Vincent sneered. “That’s right, you’re not interested. If you’re not interested, why were you so nervous just now? If

you’re not interested, why did you let Rachel go and take care of Elisa? You’re really putting on an act to seem

disinterested. You’re stubborn, yet you want to take care of her secretly. Do you think I’m a fool?”

At that moment, Vincent was slightly incensed because Gareth had gotten rid of Rachel. He was a little bothered

because many people could take care of Elisa. Why did it have to be Rachel?

Gareth’s sharp gaze fell on Vincent, and there was an intense annoyance deep in Gareth’s eyes.

But Vincent wasn’t afraid. He snorted coldly. “Stay the way you are! Stay single! You’re not worthy of Elisa!”

After that, Vincent didn’t want to speak to Gareth any longer. He turned and walked out.

He feared that he would start arguing with Gareth if he stayed on.

Gareth’s expression was cold. After Vincent left, he sat quietly on the couch alone. At that moment, he lit a

cigarette and puffed out rings of smoke.

But he was only halfway through his cigarette when he put it out. The restlessness in his eyes seemed to have

grown.

Vincent’s words seemed to have rooted themselves deeply in his mind. He couldn’t get rid of them and couldn’t

calm down.

Gareth’s brows furrowed tightly. Ultimately, he got up and stopped thinking about the chaos in his heart before

walking out.

At that time, Rachel was already in Elisa’s room.

Upon seeing Elisa lying on the bed and holding her cell phone in one hand, Rachel wrinkled her brows tightly. “Why

are you still playing with your phone if you’re injured?”

Although Gareth told her that Elisa’s left side was hurt, Rachel didn’t dare to snatch the cell phone from Elisa’s right

hand. She was afraid that Elisa would pull something and be in pain.

Elisa turned and looked at Rachel. “Did Vincent tell you?”

Rachel frowned. “Vincent knows about this?!”

Then why didn’t he tell her? Dang it!

Elisa was slightly astonished. If Vincent hadn’t told Rachel, how did she know? Elisa had gone on Twitter, and

everything was normal. No one had spread the news about her being injured. There were only pictures of them on

their inspection.

“Then how did you know?”

“Gareth told me.” Rachel didn’t think much of it. She looked at Elisa and said, “How are you feeling now? Does

anything hurt? Do you need me to do anything for you? That’s right, have you eaten?”

Elisa’s eyes flashed before she smiled and shook her head. “You don’t have to worry about me. It’s a minor injury,

and it doesn’t hurt much. I just ate.”

“I’ll come over the next time you need to change your bandages. I’m going to take care of you for the next few

days. I want to see if this is really a minor injury! You’ve always had a high pain tolerance!”

Elisa’s lips twitched. “I’m fine.”

“What nonsense! If it hurts, you have to tell me! I won’t laugh at you!”

“It really doesn’t hurt that much. Everything is fine.”

“Never mind. Just rest. I’ll stay with you. Stop playing with your cell phone. Your body is weak, and you should be

sleeping to recuperate. I’m going to stare at you until you fall asleep!”

Rachel thought of asking Elisa what had happened, but she didn’t want Elisa to talk too much. She would ask Elisa

tomorrow.

Elisa knew that with Rachel around, she couldn’t do anything else. She shut her eyes and ended up sleeping for two

hours.

When she woke up, Rachel opened the door and walked in with an herbal tonic.
