Purchased A Mr. Right -
Chapter 1100
In Adam's mind, she was like a blazing sun.
Not only did she illuminate his dull life, but she also lit up his entire heart.
This year, in his military career in the south, as long as he closed his eyes, her slender figure would appear in his dreams, no matter when he was lying in the tent in the deep mountain where he did the actual fighting maneuvers, or in the stiff bed of the military base,
She hugged his waist tightly from behind and shouted in a soft voice, "I love you..."
Sometimes when he woke up, her voice still lingered in his ears.
Adam believed himself to be an outstanding soldier and a mature man.
He always dealt with things neatly, never sloppily. However, when he faced her...
He was clear that he could not be with her because he was her uncle-in-law, but he could not control his heart. Gradually, he no longer cared so much about the moral boundaries and their relationship in the family.
When did he fall in love with her?
It was the moment Adam realized that he was regretful, or even earlier.
Or it was when she looked at him with her shiny eyes, telling him that he was her lucky man.
Or it was when she pouted, saying that she was just worried about him.
Or it was when she asked him whether he was too tired in a childish way.
Or it was when she mischievously tried to replace out if he missed her...
Actually, in Ice city, they had only known each other for a quarter, merely more than a hundred days.
It was a short period, but she had quietly invaded his heart.
Adam invited Mira and her husband to come here.
One year ago, to reject her, Adam deliberately caused a misunderstanding, pretending that he was dating Mira. However, this time, he wanted to say that he had never been with any woman. Compared to just tell her the truth, he preferred to bring Mira here and explain everything to her, which was more direct and effective.
Anthea was dumbfounded.
Her eyes widened, and she looked at him with an astonished expression as if she were struck by lightning.
The rosy light from the setting sun in the west fell into the deep-set eyes, and his eyes sparkled like bright stars in the dark sky.
In a confused state of mind, she suspected that it was a sheer illusion. "What did you say?"
She seemed to have seen a fake Adam!
And she heard a fake confession of love!
Nevertheless, Adam knew that she had just heard all of it clearly.
The fire of jealousy last night made him kiss her impulsively, but Carter interrupted the kiss.
After he answered the call from the headquarter, he did not go back to look for her. He also wanted to give her some time to calm down. When he woke up in the morning, the headquarters urged him to drive back and have a meeting about the disaster area.
According to the weather and current situation, the flood would gradually fade and would no longer be a threat. In two days, all their rescue teams, including the medical teams, would withdraw from the disaste
area.
Then the government would send more people over to resettle the residents and reconstruct the disaster area. By the time she returned from the headquarters, it was already in the evening. Adam went straight to see her. While she was distributing the medicine to the residents just now, he had been observing her expression. To be honest, after he told her the deep-hidden confession, he became a little nervous waiting for her reply. He could not help laughing in his heart. Unexpectedly, the first time in his life he was nervous was before her! Meekly lowering his head, Adam said slowly in a low voice, "You can think about it before giving me an answer."
Anthea went back to the medical rescue center in a daze.
Their teacher Vincent was not there, and Leonardo was swinging his lead again - he squatted by a cabinet, fiddling with a few medicine bottles. After a long while, he had not yet finished identifying them. Anthea waved at him. "Golden Leonardo, come here!"
Seeing this, Leonardo immediately ran to her.
Then he was hit on the head.
Anthea thumped his yellow hair flat! "AAARRGHH!" Leonardo cried out in alarm and held his head. His eyes widened in disbelief- he was on the verge of crying out in pain.
"Does it hurt?" Anthea asked.
"What the f**k! How can it not hurt?" Leonardo went into furious and almost jumped up. He shouted, "Anthea, have I ever done anything that provoked you? You called me over and then slapped me without warning!"
However, Anthea did not hear him whine. As she saw him grimacing painfully, she muttered, "If it hurts, it means that it's not a dream. I'm not dreaming..."
After listening to her words, Leonardo was utterly speechless. "F*ck, if you want to know whether you are dreaming or not, why don't you hit yourself!"
But Anthea, immersed in her thoughts, could not hear him at all.
She went straight to the chair and sat down. Then she put her arms on the table, leaning her cheeks on her hands. A flush of red gradually rose on her cheeks. "I want to be with you."
The sonorous voice of a man rang in her ears, and
Anthea's heart began to beat wildly.
He...
"I want to be with you."
There was only this sentence ringing over and over again in her mind.
It was not a dream. He said it himself. She covered her face with her hands, feeling shy and excited.
This night, Anthea lost sleep again.
Unlike last night, she tossed and turned because of excitement- bitterness finally ended, and sweetness would come soon.
The sight outside the tent on this warm night seemed so beautiful today that she found it hard to calm down with so many ripples in the lake of her heart.
As soon as she woke up the next day, Anthea jumped out of her bed and ran to the military tent without washing her face.
Adam was used to getting up early. Like him, many soldiers had already gotten up, and he was the distinguished man among them.
Thus, Anthea spotted him at a glance.
He was in pretty good shape, his shoulders broad and his legs long. He was a born leader.
Biting her lips, she took a deep breath and rushed to
him.
"Hey!"
Anthea thought about it, feeling that it was not the right way to greet him. Blushing, she called out his name. "Hey, Adam!"
Adam turned around and said, "Hmm?"
When he heard her call his name casually, Adam raised the corner of his mouth.
He looked at the girl panting before him. Her hair was all loose and fell behind her head, and her hair bangs were above her eyebrow tails. She was still sleepy, her black and white eyes on her elfin face in the sunlight beautiful and dazzling.
She raised a wave of loving ripples in his heart.
Anthea stood firm in front of him, flattened her breath, and asked with a serious look on her small face, "What you said yesterday is not a joke, is it?"
When she returned to the medical center, she hit Leonardo to see if it was a dream. She thought she heard an imaginary voice.
But she still wanted to ask him to verify it personally. Only then could she feel at ease.
What if he were joking?
"No," Adam replied seriously.
"Okay." Anthea nodded.
A wave of heat suddenly rushed to her cheeks, and without her noticing it, her face turned red.
With her hands clasped behind her back, Anthea tried hard to hide the joy in her heart -she did not want him to see her being so happy upon hearing his confession.
But the smile at the corner of her mouth betrayed her. Her smiling face looked as beautiful as a lotus flower blooming.
It seemed that she was still worried. Anthea frowned slightly and looked at him doubtfully. "You... Won't go back on your words all of a sudden?"
"No, I won't." Adam's lips curled up.
Anthea was very satisfied with his answer.
She slightly lifted her chin, showed an arrogant expression, and said to him slowly, "I see. Well, I will think about it!"
After that, Anthea walked away swaggeringly.
