Purchased A Mr. Right -
Chapter 1171
"Anthea, are you sleeping in?" Master Hsu asked lovingly.
Anthea licked her lips nervously.
She quickly calmed down and stuttered, "Grandpa, I was dopey!"
She was so startled that she was in a cold sweat.
Fortunately, she hadn't called out Adam's name. Otherwise, she would have to replace endless excuses to lie to Master Hsu.
Master Hsu pretended to be angry on the line and said, "You ungrateful brat. National Day holiday was so long. But you didn't take one day to visit me. I am your grandpa!"
"Oh..." Anthea felt ashamed.
These days, she had been hanging out with Adam in the sweetness of passionate love.
Anthea felt guilty and quickly said ingratiatingly, "Grandpa, I am so sorry. I will go visit you soon!"
"You are so sweet!" Master Hsu laughed happily, "Anthea, the school will start tomorrow, right? Your uncle has gone abroad for a business trip. If you don't have anything to do in the evening, you can go with me to my old friend's birthday party!" "Okay!" Anthea nodded.
Master asked, "Are you at school? Should I ask the driver to pick you up?"
Anthea refused with guilt, "No need, Grandpa. I can go there by myself!"
Master didn't say much and hung up with a smile.
The sky was getting dark, covered with a magnificent sunset glow.
After the driver parked the black luxury car before a high-end club and opened the car door, Anthea helped Master Hsu get off.
Today, Master was wearing a Chinese-style Tang suit. Although he had grey hair on his temples, he still looked strong and healthy, walking steadily and fast. Along the way, he met acquaintances and greeted them.
Anthea picked up the hem of her dress and followed behind cutely.
Before attending the banquet, Master Hsu asked the driver to drive to the shopping mall to buy Anthea a dress for today's occasion. According to Anthea's age, the shop assistant introduced many cute dresses to her, but she didn't choose any of the dresses.
She wanted to look more mature and graceful.
At the end, Anthea chose a light blue dress.
The hemline of the dress was with a layer of lace. As Anthea walked in her sandals, it rippled, bringing out a sense of poetry. Most importantly, the dress was long enough to cover her ankle, which made her look graceful.
The banquet venue was in the backyard of the club.
It was an outdoor banquet.
However, unlike the last anniversary celebration in the resort, there was a natural green lawn with no swimming pool. An artificial river was next to it, flowing to the lower reaches. The river was very rapid, creating a more natural atmosphere.
There was a long table on the lawn, serving a buffet of all sorts of pastries and desserts. Waiters were holding trays and shuttling through the crowd.
A violoncellist and a pianist were sitting on one side, playing the cello and the piano, and the melody was pleasant.
Anthea accompanied Master Hsu to greet everyone. Then they sat at the long table and took a plate to eat some pastries.
Master Hsu suddenly asked, "Anthea, are you seeing someone now?" "Cough, cough."
Anthea was choked by the blueberry cake.
She blushed and said flusteredly, "Grandpa, I..."
Master Hsu interrupted her with a smile and said in a kind tone, "You can tell me. I am not against you having a boyfriend! I was worried before and wanted to take you to the party to introduce you to some good young men. I didn't expect that you already have a boyfriend!"
Anthea couldn't deny it.
She was half-awake when she answered the phone without paying attention to the caller ID carefully. She thought it was Adam's call. She didn't hide the coquetry and intimacy in her voice, so Master Hsu could naturally guess it.
Master Hsu asked curiously, "Is he your schoolmate?"
"Well..." Anthea muttered.
She didn't want to lie, but she didn't know how to answer.
Master Hsu took the initiative to say, "When do you have time to bring him to meet me?"
Anthea swallowed her saliva and mumbled, "Grandpa, now it's too rush. Later I will bring him when we are steady..."
Her long eyelashes were lowered, blinking. It was hard to tell what she felt. She looked more like a shy little girl.
Master Hsu couldn't help but burst out laughing.
Master Hsu was happy to know that Anthea had a boyfriend. He could finally let go of the secret worry he had a year ago. Now he was relieved, thinking that Anthea would not do anything wrong.
Master Hsu nodded happily and couldn't stop laughing, "Well, that's good! Spend more time with him. When your relationship is stable, bring him to meet me!"
Anthea felt that her back was sweating again. She was worried that Master Hsu would keep asking her, so she made an excuse, "Grandpa, I need to use the bathroom!"
Master nodded and asked a waiter to lead the way.
After Anthea walked into the long corridor and no longer felt Master Hsu's loving eyes behind her, she leaned against a marble pillar at the side. When she felt the coldness from the pillar, she finally felt relaxed She was too afraid that Master Hsu would replace out about her relationship with Adam.
Her phone suddenly vibrated.
Anthea took it out of her handbag and saw Adam was calling.
She looked around, made sure that no one noticed her, and then picked it up with relief.
Adam arrived at the troops this morning. In the morning, he had sent her a text message. Now, he had just finished his work and had taken some time to call her.
When Adam heard the noise of people walking around Anthea, he asked her where she was, and she told him that she accompanied Master Hsu to a birthday party.
Adam noticed the feebleness in Anthea's voice. He asked considerately, "What's wrong, Anthea?" "Grandpa talked to me about me having a boyfriend again. He said that he wanted to meet my boyfriend, but I made an excuse and refused him!" Anthea held her face and sighed softly. Her voice revealed her sadness and timidity, "I'm scared! If one day he replaces out that us, what should I do..." Adam didn't know how to reply.
After a long while, he said with a deep voice, which sounded sincere, "Anthea, no matter what will happen in the future, I won't give up on you."
"Adam..." Anthea sobbed.
If Adam were with her, she would definitely jump into his arms.
She would tightly hold Adam's waist with both hands and bury herself in his chest, and there would be nothing that could stop them from loving each other.
Hearing Adam's words, Anthea calmed down and felt at ease.
But now, she had no choice but to hide her feelings.
Feeling warm in her heart, Anthea thought that she should say something to respond to Adam. She blinked her eyes and said, "Ahem, I suddenly thought of a romantic cliche!" "Tell me about it," Adam chuckled.
Anthea licked her lips and then said copiously and fluently, "Till the end of the universe do we part!"
Adam said, "Well, it is quite a cliche.
