The smile in the corner of Gareth’s lips deepened. “Yes.”

Julia felt dumbfounded.

She didn’t say anything, and she didn’t know what the brat had up his sleeve.

Gareth wasn’t at a loss, nor did he pause. He looked at Julia and said softly, “I want to remarry Elisa.”

Julia was rendered speechless.

She didn’t hear it clearly and was still looking at Gareth, but he didn’t say anything. He looked back at his

grandmother.

After waiting for a while, Julia came to her senses, and she looked at Gareth in disbelief. She asked firmly, “Did I

hear that correctly?”

What did he say?

Gareth nodded. “Mm. You heard it correctly. I want to remarry Elisa.”

Julia was blown away.

Her eyes widened and were filled with disbelief.

“Remarry Elisa?!”

Gareth nodded. He knew that Grandma would be surprised and in disbelief. After all, he had been so firm about it

previously. It was inevitable that she would be so incredulous.

But…

Just as he was thinking about what to say, Julia suddenly stood up angrily and punched Gareth’s chest. “I told you

not to get divorced previously, but you didn’t listen. You had to stay with that vixen. But now when Liz doesn’t like

you anymore and regards you with disdain, you want to remarry her. Do you think marrying her again is simple?!”

Julia was exasperated at him. There was endless irritation in her voice.

Gareth didn’t avoid it and let Julia punch him again.

After all, she was his biological grandmother. Even if she hit him, how much force could she have used?

She just couldn’t hold it in.

Gareth sat on the couch without moving. He nodded calmly. “I was confused previously, Grandma. I hope that you

can help me.”

Julia felt astounded.

She sized up her grandson. There was no trace of jesting or ridicule on his face. His expression was serious, and she

couldn’t help but look at him again and say in a low voice, “You’re not lying to me?”

She was now suspecting that the boy was playing tricks or going back to his old ways like before because he was

afraid that she would be angry and upset.

“No,” Gareth said calmly. This made Julia certain that she didn’t imagine things. But now, she couldn’t care about

anything else. She looked at him, perplexed, “Why do you want to remarry Elisa for no rhyme and reason?”

“There’s no way that you like Liz, is there? After all, she treated you so well last time and sacrificed wholeheartedly

for you, but you didn’t even like a girl like that. Don’t tell me that you’re moved when she’s standoffish to you now?”

Gareth was silent.

Although he didn’t like Elisa, why did he feel like Grandma was calling him despicable?

Julia didn’t think too much about it. She looked at Gareth again. “Tell me, why do you want to remarry Elisa?”

Gareth’s expression was calm. He said with ease, “Right now, I think she’s the best person and companion that can

support me for the rest of my life.”

“But she doesn’t want you anymore. What’s the point of thinking about it?” Julia retorted without thinking. She

couldn’t be dignified with her grandson. She had almost broken down back then when he abandoned her

granddaughter-in-law.

But…

She could only watch such an ending with wide eyes and had wanted to cry her eyes out.
