Owned By Her Triplet Bullies -
(Bk 2) Chapter 6
Lexi's
POV
I sang along to the music blasting through my headphones as I sat at the bus stop. For the first time since I resumed school, I wasn't late to arrive at the bus stop. Maybe it was because I had something to look up to. The bus arrived and I got in. "Good morning," I greeted the driver politely, different from my usual yelling out 'mister please stop!'
He stared at me in surprise. "Miss? You arrived early today."
I nodded with a smile. "I sure did," I walked in and took a seat. Ever since I met Mady, my school life had taken a turn for the better. She showed me around and for once I had someone to talk to. She was bubbly, nice, and funny. The most amazing thing about her was that she didn't drool all over Mason and talk my ear off about him. For the first time ever, I met a girl who wasn't interested in him or his fan. Amazing right? I wanted to jump for joy when I realized that.
That fact alone made me like her more. We talked about meaningful and funny things about the school and ourselves, not meaningless people like Mason. The thought of him alone was leaving a bitter taste on the back of my tongue. I took in a deep breath to clear out Mason's thoughts. I smiled again and continued vibing to my music. We arrived at school on time and I walked out skipping my way into the hallway excitedly. I stopped abruptly when I saw a huge picture of him pasted right in front of the hallway. I sighed. Why did his face have to be the first thing I saw when I arrived? I decided to just ignore it and head to my locker since it had nothing to do with me anyway.
"What the hell!" I cursed when I saw the same picture in a smaller size this time around pasted right in front of my locker. So many things were written on it but due to my anger, I only saw 'Crescent high school pride' and something about a quiz. I glanced around angrily wondering who had the guts to ruin my locker.
"Who did this?" I asked out loud.
"We did," I heard a voice behind me. I hurriedly looked back to be met with the main four or whatever.
"You like it right?" Ana asked with a giggle. I stared at her furiously.
"What would I like about this?" I asked, pointing towards the picture aggressively.
"Everything," Evelyn drawled with a dreamy sigh. She was the one holding the pictures which meant she pasted it on my locker.
"It's Mason so who wouldn't like it? You don't need to thank us for this. You are the new student in school and we thought what better way to welcome you than this? We were asked to put only one of these up on the lockers which was why we picked yours. You are welcome," Mia said with a smile. These four would never learn no matter how hard I tried to explain to them. What better way to teach them a lesson than what I was about to do?
With a smile on my face and my gaze not leaving theirs, I slammed my hand right on the picture, removed it, and tore it into shreds furiously. I flipped the paper at them. They gasped in shock as they stared at the flying paper in the air.
"Does this much convey my feelings about how I really feel towards your prince charming?" I inquired, my voice sickly sweet.
"What on earth did you just do?" Carla screeched, hurriedly picking up the papers from the floor. The rest tried to catch the flying pieces.
"I warned you before, didn't I? I told you never to call his name in my presence and that warning included his face too. Why can't you just be his fans alone and leave me out of it?" I yelled angrily.
"You are just a bitter and angry girl, why would you do something like this?" Ana replied equally as angry.
"I'm not bitter nor angry. I'm doing it because I can and I will," I responded, folding my hands in front of me. Mia scoffed.
"I know why you are doing this. You are just jealous because he has everything you dream of having. A person of his caliber would surely have anti-fans too," Carla muttered.
"What? Anti-fan?" I asked with a frown.
"The good thing is you've finally gotten what you wanted. You are now officially Mason's anti-fan. The bad thing is you are the only one who doesn't like him. Look around you, every single person in this school adores him. Common girls, let's go and leave this bitter girl on her own. Her negative energy is getting to me," Ana said.
"Bye Anti-fan," they all chimed and sashayed away. Their heels clicked loudly behind them. True to their words, I glanced around and the students were fawning all over him. Some took pictures with it while some just stared at it dreamily. I scoffed in disbelief before storming off to class. The teacher was already present when I arrived. I apologized for being late before walking towards my seat. I looked towards Mady and she smiled at me. I forced a smile back.
"Are you okay?" she mouthed with a frown.
"Later," I mouthed back. She nodded in response. I couldn't wait for a lunch break so I could vent to Mady about this. I sat through the rest of the class with a frown etched on my face. After classes, I hurriedly picked up my books and walked toward Mady. "Hey, you look troubled. What's wrong?" she asked.
"Let's talk in the cafeteria," I replied. We linked arms and walked together. After getting our food, we took a seat at our usual table.
"What's with this school and fangirls?" I started. She chuckled.
"Is that what's gotten you upset? You should just ignore them. Don't let them get to you," she said.
"How can I ignore them when they keep getting on my nerves? They even labeled me an anti-fan," I scoffed.
"What?" she asked in surprise.
"I mean, is it bad to have my own opinion? I'm a different person entirely and so are they. We are allowed to have different likes and dislikes. So, why are they bugging me so much about him? Must I like him?" I asked again. I suddenly felt my stomach rumble. "Don't listen to them and who is this 'he' you keep talking about?" she inquired curiously. Speak of the devil and he appears. Mason appeared right on time.
"There he is," I pointed towards him. "I need to go to the restroom," I said and hurriedly left. I quickly walked to the restroom and eased myself. After that, I washed my hands and got out. Immediately I stepped out, I met with his face again. I groaned. "Moon goddess, why me? Why have you chosen to torture me?" I lamented.
"Why are you blaming the moon goddess over some photos? It's not like she placed them there," Darcey said.
"She didn't but she brought the person in it into my life. So, it's her fault. I was perfectly happy and contented with my life. Why did she have to give me a mate? I never asked for any of this," I replied.
"You do know that mates are the laws of nature right? We would have gotten a mate be it Mason or any other person. It's not something we can avoid forever," she explained.
"I can definitely avoid it forever. I never want to have a mate and that's final. The moon goddess can mate me with ten people if she deems fit but I will never accept any of them ever. My mind is made up and it can't be changed," I vowed. I started to make my way back into the cafeteria. I reached a bend and I glanced back unaware that someone was coming in that direction. I bumped into the person and slipped. I squealed with my eyes closed thinking I was going to crash on the tiled floors.
But, I didn't. Someone caught me. I held onto the person with my hands tightly. From his body structure, I could tell it was a boy. His body felt really warm and I resisted the urge to lean into him. As for his scent, he smelled so nice and masculine; woodsy and spicy. It felt like I was outside in nature, twirling around as I felt the wind on my hair...
"Are you okay?" he asked, jolting me out of my reverie. I snapped my eyes open and my gaze met with steely grey ones. It was him. Again. But, his hand...
Both our eyes widened in realization, one of his hands was cupping my b**t through my raised skirt. I screamed and pushed him away quickly. Both our expressions were in deep shock. W...where the hell did he just touch?
