Owned By Her Triplet Bullies
(Bk 2) Chapter 54

Lexi's POV

Everyone else was chatting excitedly while I had a gloomy expression on my face as I dragged my suitcase along with me to the airport. How did I agree to leave the peace and comfort of my home for this trip again? "When Mason asked you gently once," my inner voice replied. I sighed out of frustration.

"Let me help you," he said gently, trying to take the suitcase from me. Thought of the devil and he appeared.

"Thanks for the offer but I can carry it myself," I replied without looking at him. Who knew how else I might end up embarrassing myself?

"You are literally panting and sweaty. The poor suitcase is almost battered. Just give it to me," he replied, holding onto it. Although I was resisting, I was jubilating inside. My arm felt like it was going to fall off and I was glad he thought to help me. "If you insist," I replied, letting go of the suitcase.

"How about your sister? Won't you help me too?" Mady asked.

"Why would you need his help when I'm here? I can even carry you if you want," Torres replied with a smirk.

"Can your tiny muscles bear my weight?" she taunted passing her suitcase to him.

"Want to bet?" he inquired. I still couldn't get over the fact that I was in the same school with Torres and conversing with him. Interacting with him up close, I've realized he's just like any other normal kid. The only difference was that he was filthy rich. "Won't nobody help me with mine?" Rachel asked sweetly. I looked towards her and she was smiling up at Mason. Silence followed her request, but nobody replied to her. I guess they were still mad over the lies she told. "Mason?" she inquired. My ears perked up in anticipation.

"I'm holding two suitcases. Where do I place yours? And besides we are already at the checking point," he deadpanned.

"I'm sure Lexi wouldn't mind holding hers for a while. Right Lexi?" she asked. Why can't she just give up already? He rejected her in front of everybody yet she was still being so clingy. I was embarrassed on her behalf. Mady suddenly held onto my hand and started to speak to me. Mason and Torres also conversed behind us leaving Rachel all by herself. She walked behind them awkwardly.

"Are you excited?" Mady asked. I didn't want to ruin the mood so I nodded. I agreed to this and it was time for me to suck it up.

"Liar. Anyone can tell from the expression on your face but don't worry. You are going to instantly change your mind once we arrive. You will love it there," she assured me with a smile. I returned the smile as we stood in line with the other students to get checked in. Mady tugged at my arm pulling me to the back of the line.

"Why..," I started but she wouldn't let me speak. Why did she pull me to the back of the line when it was almost our turn? I thought in surprise. Mason and Torres also left their line and joined us. Okay, now I am confused. What were they doing? Rachel, who was way ahead of us, suddenly turned back when she realized what we were doing.

"Aren't you guys getting checked in?" she asked.

"Lexi is having a serious stomach ache. We will be there shortly. Go ahead," she responded. I glanced at her. Why was she lying and why were Mason and Torres not saying anything?

"Hurry up," she said. Mady nodded. She got in front of us and her passport was checked. After she was done, she disappeared from our sight.

"She's gone," Mady said. I turned towards her.

"Why did you lie? We would have been the ones at the front. You all are going to make us wait in line again," I said.

"We aren't going by airplane the other students are going with" she replied with a smile. I glanced at Mason and Torres to seek validation and they nodded.

"If we aren't going with them, how do we get there?" I asked in surprise.

"Follow us," Torres said. We headed towards the other direction. We walked till we stopped in front of an opulent airplane. Only that this one was empty. We were the only ones in front of it. A man wearing a suit suddenly approached us.

"Is everything ready?" Torres asked.

"Yes boss," he replied politely. He exchanged pleasantries with Mady and Mason. Torres handed over his car keys to him before he bowed and left. "Shall we?" Torres asked, walking in ahead of us.

"Isn't this private property? Are we allowed in? I don't want to have a criminal record," I said worriedly.

She chuckled. "We won't get arrested. It's private property but it's Torres's."

"W..what?" I stuttered, stopping abruptly. That came as a shocker. I knew Torres was filthy rich but I didn't know it was to this extent. This was crazy.

"Come on," Mady smiled, linking her arm with mine. We both got in with Mason right behind us. I gasped when I saw the interior decorations. Gleaming with polished metal and luxurious leather seats. The interior was adorned with elegant wood paneling and soft ambient lighting, creating an atmosphere of refinement. Every single thing screamed luxury. My phone suddenly rang. I glanced at it and it was Mum.

"I will be over there. Join me when you are done," Mady said, giving me some privacy. I nodded in response.

"Don't take too long," Mason muttered. I didn't know how to respond to him. I wasn't used to having small conversations with him without yelling or being rude. I didn't want to do any of that right now. I picked up the call instead.

"Hello Mum," I said. He took that as his cue to leave.

"How are you doing Lexi?" mum asked excitedly.

"I'm fine I guess," I replied. She personally packed my suitcase and made me get ready on time. She was more excited about this trip than I was.

"Make sure you have lots of fun. Don't sulk in a corner all alone," she warned. I rolled my eyes.

"Give me the phone," I heard my father say.

"Hello princess," he said.

"Hi Dad," I replied with a smile.

"How is it going? Are you okay? Do you need more money? Are you uncomfortable?" he asked curiously.

"Why are you asking her all these questions? At this rate you are going to make her run back home," Mum whispered to him but I heard her.

"I feel some type of way, Dad. Like I'm out of place..."

"Lexi? Are you still there? Hello? He..llo?" Mum inquired about her voice breaking.

"Hello, mum?" I replied but I suddenly heard a loud beep signaling the call had disconnected. Why do I feel like she did that on purpose? I glanced around awkwardly. I could hear Mady and Torres laughing about something. I didn't want to intrude and appear clingy.

"Hey," Mason said, coming towards me. I stared at him without responding.

"I couldn't help but overhear your conversation," he said.

"You eavesdropped on me?" I asked with a frown.

"You were very loud. I have sensitive ears," he responded.

"Your point is?" I asked.

"Have we ever made you feel out of place? If we have, don't hesitate to tell me," he asked in a serious tone. He must have heard when I said I felt out of place. I heard Mady's bubbly laughter again. How could I have forgotten? They weren't like other rich kids. All Mady has ever done was try to make me feel comfortable.

"All this must be new and overwhelming for you I know but don't view us with what we have. Forget all this. We are just like you," he said. I nodded.

"After you," he said, gesturing towards the seats where Mady and Torres were sitting.

"Lexi, over here," she said. I settled on the plush seat beside her, each one more extravagant than the last. We took off and after a while, air hostesses, dressed in chic uniforms suddenly approached us. Each air hostess offered a different culinary experience, highlighting Torres's commitment to luxury. The first air hostess presents a silver tray with a selection of gourmet hors d'oeuvres, featuring caviar and smoked salmon, paired with a glass of fine champagne.

The second air hostess served a sumptuous three-course meal, starting with a creamy lobster bisque, followed by a perfectly cooked filet mignon, and ending with a decadent chocolate soufflé. The third air hostess offered a sushi and sashimi platter, showcasing the freshest ingredients from around the world.

The fourth air hostess served us with a dessert cart filled with exquisite pastries, macarons, and a variety of artisanal cheeses. I gasped at the mouth-watering dishes in shock. Who was going to eat all this? I suddenly remembered someone. "How about Rachel?" I asked.

"That's her punishment for lying. Forget about her and enjoy these dishes. You need to try every one of them," she said pointing towards each dish excitedly as the air hostesses served us. This trip might not be such a bad idea at all.
