Mysterious Little Wife
Chapter 32  You Must Distinguish Between Human and Demon!

The quartet arrived at the airport about three o'clock in the afternoon.

"Lacey, are you sure you want to go? Shouldn't you inform dad first?" Lillianna frowned and reminded her. "I suppose I could call you a taxi if you back out now." Lacey found Lillianna's impatience with wanting her to leave amusing. She said, "I believe dad wouldn't object if it's Mr. Henderson I'm going with."

Theo grinned at the reply.

Sure enough, Lillianna had no choice but to clench her teeth in response.

Indeed, if Bailey knew that Lacey had hooked up with Theo, he would surely beg her to come along.

"Theo, you're no longer a child. You must distinguish between human and demon." Sam's comments were loaded with meaning. He glared at Lacey with a frigid look.

Lillianna was pleased by what Sam had said. She grinned as if she were watching a fantastic show.

As such, Theo subconsciously glanced at Lacey, who was at the moment looking around the airport like a child. He couldn't help but chuckle. "Yeah, I can tell the difference between the two." At the sight of this, Sam said nothing more and led Lillianna over to the VIP section.

"What are you looking at?" Theo approached Lacey and couldn't help but ask.

"I've never been on a plane before. Look, there's a plane!" Lacey dashed over to the clear glass window. "It's so huge!" She said in surprise with her palm pressed against the window. Theo followed her over. He smiled at the sight and asked, "You're the daughter of the Carter family. How could you have never flown before?"

Lacey paused slightly at the question.

She looked at him from the side and asked, "Aren't you afraid of me?"

"Why should I be afraid of you? It's not like you're a demon that's going to devour me." His grin widened even more.

"But didn't you hear what they said? I don't have a good reputation. I'm no good girl." Lacey smiled indifferently.

Theo frowned. He couldn't resist reaching out and flicking her forehead. "What are you thinking about? I can tell with my own eyes what kind of girl you are. Why should I care what others have to say about you?"

Lacey's breathing came to a halt. She was startled.

Gradually, a faint smile spread across her lips.

"Thank you, Theo," she said with twinkled eyes. She painted a ray of sunshine all over her face.

Theo was taken aback.

He had met countless beautiful women throughout his life, from influencers to celebrities.

He had, however, never seen a girl smile so sweetly. Her crystal-like eyes were unblemished and haze-free as if they were meant to light up his heart.

"Look, that plane is enormous, isn't it?" Meanwhile, Lacey had no idea how much of a shock she had left Theo with.

"Yes, it is. Let's move over to the Vip section. Once boarded the plane later, I'll show you around." Theo took her hand and walked over with a beam of joy.

However, his idea of showing off was soon overpowered by Lacey.

That was right. As soon as Lacey boarded the plane, she stumbled.

She was experiencing motion sickness.

Three hours later, the plane landed on Coastal City.

It was only after getting off the plane and into the car that Lacey felt alive again.

"Lacey, are you all right? I told you to rest at home. Thank God you're fine." Lillianna sat next to Lacey in the Lincoln stretch limousine.

Sam and Theo, on the other hand, were seated at the front.

"Lacey, how are you doing? If you're not feeling well, please let me know!" With the look of a kind sister, Lillianna patted the back of Lacey's left hand.

Despite Lacey's indifferent smile, her heart grew cold. D*mn it, why did Lillianna have to use her sharp nails to scratch the back of her hand?

Without a word, Lacey withdrew her hand.

"Why don't you take some rest? I've made arrangements for dinner to be prepared tonight at the resort. Once you've had something to eat, you'll feel much better." Theo leaned forward and turned to the backseat.

"Mr. Henderson, let's forget it. Lacey isn't feeling well. She might not be able to consume certain dishes, such as seafood. Let's put her in her room and give her some time to rest," Lillianna said hastily. She didn't want Lacey to steal her attention during the night.

Lacey lifted an inconspicuous smile. In a weak tone, she said, "Thank you for your concern, Lillianna. Maybe I'll feel better after a few throw up-" Immediately, Lacey gave her abdomen a quick squeeze.

"What?"

Right before Lillianna could respond, Lacey felt something rise up against her stomach, and she threw up on Lillianna.

"Ah!" A scream erupted from the limousine.[
