Chapter 26 Athena's

POV

It doesn't take us long to eventually approach the ballroom as music slowly rised to greet us. The moment we arrive my eyes began searching for them. My handsome mates. Swallowing my fears. we move to enter my heart racing at the speed of light. "Relax" whispers Emma, who must have known I was nervous. "Sorry" I mutter as I glance at her. "It's okay to be nervous, just try to relax, your hearts racing" Emma admits softly as she gently. takes my hand in hers. "I'll try, thanks" I say as I move to do just that until suddenly I feel it. The tug of the mate bond allowed my eyes to move in the direction it was coming from only to see my mates talking to that of another female, her back to me and preventing me from seeing her face. "Who's that?" I whisper suddenly, curious. "Hm? Oh that's Alpha Haye, she's the heir to the Dark Moon Pack" answers Emily who seemed to know who she was, her eyes looking for her mate. "Alpha huh?" I whisper my eyes now on Eros

seeing my mates with another I begin to feel jealous, trying to keep myself from making a scene, that is until their attention turns to me and allowing me to see their stun looks making me blush. "They like' purrs Artemis, excited.

"Agreed' I say to her as I continue to watch them, noticing that they excuse themselves before making their way towards me. Once close do they speak up. "Beautiful" whispers Ares with a smile. "Absolutely stunning" replies Eros as both take a hand and place a sweet yet gentle kiss upon it.

"Thank you" I blush. "You're both handsome as well".

"But you, our beautiful mate, outshine everyone" whispers Ares as he moves to pull me into his embrace, sealing our lips with a kiss. Surprised, I blink before a soft moan rises, my body enjoying the kiss. Although sweet, the kiss was all too short for my liking. That was until Eros turned my face to his and he too kissed my lips. "Heaven" purrs Artemis happily. Moaning, I can't help but agree, unaware that Emta and Emily had returned to their mates leaving me alone with just mine. Sharing another kiss, Eros eventually moves to pull away, a smile. now on tus lips. "Later love, soon you'll be moaning for much more than a kiss" he whispers Chapter 26

making my face turn red as I move to duck my face against Ares who all but chuckles.

"He's not wrong love" whispers Ares, his hand moving towards the small of my back. "Come let us dance" and then, before I can reply, I feel Ares swiftly lead me out towards the dance floor for a dance, making me panic in protest. 'I whispered to him, once we were on the dance floor. "I can't dance".

Blinking, he takes a second to realize my words before smiling once again. "Don't worry love, just follow my lead" and then as if my lack of dancing skills didn't matter he slowly began to lead me in a dance, unaware of hateful eyes watching my every move as we did. "Just who does that little whore think she is" mutters Diana angrily as she continues to stand off to the side, keeping her presence hidden. "First Jacob, now the Alpha twins? Why does the Moon Goddess favor her above everything". "Relax, after tonight those two won't ever want her for a Luna" replies Brian as he stands next to his sister, his eyes watching Athena dance as well.

"What do you mean?" asks Diana curiously, her eyes never once leaving Athena's presence.

You'll see I see" smirks Brian as he moves to replace Shane and David. Watching him leave, Diana turns her focus back to Athena, rage building "Your going to cause a scene' warns Winter.

Not unless I act out in which I have no intentions of doing' replies Diana to her wolf, unaware that Jacob had too caught sight of Athena dancing with Ares and began seething as well, his fists clenched tight as he fought to stay in control. Who does she think she is? growls Jacob's mind as he watches his ex-mate. There's no way that the Moon Goddess blessed her with two second chance mates, she's MINE! Fighting to stay in control, Jacob continued to watch, thinking of all the ways he would deal with Athena as she was originally his and only he could have her.

"Did I ever tell you that you're beautiful" whispers Ares, as they continued to dance, Athena held snugly within his embrace. "Yes, at least three times today" giggles Athena, a blush now staining her cheeks.

"Well it's the truth" is all Ares says just as the music ends and another slowly begins. "But, I'm afraid this is where I must leave you for now love" replies Ares as he moves to kiss me only to pass me over to Eros who had approached us, taking up his brother's spot. 2/4 19 Thu, Oct 31 Au

"Mmm, hello love" purrs Eros, a smile on his lips as he moves to hold me. "Hello" I giggle again. 19%0

"Are you ready?" asks Eros just as I nod, indicating to him that I was. Smiling, he too begins to move me around the room, always leading while others occasionally watch us as we dance. -1 Hour Later-

It doesn't take for the song to finally end and for me and Eros to stop, his eyes gazing at me the entire time as he keeps his arms around me.

a drink?" asks Eros, his eyes never leaving mine. "Sure" I tell him with a smile, my cheeks flushed as he moves to lead us towards the tables that I had setup before the ball and that now housing drinks for all its guests.

Upon reaching the tables, Eros carefully moves to hand me a drink before taking one for himself before leading us off to the side and where we could be alone for that moment. "You danced beautifully love" smiles Eros, his hand moving to cup my cheek. "T-Thank you" I murmur, blush rising as my body leans into his touch. Lost in the moment, neither Eros or myself realized the situation we were about to be in until it's all too late.

"GET AWAY FROM HER" roars a voice, a voice that I now knew belonged to Jacob as he suddenly yanks me away from Eros, my drink falling to the floor with a thud, the force startling.

"Wha- Jacob? Let me go" I ordered him, unsure why he was acting like this, when he rejected me a year ago to be with Diana, so what was his goal now.

Her. Go" growls Eros, Deimos rising to the surface but not enough to draw attention to us

"NO! She was mine first. The Moon Goddess gave her to ME" growls Jacob his grip tightening, causing me to wince as I knew there would be a bruise there later. "WAS... Clearly you didn't want her as the Goddess gave her to me and my brother" snaps Eros, his eyes now focused on Jacob.

"She'll NEVER be yours, Especially if I have anything to say in the matter" growls Jacob again, pulling me closer to his body as his eyes continue to watch Eros.

"I'll ask you again pup... let my mate go" glares Eros, unaware we were now drawing attention to us the louder he and Jacob got.

Just then, someone else approaches the scene and clocks Jacob right in the jaw, causing him to release me as he stumbles backwards, the owner of said punch pulling me to them. "I believe brother asked you to let OUR mate go" growls Ares, Zeus shining bright within his eyes, as his arms hold me gently as Eros moves to flank his right. "Butt OUT" snaps Jacob just as he moves to reach for me again only for Ares to growl protectively, daring him to try again.

"What is the meaning of this?" roars Beta Collins voice as he marches over to us. "They're trying to take what's rightfully mine" remarks Jacob as he looks to his father's Beta. "Who?" asks Collin, his eyes moving to see who he was referring to only to glare at me when he spots me. "YOU?! Why must you always create a problem you worthless child?" growls Collin, his voice making me flinch.

"How. Dare. You" growls Ares, as he holds me protectively. "Who gives you that right to speak like that to our mate?"

"Son, I'm Beta of this pack and you, a mere guest. Athena is my niece and so shall be punished by her Alpha and family" remarks Collin with a glare, his attention still focused on me.

"To hell you will" growls Eros, just as Kai and the others finally arrive.

"Alpha's" exclaimed Kai once they approached them.

"Pack up, we're leaving! Our mate is no longer a part of this pack" orders Eros just as he moves to lead me away only to be shoved as Jacob rushes him, punching him dead square in the face as he knocks him into Ares and me to stumble away. 'EROS!" I cried out, alarmed that things were escalating and fast.
