memories seemed to freeze on the day I saw Melissa in the hospital. I couldn't deny that I still loved her.

Noticing my distraction, Swan assumed I was still lost in thoughts of Melissa.

He took a deep breath and spoke earnestly to me.

"Enough! Bro, stop thinking about Melissa. It's perfectly normal for a captive to fall in love with another man. Right now, she probably only has eyes for that dark Alpha. That guy will express his love and care for her, making her feel safe. In such an environment, who wouldn't feel loved?"
