Chapter 107

The cells were bare except for the back one the guys had the guy in. He didn't look like they beat him up or even try to scare him. He was chained to a chair but loosely while he had a huge burger in his hands as he stuffed his face. It looked like he had a large shake and fry beside him. I was completely lost wondering if I had entered the twilight zone. "What is going on here?" I slowly stepped into the cell having the warrior on duty lock it behind me. "Not saying it isn't as nice change but my brain has been turned around enough lately."

Leo chuckled. "Well, our mate brought us nice and chatty traitor. He asked for a meal since he knew we were going to kill him regardless which stumped the heck out of Lucas."

"It did not. I can be nice and get answers." Lucas growled pouting as he stood in the far corner with his arms crossed and body tense.

"He is nice enough so we decided to be nice. He answered all our questions and even gave us details on things we didn't think to ask." Duncan shrugged. He had moved from his seat by Leo to stand against the wall beside it. "Have a seat. We have need of our Luna." "Ok..." I asked worriedly. "If you already got the answers you were looking for what do you need me for? I am ok with missing you kill someone. I have burial preparations to start with Cass."

"No, you aren't here to watch anyone die. You have had enough of that the past few months since arriving here." Duncan stated leaving no room to argue.

"We need you to use your lie detector ability to double check the truth on his answers. He has been nice and forthcoming but sometimes that isn't the best case either." Lucas shook his head. "We have been down this road a few times."

"Ok." I nodded and turned back toward the prisoner as he finished up his food. "Let's start out easy to get a feel on how truthful you are on big or small things."

"You betcha. I am ready." He wiped the crumbs off his hands and gave me his full attention.

He seemed relaxed and calm but his aura read that he was upset. Between the pinks, greens, and a bit of yellow it felt like he was good pretender but was only half pretending here.

"What is your name?"

"That isn't what we need to know. I can tell you the questions we asked." Leo interrupted as he put his hand on my arm like a child he was gently shushing.

I turned my head toward him with a glare. "I know what! am doing. When I need you to ask the questions I will. K?" I said the K sarcastically before turning my head back to the prisoner. "Please answer."

"My name is Jeffrey but everyone calls me Big J."

"Truth. Nice to see we have an honest Rogue, Jeffrey."

"Nice to meet ya, Luna." He bowed slightly.

"Ok, now you can ask your questions again." I gave Leo a side look hoping he understand that I was not in the mood.

I was tired, sad, hungry, and in need of a cuddle pile.

"Who hired you and the rest of the rogues to attack the Luna and other pack members?" Leo pushed play on his tape recorder. "And who knew where they were going to be?

"Well like I answered earlier Alpha Leo and his sidekick, Dylan, hired us to kill the Luna along with Lindy, Lydia, and Olivia. Leo said no one escapes his pack unless its through death." Big J's face finally got serious. "Dylan just want you dead, Luna. He said you killed his wife and son for no reason and he didn't have the energy to waste on you. He needs revenge before he helps take out our problem King."

It didn't even shock me that it was them two causing the problems. I just had to wonder why the Luna wasn't in on it.

She was normally the one to come up with some of the stupidest and most dangerous things for pack members to handle. She would never get her hands dirty but hiring rogues for everything isn't something I would put past her. "Well, Baby?" Duncan asked breaking me out of my own thoughts.

"Truth." I could feel the guys relief. I felt it myself. "What about the Luna? She wasn't apart of this?"

Big J chuckled. "Oh she was there but neither of the guys would let her speak. He riled her up until she couldn't take it and left. The Alpha didn't even notice."

"Huh, well good. The only thing she spouts is stupidity and venom." I looked at Leo and nodded for him to continue.

"Tell us what you know about an incoming attack like when will it happen and where." Leo had his notebook out checking off the questions as he asked them for a second time.

He took a moment before replying. His aura turned bright red for a split second before turning back to the normal since he had been captured. I guess he thought about lying.

"I saw that, Jeffrey. Let's keep it honest or that burger might have to come back up with some pain as the side." I warned him.

He nodded. "My bad. Let me try that again." He rubbed his neck like he was stressed. "This is a hard question to answer since they didn't give us all the information and a lot of it sounded like absolute crap."

"Just tell us." Lucas yelled moving from his corner to standing behind Leo but only because he had been stopped by Leo grabbing a hold of his legs.

"In a weeks' time they will be attacking three different packs that would ally with the royals. Yours being one of them. Dylan said he would leading the attack on this one.

The rest of their allies and followers should already be joining them for last minute prep." He threw his hands out and shrugged. "That's all I know."

I growled already knowing he was lying before his aura blazed red. "You're lying. You know more!"

His innocent expression dropped being replaced by a sinister smirk. "I know I was buying time for a few friends to make their way here. I have no plans on being here when the attack happens." "Boom!" An explosion sounded blocking off any response we could have had.

We are under attack!' A link rang out among everyone.

I want warriors around and in the prison. They are here for this asshat and I plan on smashing his face in after we take them out!' I linked Cass as we all ran out locking Big J in.

You got it but promise I can be there.' Cass linked back cutting off the guys from yelling at me to run to safety.

'Deal.' I turned back to my mates without stopping. "I am helping and you can shut the hell up." I would be paying for that later
