Owned By Her Triplet Bullies
(Bk 2) Chapter 61

Mason's

POV

It's been two days since Lexi and I kissed in the maze. Two days of confusion and pure t*****e. To crown it all she had avoided me like a plague. We've had so many activities these past two days but she has avoided me in every single one. Whenever I tried to talk to her, she would make up an excuse to run away without looking at me. This was all so confusing. I've been trying to figure out what happened between us but I couldn't come up with any reasonable explanation. Solving a mathematical problem wasn't as complex as this. I groaned out of frustration. "This is the fourth time you are groaning in one minute. What's going on?" Torres asked. It was evening and we were both currently in our room resting after the day's activity of a game of volleyball between both schools. "Really?" I asked. He could also notice something was wrong with me?.

"You've not been acting like yourself since we got back," he replied. "I'm fine," I muttered.

"You are not. You've been groaning and sighing. Tell me what's wrong. Who knows? I might be of help," he said. I stared at him for a while contemplating if I should tell him about Lexi or not. What was I even going to say?. "Well," he probed.

"It's nothing. I'm just having a bad day," I replied.

"Is it about a girl?" he asked skeptically. I glanced towards him sharply.

"I am right. It is about a girl," he said with a smirk.

"Even if it was because of a girl, you are the last person I would take advice from," I deadpanned.

He gasped. "That was harsh."

"The harsh truth." I replied. He shook his head at me and layed back down with a sigh.

"I'm so bored. All I want to do right now is drink and party till tomorrow. I miss that right now. Don't you?" he asked me.

"I don't," I responded curtly.

"I almost forgot you were a party pooper. I miss partying so much," he declared. His phone suddenly rang and he picked it up.

"He's here," he mumbled. He quickly sprang up from the bed excitedly. I looked towards him wondering what he heard that was getting him so excited. He dropped his phone after hanging up. "Get up," he ordered.

"All of a sudden? Why?" I asked curiously.

"Mady just called. There's a party organized by some of the students. It's as if she read my mind..."

"I'm not going. You can go alone with her," I replied, cutting him off. I knew whatever party they would be going to, Mady would be safe with him. Besides, I had far more important things to figure out... "Suit yourself then. I'm sure Mady, Lexi and I would have so much fun..."

"What did you just say?" I asked in surprise. Lexi was going for a party after ignoring me all this while? She was going out to have fun leaving me in constant worry?.

"I said we are going to have fun..."

"Mady and Lexi are going for which party? Where?" I inquired impatiently.

"She said it was at a popular club downtown," he replied skeptically. I hurriedly got up and grabbed my shoes. I was holding the door knob when I realized he wasn't coming behind me.

"What are you waiting for?" I asked turning around to look at him.

"You want to go to a club?" he asked slowly like he couldn't believe the words were actually coming out from his mouth.

"Hurry up and come out. You are driving," I said to him and walked out of the door. I didn't care where the venue was, all I wanted right now was to see Lexi and get an explanation for what happened in the maze and her switch in personality. It was all very weird to

me.

"I still can't believe the day is finally here where I drive you to the club. What changed your mind?" he asked in surprise as he got into the car. I glanced at my wrist watch.

"Start the car already. It's getting late," I retorted.

"Okay, it's time to get the best experience of your life," he said with a smile as he started the car and drove off. I tapped my feet impatiently wondering when we would get there and I finally got to see Lexi. She won't have any excuse to avoid me this time. Immediately we walked in, she was the first person I spotted. Dressed in a tight fitted little black dress and bright red lipstick. Her hair was in wavy curls which were the only thing that covered her bare back. This was so unlike her. Torres cheered loudly immediately we walked in. He was very excited to be here, unlike me.

"Bro, welcome to the most amazing place you will ever be. Even though you've missed out on a lot of things, you have nothing to worry about..," I walked past him, cutting him off abruptly. Despite the very loud music, bodies swinging with rhythm to the beats and the dim lights. I could still spot her. She gulped down a glass of alcohol. At the rate with which she was going, I was sure she was going to get drunk in no time.

"What are you doing here?" she asked with a frown etched on her face as soon as she saw me.

"I don't remember you being the only one allowed in this club," I retorted. She sighed as she pushed her glass towards the bartender.

"Fill it up," she ordered.

"Don't listen to her. Give her a glass of iced water instead," I said.

"What the f**k is your problem? Why can't you just leave me alone?" she asked irately.

"You are going to get drunk if you continue like this. Need I remind you how you behave when you are drunk?" I retorted.

"Fill it up. I'm paying for the drink not him," she insisted stubbornly pushing the glass in front of him.

"You are not filling it up," I responded, shifting the glass farther from the bartender.

"Are you buying the drink or not? There are other people behind you who would rather get their drink than watch you couples bicker," the bartender chipped in impatiently.

"You know what? You can keep the glass if you want. I'm going to dance," she said, turning around to leave. I grabbed her hand to stop her from stepping out from the line of the impatient teenagers. She turned around abruptly, her hair whipping my face. "What did I tell you about touching me?" she asked with a glare.

"You have to tell me why. Why do you detest being touched by me so much?" I asked unwillingly to back down. I came to get answers and I won't leave without them. I had a feeling something was wrong with her and she was trying to hide it by being rude and pushing me away. She roughly removed her hand from mine because my grip wasn't tight.

"Why? Is this the first time you are getting rejected? Not used to it? I'm sure you've done that to lots of girls before. Is it hard to swallow what you dish out?" she asked angrily. Why was she getting angry at me when I didn't even do anything wrong?. "I don't understand what is going on here? Why are you being so mean?" I asked, getting frustrated and angry.

"You know nothing about me and I would rather it remain that way," she replied.

"I don't want it to. You are my mate and I want to know everything about you. You know we have a connection. Why do you keep running away from it? From me?" I inquired. I saw something I couldn't quite decipher flicker in her eyes. Hesitation maybe?. "I know this place isn't your scene. You should go home if you came here because of me to avoid wasting your time. You stick out like a sore thumb," she said as she walked towards the dance floor.

"Let's party guys!" I heard Torres's voice loudly through the microphone. He threw several dollar bills from upstairs down to the floor. Everyone cheered as the music got louder. I glanced up at him and he waved at me with a wide smile. Mady was also upstairs. I shook my head at them.

I noticed people had formed a small gathering around the stage as they cheered. I walked towards them and my eyes widened in surprise. Lexi was swinging her body to the music as everyone cheered her on. The dim lights made her skin glow and her milky white thighs were on full display as her gown shifted up. I clenched my hand angrily. Just how much did she drink? She smirked and winked at me as she continued to dance.

Just when I was about to walk towards her, a guy beat me to it. He stood behind her, his body pressed tightly against hers. She jumped immediately and noticed his presence.
