces as well!" Eric's eyes widened. "Fuck, doesn't that mean he's setting himself up for death?"

Dante glanced at Dermott. When he saw the look of fear and confusion in Maidee's eyes, he lowered his eyes and said, "Unless Maidee admits defeat, this youngster will do everything to summon Herculean Thunder-even if it means dying alongside Maidee!" Lightning flashed among the red clouds.

Maidee's pulse quickened, and his

entire being trembled as his breathing hastened. "I refuse

believe that you have control of

heavenly thunder!"

Dermott was a cultivator who had only just entered the King Realm. There was no way he had control over heavenly thunder.

He guessed that although the cleaver could summon heavenly thunder, it could not control the heavenly thunder and have it strike him. "Well, you'll know if you try."

Dermott sneered as he tightened his grip on the cleaver and bellowed T summon" An ancient, suffocating aura emanated from the cleaver. Three bolts of red lightning crashed from the sky in a row.

Maidee's eyes widened as he hurriedly said, "I admit defeat..."

Dermott immediately put his cleaver away upon hearing that.

The three bolts of lightning immediately vanished.

Maidee gritted his teeth. "Were you fooling me?"

Dermott said calmly, "It doesn't matter whether I was fooling you or not. What matters is that you chickened out!"

Maidee's grip on his staff tightened as he scoffed and exited the arena.

Dermott heaved a quiet sigh of relief. His back had long since been covered in a layer of cold sweat.

He had no idea just how powerful the heavenly thunder he summoned using the thunder cleaver would be.

For a moment, he had felt himself surrounded by death as well.

He could not control the heavenly

thunder himself. All he could do was

abhe thunder using the cleaver

and release it once again using the cleaver.

Given his current capabilities, he still could not fully activate the source of thunder energy contained within the cleaver.

Thus, it was difficult to say with certainty whether the cleaver would have been able to withstand the power of the heavenly thunder. Thank goodness Maidee had chickened out. If not, it was highly likely they would have died together.

The Eastern camp had won thrice in a row.

Scowls appeared on the faces of Bobbit and the other Western cultivators.

"You idiot, Maidee! Why did you get scared by a couple of bolts of lightning? You're an embarrassment to the Western camp!"
