No Chance of Remarriage Get Lost (Elisa) -
Chapter 803
Elisa was startled. She was slightly overwhelmed by the attention.
It was clear from her expression that she wasn’t used to it.
Is this Gareth?
She paused and said softly, “Anything is fine.”
Gareth frowned. He felt slightly restless, seeing how tough she was and how she didn’t rely on the people around
her.
He didn’t say anything and walked out before shutting the door to her room.
Thomas was in the living room and hadn’t left. He was still waiting for Gareth’s instructions.
Gareth walked to the couch and suddenly took out a cigarette.
Thomas was slightly startled. Mr. Wickam rarely smoked.
Gareth took out a lighter but suddenly stopped before he lit his cigarette. He put it down.
Thomas’ eyes flashed a little. Mr. Wickam must be worried that the smoke will enter Ms. Benett’s room and irritate
her.
Thomas looked down slightly and didn’t say a word.
Gareth said softly, “Prepare some supplements and arrange balanced meals for her. Go and ask Rachel what she
likes to eat.”
Thomas nodded. “Alright.”
After that, he walked out.
Gareth didn’t speak loudly. Elisa couldn’t hear him from her room.
After Thomas left, Gareth slowly started to feel jittery.
He didn’t know why, but when Elisa was hurt in that instant, the pit of his stomach ached. And there was a split
second where he panicked!
He feared she would be hurt again, so he didn’t leave her side.
He didn’t know why he was feeling such emotions.
Jeremy and Vincent’s voices played in his mind just as he thought about it.
‘Admit it. You like her.’
‘That’s right! How long do you want to act like you don’t like her? If you don’t like her, why do you always pay
attention to her? You even stopped her from being happy with another man. I think you’re jealous!’
‘Garry, don’t waste any more time. She’ll really give up on you after a long time.’
‘If things continue this way, you won’t be the only one suffering. I’m worried that if you continue being stubborn,
you will regret it for the rest of your life.’
…
Voices rang out in his head, one after another. Gareth grew more fidgety.
He got up and wanted to walk out, but when he thought of how Elisa was in her room, he sat down again in the end.
He was going to ask Rachel to come over but felt that she might cry and make a fuss or ask Elisa questions,
disturbing her rest. He finally decided to stay back.
But Elisa caused no trouble. She lay on the bed and didn’t make a fuss. There wasn’t a peep from her. From how
Gareth saw it, Elisa not disturbing anyone wasn’t good.
One hour later, Thomas sent food in, and Gareth took it from him before walking to Elisa’s room.
Elisa had only shut her eyes and wasn’t asleep. When she heard the noise, she slowly opened her eyes.
Gareth put the food on the bedside table. He glanced at her, and his voice was cold yet uncomfortable. “Eat
something before you sleep again.”
Only the heavens knew how he had been struggling with his emotions for the past hour. He didn’t believe that he
liked that woman.
Elisa had always been the object of his dislike. He was only taking care of her now because she was suitable. He
couldn’t bear to let such a talented woman lose her life.
That was all.
Elisa glanced at the icy Gareth, and her voice was calm. “Thank you. I can eat by myself.”
