He didn’t care at all.

Norman was a nobody. He wasn’t interested in what nobody did.

Gareth was driving. If Thomas was in the passenger’s seat, he would’ve been able to tell that Mr. Wickam was in… a

pretty good mood today?

Gareth felt like time had passed quickly as he drove to the office.

Even when he was at his office desk, he didn’t feel sleepy at all and planned to continue dealing with work matters.

It was just that…

When he looked at the computer, the scene of Elisa sitting in front of the computer and concentrating on cracking

Wickam Group’s classified information appeared in his mind subconsciously.

Levels of confidential information were like passing clouds before her. He knew that no one could stop her if Elisa

wanted to crack it.

Twenty levels were like a simple game to her. She didn’t need to take too much trouble.

How much is Elisa hiding from him?

No one could understand his complicated feelings the instant that he found out that she was Black-Eyed Susan.

He had once thought that the woman he married was a vain pretty face that would do anything to achieve her

means. He thought that there was nothing good about her.

But now…

When he uncovered her identities one after another, Gareth felt that his face… hurt a little.

His brows furrowed tightly, and his thin lips were pursed.

The strange feelings in his heart made his expression slowly turn cold.

The next day, Elisa went to the office as usual.

Her office was still a tiny space, but today she felt that such an office was very comforting. After all, the lighting in it

was good.

Just as she was about to deal with work, her cell phone suddenly rang.

She looked at it and realized that it was a message from Gareth.

—Gareth: ‘Take a picture and show me when you’re visiting Grandma.’

Elisa was rendered speechless.

She frowned, but she had made a promise. After all, he had a part to play in her earning two billion the day before,

and he didn’t even ask for a share. For that reason, she agreed.

—Elisa: ‘Okay.’

She put down her cell phone and was going to continue with work, but she never expected to hear knocking at her

door.

“Liz, it’s me.” Kira’s gentle voice made its way to her ears.

“Come in.”

Kira opened the door and walked in.

“Are you busy, Liz?”

Elisa smiled. Seeing the pile of documents in Kira’s hands, Elisa’s voice was calm. “I’m just about to deal with work.”

Kira nodded. She placed the documents on Elisa’s office desk and smiled. “Everyone is done with these documents.

You need to look them over before you submit them to Ms. Kent.”

Elisa nodded. “Alright. I’ll send it to Ms. Kent once I’m done.”

Kira smiled and nodded. “Mm! After you became assistant manager, I noticed that some people might not be too

happy. You have to be careful, Liz!”

Elisa’s gaze was peaceful, but she knew who Kira was referring to.

“What has Ms. Dwyer been up to recently?”

“After you took over half her work, Ms. Dwyer said that she’s very relaxed. She’s even grateful that you were

promoted.” There was a sneer in the corner of Kira’s mouth as she spoke.

Kira had always been amiable. It was the first time that Elisa had seen her like that.

Elisa’s brows rose slightly, and she didn’t say anything.

Kira realized that she had lost self-control a little, and she came to her senses at once. “Cough… Liz, I meant…”

Elisa smiled and nodded. “I understand.”
