No Chance of Remarriage Get Lost (Elisa) -
Chapter 743
Julia was determined to stay.
Elisa couldn’t persuade her and could only help the old lady sit down.
The two sat together as they watched Gareth bustling around in the sea of flowers…
The smile in the corner of Julia’s mouth deepened. “I’m quite pleased with this.”
Gareth was stupefied.
He lowered his eyes, and a grim smile flickered across his face. Since Elisa wanted roses, heh… He would give her
roses.
Just as Julia and Elisa were chatting and waiting, Gareth finally picked enough roses.
He wasn’t the one keeping count. It was Julia.
She would announce the amount after he picked ten roses.
Julia might be old, but her mind was still sharp. She was more clear-headed than any ordinary person.
Elisa wasn’t surprised that Gareth didn’t look tired at all.
This man had always remained calm. Moreover, even though he was busy every day, he would never miss a
workout. He had an incredible physique, and picking these roses was nothing for him.
But Elisa didn’t want to tire him out as punishment. She wanted to humiliate him.
So what if he thought that he was above everyone else? He still had to personally pick roses here for the person he
despised and hated the most.
The corners of Elisa’s lips curved slowly. Upon seeing Gareth’s cloudy face that was about to break into a storm, she
couldn’t help but laugh lightly. “Thanks for picking the roses, Mr. Wickam.”
Gareth glanced at her coldly but didn’t say anything as he turned to leave.
Julia’s brows wrinkled. “You brat! What kind of attitude do you have? This is what you should be doing. You’re not
allowed to have any complaints against Liz, do you understand?”
Gareth didn’t say anything. The best way he could exercise patience was to not lose his temper.
Elisa stared at his icy figure, and the corners of her lips curved slowly. “Grandma, this is good enough. At the very
least, those in the company won’t talk about me anymore. When the time comes, I’ll show them proof.”
“Ah… you’re so gracious!” Julia was slightly exasperated, but she couldn’t say too much.
The two of them were silent for a while. Julia got up and looked at the roses on the table and the ground. She
couldn’t help but ask, “What do you plan to do with these roses?”
As soon as she said it, two female servants walked over together. One immediately said, “Old Madam Wickam, Mr.
Wickam just instructed us to keep all these roses and not to waste them.”
Elisa’s brows wrinkled slightly. She felt that something was strange.
She had humiliated Gareth today. Was he thinking of a way to retaliate?
She didn’t say anything and looked at the two servants, but she knew she couldn’t tell anything from their faces. It
was mainly because they didn’t know anything.
Old Madam Wickam had a suspicious expression. “What does he want you to do with them?”
“He wants us to put them away. We don’t know about the specifics…”
Julia nodded. “Alright. Put them away.”
The two female servants responded and started to pack.
Julia held Elisa’s hand. “Girl, let’s go.”
Elisa smiled and nodded. “Okay.”
When the two returned to the villa, Elisa smiled and got up. “It’s late, Grandma. I should be leaving.”
“Leaving? You haven’t had dinner. Why are you leaving? Have dinner first!” Julia’s eyes were filled with disapproval.
When Elisa and Gareth arrived, they hadn’t eaten. After Elisa brought up the matter, Julia didn’t want her to feel
wronged. Hence, Julia made her grandson work before dinner as a punishment.
