"EROS!" screams Athena, as she watches her mate get attacked by her ex-mate, Jacob. As the scuffle between Alpha's begins, and Kai and the others are distracted, no one seems to notice a rather large group of people as they begin to form all around, all pushing and shoving to watch only to end up pushing Athena further and further away from her mates. "Hey, Wait! Stop!" cries Athena, startled as she's jostled like a rag doll until suddenly she's left alone from everyone else.

"ARES! EROS" shouts Athena, all the while trying to catch their attention only to fail as they continue to fight with Jacob. "KAI!" yells Athena, hoping to catch at least the Beta's attention only for it to fall on deaf ears until she was yanked by a rather large hand. "LET GO!" exclaims Athena, as she tries to free herself. "Sorry Princess, but we own you" chuckles Shane as he continues to hold her by the arm making her freeze as he attempts to pull her from the room. NO! come Athena's panic thoughts.

"Now come along" is Shane's only reply as he continues to lead her further away. "NO! Please" begs Athena, who didn't want to go with him as she tries to free herself only to hear a roar as someone else yanks her back, strong arms wrapping around her waist as they did.. "MINE!" roars Ares, a death glare making itself known as he moves to hold Athena, his focus now on Shane who just had his hands all over her seconds before. "She's Mine". "Whoa, easy there" replies Shane, attempting to play nice. "I meant her no harm".

As if, scoffs Athena in her mind, her hands still clinging to Ares, her eyes never leaving Shane's as she looks for the hidden truth behind his words. Yep, I knew it.

Glaring, Ares never once takes his eyes off him. "Careful, people might get scared if you keep that up" chimes Shane, unphased by the growls or glares coming off Ares as they stood face to face with one another. "Like I care, stay away from her" threatens Ares. Frowning, Shane slowly begins to back down only for him to turn and walk away as if he was going to look for David or Brian. Once positive he was gone, does Ares finally relax his focus now on Athena and only her. "Are you okay love?" Yes"

whispers Athena, a little frightened by everything that's happened thus far.

Chapter 27 "Hey, shh, it's okay... I have you" murmurs Ares as he tries to sooth his mate. "Where's E-Eros?" whimpers Athena, now worried for her second mate. "He'll be here soon love, I promise. The Alpha eventually stepped in and scolded his son for his poor behavior along with his Beta" answers Ares.

Nodding, all she can do is trust him, for after all he was her mate. At the thought of being pushed and shoved and then almost taken by Shane, Athena wondered when she missed it, especially the Alpha of all people when he approached his son.

"Is she okay?" asks Eros, as he slowly approaches his brother.

"Ya, just shaken" answers Ares who was still holding their mate.

"I think it's time for us to go. This pack is nothing more than trouble and I don't like the way they treat our mate" growls Eros as he moves to touch Athena, her body welcoming the touch.

"Agreed, but first we need to talk to Alpha Paul, and see about taking Maya with us" whispers. Ares, wanting to surprise Athena with her only friend.

With a nod of his head, they decide to lead Athena back towards their room for the night, not wanting her to go home after that stunt with her Uncle, the ball now forgotten as Athena became. their only concern.

"Where am I going?" asks Athena, once she realized she was being led away from the ballroom. "Back to our room, love. Eros and I have something we need to discuss with Alpha Paul before we leave, but we want to make sure you're safe first" admits Ares as they continue to head for their room, unaware that Shane and David had been watching them, waiting till they could grab her

once more.

Upon returning, Ares, Eros and Athena all slowly approach the door that led to the room, Eros moving to open it before allowing Athena to enter, each of them following suit before moving to close the door behind them. "Have

Smiling, Ares and Eros move to kiss her softly. "Thank you, love, we'll be back as soon as we can' is all they say before moving to leave the room and heading straight for the Alpha's office, the office in which was probably still in use as the sound of yelling could be heard as the Alpha scolded his son. Chapter 27

Sighing, Athena moves to get comfortable, unaware that Shane and David would be visiting her soon. "So much for NOT causing a scene tonight. Why did Jacob have to get all possessive of me? It's been a whole year and he's never acted like this... could he be jealous?" wonders Athena, her body leaning back against the couch. "Maybe, but who knows" muses Artemis, wondering the exact same thing as well. Well, if he

is, he shouldn't be, he had Diana-' starts Athena only to hear the door to the room open and close, assuming it was just Kai and others returning like promised. "Kai? Lucas? Is that you?" calls Athena, her attention now focused on who had just entered the room. But when nobody answers, Athena begins to worry and slowly moves to stand, only to be greeted by rough hands as they yank her back down towards the couch, hands now resting on her shoulders as they did.

"Sorry Princess, no one here by that name" chuckles David, his grip on her tightening as he

continues to to hold her.

"NO... Let go" replies Athena as she tries to move only for Shane to straddle her lap, his body pinning both legs and arms as he did.

Shh..

No one needs to know, so long as you listen like a good little girl" smirks Shane as he moves to muffle her lips with a kiss, Athena thrashing as he did in an attempt to free herself.

No, not again, cries Athena's mind, praying that either Seth or Sam would walk through that door and save her. Whimpering, Athena can only squeeze her eyes shut when David moves to caress the upper half of her breast, the faint sound of a door opening and growling to be heard. "WHAT THE F***K! GET AWAY FROM OUR LUNA" yells Kai who just so happened to see the scene

before them. The others all catching Shane and David in the act, each of them touching their Luna without her consent.

"No, she's our property" growls Shane, about to go back to kissing her when he's suddenly yanked off her lap as well as David. "To hell she is" growls Kai, who was about to thrash Shane as Seth moves to handle David, Athena curling up on the couch as tears begin to fall, now thankful they had arrived when they did. "Let go of us,

Our Alpha will hear of this" shouts Shane, as he and David are forcefully thrown from the room.

"Oh ya? Try it. I'm sure the Alpha will love all the details, especially with how his new Gammal and Delta are treating the mate of the Mystic Shadow Packs Alpha's" growls Kai just as Lucas Chapter 27

moves to stand near the open door, waiting for the signal.

"If we EVER catch you near our Luna again, then I promise you, the next time won't be so easy" growls Seth with a glare, his eyes moving towards Lucas as he nods, Lucas moving to slam the door on their faces as he did before their attention returns to that of Athena. "You okay Athena?" asks Lucas, now worried for his Luna.

"Yes, thanks to you" admits Athena with a tear, her face damp from the tears.

"Thank the Goddess, glad we got to you in time then" sighs Sam, as they all move to sit down next to her, all very protective of her until their Alpha's return to be with her once more.
