Once Rejected, Thrice Accepted -
Chapter 57
Waking up on the floor was not the ideal way for my body to sleep or try to sit up from. My back was throbbing with my bladder screaming at me and that was not the wake up call I wanted. Seeing Olivia asleep with her hand in the popcorn next to me almost made
up for it. That decision would have to wait until after I made it to the bathroom.
After a dash to the bathroom where I almost slid off the seat and dripped water from washing my hands all the way back to the kitchen, I got to work on making the biggest cup of coffee for both of us. Now that I was somewhere I was cherished I had been able to try out all the different coffee creamers and it was the highlight of my mornings after being woken up with a smile and a blush.
"Damnit!" Someone yelled from the front porch. It sounded like a pissed off Draco.
"What the..." I whispered to myself finishing off my coffee after saving my almost dropped creamer. Draco would have been even more pissed about having to make a store run this early. "Its barely six am and they are having a whole a*s conversation outside." As I got closer, I started to hear my mates along with Charles and Jackson. They weren't here, were they? What in the absolute freak is going on?
"No, she is asleep with Olivia, her so called friend." Lucas replied to whoever. "I don't believe she has changed back to being on our girls' side." Moonlight liked being called their girl but that was all she appreciated from his reply. I agreed with her.
"Stop it, Lucas. You heard what she said about them having no deceit in their heart when speaking." Leo stuck up for me. "I believe they were telling the truth and I have all the faith in the world in her powers but that doesn't mean they were keeping some things to themselves."
"I told you everything. Please." Sounded like a wounded Tiberius. "Please tell me what we are going to do for my mate."
"I vote we let her stay there. Make him pay for being a traitor to your pack." Jackson growled from somewhere. I couldn't see him but I did see a phone sitting on the table in front of the guys so he must be on speaker along with Gramps.
I pushed the door open and leaned against the frame sipping my coffee while they picked their mouths up from the ground. Jackson and Charles both asked what was going on or if they were still there.
"Go ahead and answer 'em. I can wait." I hissed keeping my eyes on all of them and the guards they had around the front of the house. I had to assume they were all the way around since they didn't trust Olivia or if my powers were strong enough to read someone correctly.
"Shit. I did not mean for you to hear that." Jackson explained honestly. "I know she was your friend and all."
"Is." I corrected him. "She is my friend, and we will be saving her. I can do it with or without all of you. It would actually be easier since I am smaller and know all the hiding spots, but I gave you the benefit of the doubt to help me. Don't make me regret it." Lucas turned away from me with his shoulders hunched and fists clenched so tight they were white. I could feel his anger and loss of control radiating off him but I wasn't backing down. I meant what I said. "You wouldn't go without us!" Leo exclaimed sounding shocked I even mentioned it.
"I would." I took a sip of my coffee watching all their faces. "Tiberius, if your mate was somewhere safe even if it wasn't here would you betray the pack in any way?"
"No. Never. I just..." He dropped his head. "It was my fault. It is my fault they have her and she is going through all that pain. I couldn't keep my drunk mouth shut. I have to get her free even if it kills me."
"I get it. I am with you." I nodded my head toward him. "Jackson, Charles, you don't have to be involved. Either my mates are with me, or I am alone. Either way I am going to get her back. Olivia and I made a map of all the spots we used to get in and out minus a few only I would fit in which wouldn't be of use in a group rescue. We gonna make a plan together or are you going to continue to make life choices for me?"
"Fuck." Jackson growled through the phone getting a laugh from Charles.
"I am on your side, my strong warrior." Charles stated leaving the guys surprised. "I don't agree with trusting Olivia or Tiberius but I trust in your powers. Doesn't mean we can't smack them around a little for being stupid in their actions!" "Agreed." I shouted over everyone as they started to argue.
They didn't hear me so I just let them argue back and forth. Sometimes men only think with their small head and he was never the right choice. One day they would know to just listen and talk everything out. For now I was going to ignore them and make my own decisions.
'Hey Cherry! You and Britt want to go on a run with Olivia and I?' I linked her as I walked back into the living room replaceing Olivia awake with tears going down her face.
"Go on a run? Moonlight really misses your wolf, Sunflower."
"Yes, please." She sniffled slowly, standing up. "I know I made mistakes in the past and I am so sorry for not realizing mates weren't everything. I want to make up for it. I am on your side. Do what you need to do to trust me. Keep me in the dungeons under lock and key until you can trust me. Feed me wolfsbane to keep me weak. Whatever. I have to make up for what I have done."
I nodded. "You will when you help me get Lindy and take down our old pack. I will even let you kill Shane after you reject his sorry ass. For now, let's have you meet two important people and give our wolves time together."
'We are down. Meet you at the edge of the woods by your house!' Cherry replied cheerfully.
'Heck ya. Olivia is joining us. She hasn't lied yet and I want you to meet her. I am hoping one day she will be trusted enough to be in our group. She can be a hoot!
'Sounds like a plan.' I was more than ready for a race and a kill.
I grabbed Olivia and snuck out the back with her. I knew the guards would instantly tell the guys, but I was sick of communication everything and only got a portion of the same respect back. Relationships were hard and with four of us it felt even harder on some days. Hopefully, those days would become less and less as the years go by. "Wait, Luna. The Alphas are on their way." One of the guards shouted as we ran past him.
"They better start running because I am in need of speed and a good kill." I shouted back, giggling, before shifting into Moonlight. I felt Olivia shift with me and the happiness from Moonlight when she saw her friend for the first time in forever. This was going to be fun.
