No Chance of Remarriage Get Lost (Elisa) -
Chapter 620
Do you mind?
Julia didn’t know how to respond and couldn’t say it brazenly.
Do you mind?
Julia didn’t know how to respond and couldn’t say it brazenly.
Elisa smiled.
“Grandma, I know that you like this,” she said as she took food for Old Madam Wickam.
She didn’t bring Gareth up at all.
Julia breathed a sigh of relief. She smiled as she nodded. “Yes. Eat up, Liz! I instructed them specially to make your
favorite food today!”
As she spoke, she also took food for Elisa. The two of them talked and laughed and completely neglected Gareth.
There was a warm atmosphere around them, and it unexpectedly made Gareth seem like an outsider.
It was as though Gareth was already used to such air and didn’t feel uncomfortable at all. He even… had an
indescribable appetite.
But…
Because of Gareth’s presence, Elisa decided not to stay any longer in the end. She looked at Old Madam Wickam
and smiled lightly as she said, “Grandma, I’ve been here for quite some time today, and I have some work to do. I’ll
come back another day.”
Reluctance immediately streaked across Julia’s eyes. Seeing that her grandson was going nowhere and intended to
stay with her, she finally sighed. “Alright, my good girl. Go home quickly and rest once you’re done with work. Don’t
tire yourself out, alright?”
Elisa smiled and nodded. “Alright. You rest well too, Grandma.”
“Okay. Mr. Jones, arrange for someone to send Liz back.”
“Alright, Old Madam Wickam.”
“It’s fine, Grandma. I drove here.”
“That won’t do! Your house is far away, and the sky is dark. I’ll be worried if you leave alone.”
In the past, Julia would have made Gareth send Elisa back.
But now…
She didn’t say a word about it. It suddenly made Gareth frown slightly, displeased.
Seeing the situation, Elisa nodded in the end. “Alright. Please rest early, Grandma.”
“Ah, okay!” Old Madam Wickam seemed to be in a better mood once Elisa agreed.
Elisa didn’t say anything else, and she left.
Gareth didn’t send Elisa off, but he had no intention of leaving.
Julia’s gaze unconsciously fell on Gareth, and she asked in a seemingly suspicious manner, “Did you really come to
keep me company today?”
This brat. Although he was filial, he was busy most of the time. He didn’t have much time overall.
But today…?
Gareth sat on the couch and crossed his long legs. His right hand was on the armrest of the couch and his bony
fingers tapped on it casually.
“Don’t you believe me?” At that moment, his ice-cold face softened, but there was still indifference in it.
Julia’s brows furrowed slightly, and the doubt in her eyes increased. “Should I believe you?”
At the next moment, she snorted coldly. “Brat. If you came here because of something, tell me. Stop playing
pretend. Do you think an old woman like me is a fool?”
Gareth couldn’t help but laugh. “You’re so wise, Grandma.”
Julia was dumbstruck.
This brat! Something is up!
She suddenly felt upset.
She rolled her eyes at him before she turned to ignore him.
The trace of a smile on the corner of Gareth’s lips seemed to deepen. He went closer to Old Madam Wickam and
looked at her as he said, “Grandma, I need your help with something. It’s something you’ll be happy to help me
with.”
Julia was flabbergasted.
She looked at him, stupefied. “Are you serious? You want me to do something for you? And it’s something I look
forward to?”
