Chapter 949 Anonymous Voting

Even a few of Norman's supporters supported voting, mocking him for being at fault in this matter.

Argh…

I never knew these people had so many complaints against me!

They never dared to say anything before, but Elisa's words caused these people to show their true colors!

Norman and Linda tried to replace a way to delay voting. However, James would never give them a chance.

He pulled out from his bag a stack of rectangular cards around the size of name cards.

"Everyone, I have prepared these cards. Each card is written with Mr. Benett and Liz's names. To vote, all you have

to do is tick before the name of your chosen candidate. This is to allow everyone to vote anonymously and ensure

fairness."

Norman's supporters secretly breathed a sigh of relief. They were in favor of voting anonymously.

Before this, they were troubled about how they should vote. Everyone wished to vote for Elisa.

After all, Elisa would bring high profits to the company. However, they had been supporting Norman for a long time

and were afraid of the consequences.

They feared Norman would cause them trouble if he found out they voted for Elisa.

If Norman was still the chairman after this, those who voted against him could no longer remain in the company.

Even if Norman was voted out of the chairman position, he still had deep connections within the company.

Therefore, he would make their life difficult no matter the result.

James stood up and distributed the cards. Only Norman and Elisa were not given the right to vote.

Norman saw everyone take their pens to vote and said through gritted teeth, "You… How dare you do this to me?"

"It's only voting. I don't think you will lose to a young lady. I will vote for you, Mr. Benett!" The person immediately

drew a tick before Norman's name.

However, that did not calm Norman. He secretly scolded the idiot in his mind.

He knew people would still vote no matter what he said, and he would lose.

D*mn it! D*mn it!

I will never forgive these people! Never!

James returned to his seat and smiled at everyone. "All right, let's begin voting."

"Sure."

Some shareholders were indecisive over whom to vote while others decisively ticked a candidate's name.

Once everyone finished voting, James stood up and said, "Please give your cards to me."

Everyone returned the cards to James. Then, James gave them to Jessie to record the cards and project them onto

the screen. This allowed everyone to read what was written on the cards.

"I will now process the votes."

Everyone focused on the screen and watched James stack votes to Elisa and Norman separately. They could see

that Elisa's stack was twice as high as Norman's.

Furthermore, they witnessed the whole vote-counting process and could replace no issue with it.

However, for fairness, James smiled and said, "I will now count the number of votes."

Then, he took one of the votes for Elisa and said, "I'll count Elisa's first. One, two, three…"

Whenever he counted a vote, he showed everyone that there was a tick before Elisa's name on the card.
