Chapter 58

"My deer was the biggest!" Britt gloated running backwards in front of Cherry and I. "Yea, Yea. Keep bragging." Cherry scoffed teasingly. "Next time I won't go so nice on you."

"You are so full of crap! I can't wait to tell everyone I beat the Luna and Cherry, one of the top female warriors, on taking down the biggest deer." She looked at Olivia with a small smile. "I don't know you well enough to give you crap but you stick around long enough and I will be adding you to my list."

Olivia giggled. "I will keep that in mind. I plan on being around for a long time if your sister and her mates let me." Like a dork my lips turned into the biggest smile. Now to get Lindy and add both of them to my current friend group making it a perfect mix of fierce females.

"One of our top warriors huh?" I side eyed her as she avoided looking at me. "It seems we don't know much about you. Let's change that and hear some of your story."

"There isn't much to tell." She shrugged looking back at the guys. "You think they can handle carrying those deer by themselves?"

I laughed following her eyesight to see Leo and Lucas carrying Britts deer arguing via mind link by the look of their glares at each other. Behind them were the guards carrying Cherry's deer silently with blank faces. Duncan and Draco on the other hand, were loudly giving each other shit as they carried my and Olivia's kills. Mine wasn't as big as the other twos but he wasn't my only kill. Moonlight had a thing for rabbits, and she got her fill before taking down the nearest deer to bring back to the pack. "They will be fine. Let them handle it and you talk to me. I need something to keep my mind busy." I pouted pleading with her.

"Olivia would love to hear someone else's story other than her own or mine. We are over our negative past." Olivia nodded in agreement.

"Only if I hear your stories later on." We nodded and waited for her to continue. "It isn't a very interesting story. I was a nurse at another pack a few years ago. The pack I grew up in with my family and friends still there. Everything was great until a few visitors came to speak with our Alpha and help train some of our warriors."

"Hey, Gemma-" Leo yelled but shut up when I turned toward him with a glare. "Let's talk later."

I nodded and turned back toward a smiling group of girls. "What? I was into the story. Please continue."

"One of the visitors was the trainer for the pack near us and he ended up being my mate." She smiled as tears ran down her face. "He wanted to move to our pack since I was a nurse and those are on short supply versus warriors. He was the most handsome guy I had ever seen and his spicy coffee scent would make my wolf go crazy."

She laughed and wiped away a tear. She continued on telling us how they had everything planned out and they had already marked and mated each other by the end of the second night. They hadn't told anyone they were mates since she just wanted time together. Normally replaceing someone's mate is a big deal and there would be a big fuss about it making it impossible to be together.

Explaining this Britt nodded saying it was the same in most packs which is crazy because newly mated couples are very sensitive to anything that could threaten their bond and just need left alone.

"But it all crumbled when we had a meeting with this Alpha and mine." She stopped facing away from us just as we hit the edge of the forest. "It seemed his Alpha already had him picked out for his daughter who hadn't found her mate even thought she was 26. My Mate, Justin, was 23. Justin explained that he found his fated mate and introduced me. We explained we already marked and mated knowing we were meant to be by the goddess herself. My Alpha was happy for me. His lost it."

'Head back with the meat. This is a conversation between girls.' I linked the guys as I put my arm around her shoulders. 'The guards can see us from our house so we are fine. Please ask the cooking staff to make some venison stew tonight with the deer. Cherry's wolf mentioned it a few times as we stalked our prey!

Britt followed my lead and hugged her from the other side as the guys walked on with sadness in their eyes. I couldn't tell if it was because of Cherry's story or that I threatened to save my friend myself. Either way I would replace out later.

"What happened next?" Olivia asked quietly stepping closer but not close enough to touch her. She was still a bit unsure about everything.

"His Alpha had already told his daughter of his plan and she was excited. She had always had a crush on Justin. He told Justin he either broke it off with me and went to through with the rejection ritual for a marked mate or he was a rogue." Her fists clenched as she squeezed her face tight. "Justin chose rogue so the Alpha kicked him of the pack. He told my Alpha he would start a way with him if he let him into the pack and I couldn't let him do that. The pack was so small. So we both went rogue."

She turned back to us with a half-smile. "For two years things were great. It was a bit rough being a rogue but I worked in a small human town as a nurse for a small doctors office and he worked as an accountant. He actually met Tiberius there and introduced us. He invited us to join this pack after getting the ok from the Alphas but on our way back we accidently went through his old pack lands."

"They attacked, didn't they?" Olivia gasped.

"They did. They grabbed Tiberius and me to hold us back as he let his daughter kill him." Her eyes met mine with rage in them. "And then I broke lose and killed his daughter. Leo and Lucas saw the whole thing, so they handled the Alpha. They still let me join even though I didn't give them all the details. Tiberius trusted me and in time they all started to. One day I am going to go back to that pack and kill the Alpha."

"And we will be going with you." I told her. "Maybe once he is dead his pack would like to be on our side in all this."

"We should see about going there soon and you can just challenge him. Then you can pick who would be Alpha or take over for yourself." Olivia shrugged. "That is what I would do. That would be the real revenge." Cherry smiled evilly. "Yes, please."

"After we get Lindy out and back here. After that I say let's do it." They all nodded.

We all ran toward our house where we saw my mates had just arrived back home. I was all in for this. Get some of my own rage out while helping a friend after helping another friend.
