Never Late, Never Away Chapter 2262
"It's time to eat, Larry," Delilah urged.
"I'm not eating," he answered softly.
Delilah stared at the untouched food before her and sighed. Looks like this is all going to waste.
Meanwhile, at the supermarket, the staff were already in their assigned areas, waiting for the customers' arrival. Joan was checking the products on the shelves with a solemn look on her face.
"Are you okay, Joan?" her colleague asked worriedly.
"Of course. Why wouldn't I be?" she answered with a smile.
Huh? What's going on? Her husband is having an affair, yet she's acting as though nothing happened. Isn't she moving on too quickly? Or maybe she's already given up on him.
"You can tell me if you're feeling distressed, Joan. We'll all help you out. Well, actually, we've already come up with a plan. As long as we have your permission, we'll carry it out right away," her colleague said awkwardly.
"Tell me about it," Joan responded as she read through the notebook in her hands.
"We're planning to teach Larry a lesson," the former answered.
Joan froze at her words but quickly recollected herself. "There's no need for that. We have nothing to do with each other from now on, so don't do anything reckless."
What? Her colleague stared at her in confusion. He's the one who betrayed her. He should be taught a lesson!
"Don't be such a coward, Joan. You can't let him off just like that." The flustered colleague raised her volume.
"What are you doing? Get to work!" Dustin yelled a short distance away.
The woman quickly left at that.
Of course, Joan wasn't being a coward; she just couldn't be bothered with it anymore.
In fact, she had everything planned out. Since Delilah owned another house in the village, she intended to move there and cool her head off.
Perhaps during this period of time, staying away from him would be the best way to heal her emotional wounds.
"Do you want to get lunch together?" Dustin asked as he walked over.
"You can go ahead. I'm not hungry. Besides, I need to settle some stuff later," Joan answered.
She knew that Larry saw Dustin and Caiden as his love rivals. Even though there were some issues with their relationship now, she didn't want him to misunderstand her further. Later on, she gave Delilah a call and told her that she was going to move out.
"You don't have to go to such great lengths, Joan. It's not a big deal. Why are you doing this?" the latter said.
It's not a big deal even though he cheated? Besides, if it was really a misunderstanding, why didn't he move away when Jessica kissed him? He even looked like he was enjoying the kiss!
"Ms. Young, I've already thought everything through. I want to move out. Please don't tell Larry where I'll be. I need some time alone," Joan insisted.
"Is that so? What about me? What about your child? Do you have the heart to leave us?"
"I am reluctant to leave you both, but you can come and visit me anytime you want. It's your house anyway," Joan said.
She had already made up her mind, and nothing could change her decision. Delilah shook her head and sighed. Has their marriage come to an end already? Is there really no chance of them getting back together anymore?
Oh, Larry! You fool!
"Alright, Ms. Young, I'll hang up now. I still have to work."
"Okay," Delilah answered with a nod.
Fine. I'll just let her be. As long as she's happy.
In the meantime, Caspian lounged on the hospital bed as he flipped through a magazine, clearly displeased. Jessica was typing away on her laptop and would cast him a side-glance from time to time, feeling upset.
