Purchased A Mr. Right
Chapter 1397

Bunny's eyes suddenly widened.

The next second, she screamed, "AHHHHH!"

The elevator walls vibrated violently - the elevator seemed to have reached the bottom. It made her heart tremble with fear.

Bunny was not afraid of the feeling of weightlessness. She had experienced it when riding the roller coaster, but she was afraid of the dark.

When she was little, she was not obedient enough. After her father scolded and beat her, her stepmother would shut her up in the attic. As the night fell, it was pitch-dark there, and there were mice running past her feet, which left her a huge emotional shadow.

So she would not close the curtains when she slept at night.

Bunny threw away the drawing board in her hand and rushed to Emerson. "Emerson!"

Emerson, who had already been waiting there the whole time, quickly held her close and pressed his hands against her back. Then he said, his voice soft and full of affection. "Bunny, don't be afraid!"

Bunny nearly burst into tears. With her two thin arms wrapped around his waist, she burrowed her face into his chest. "Oh, it's so dark here. I'm so scared!"

Emerson whispered in her ear to comfort her. "Don't be afraid. The elevator broke down. I'm here!"

Bunny cried out, "Boo-hoo..."

She could not see anything. It was dark all around.

Though very scared, she could feel the warmth coming through his clothes. It seemed that even his voice and his sounds of breathing could give her strength.

Somehow, she calmed down a little, feeling assured.

Bunny pressed her entire face against his chest. Only in this way could she not be afraid.

Emerson held her in his arms, just like what he did every night. Her small head was on his chest, and her forehead pressed against the softest place under his Adam's apple. They were so close to each other that they could feel the breath of each other.

Suddenly, he wanted to stay here with her like this forever.

Emerson looked down and felt that the little body in his arms no longer trembled. She lay in his arms as well-behaved as a pet.

He enjoyed this precious moment when his beloved girl was in his arms.

However, good times were always shortlived. Suddenly, all the lights lit up.

The elevator door slowly opened.

They were on the underground floor. Not many people were here - the elevator aside just went up and brought some people away.

The warmth in his arms suddenly disappeared.

As soon as Bunny saw the elevator door open, she almost jumped out of his arms.

She picked up the drawing board that was thrown on the ground, carried it on her back, and ran out of the elevator.

Emerson followed her with vigorous strides and grabbed her slender wrist. He narrowed his eyes and asked her, "Sloane, you said you didn't know me, didn't you? Then, how did you know my name was Emerson?"

Bunny snorted without thinking. "That day at the school anniversary, you went on stage!

Stupid!"

"Really?" Emerson raised his eyebrows and reminded her calmly, "But the headmaster just addressed me as Young Master Chiang. He had never mentioned my name! So, how did you know it?" "..." Bunny seemed to be dumbfounded.

However, she looked down, rolling her eyes, and sneered at him. "You're the driver who hit me! I certainly know your name!"

Her words struck Emerson dumb.

Yes, it was possible.

Emerson stared at her silently with his deep eyes.

As the elevator fell, she pounced on him. She did this subconsciously, didn't she?

At this time, Emerson had a headache, but he had an inkling that something was wrong.

Bunny did not give him the chance to think about it - she managed to wrench her wrist free from his grasp.

Emerson, fully aware that she was trying to make a clean break with her, was instantly filled with anger. "But you jumped into my arms!"

"But it was under special condition. Uncle Handsome, don't think too much about it!" Bunny looked at him with a bright smile. "We're in L City with western culture, so don't be so conservative. Hugging someone is just a courtesy!

Emerson was speechless.

Bunny changed her attitude drastically. A moment ago, she was smiling, looking at him with her watery eyes. The next second, she glared at him. "This time, don't follow me anymore; otherwise, you're hatching a sinister plot against me!"

After that, she ran to the safe passage with the drawing board on her back while singing a song.

Emerson lit a cigarette.

As the smoke of the cigarette spread around, his gloomy face softened a lot.

After putting out the cigarette and throwing the butt into a trash can, he walked to the elevator while taking out his cell phone with a frown. "Why did you just give me such a short period?!"

On the other end of the phone, Secretary Zalkin felt extremely wronged. "Young Master, but you told me that I could not make it for too long because Miss Bunny was afraid of the dark..."

Emerson sighed helplessly.

It was so hard for him!

It was a sunny weekend.

The weather was particularly good, and the campus was very lively. Students were everywhere, and the park next to the river was especially crowded. Many art students were sketching on their drawing boards there.

Bunny also sat cross-legged, painting a European-style building in the distance.

Ann ran over from afar. "Sloane, we should go to see the exhibition!"

Bunny looked up from the drawing board

and asked, "Is it time to begin?"

She was so focused on her painting that she forgot about the time.

Urged by Ann, she quickly tidied up board, put away her painting supplies, and hurried to the art museum.

The school hosted the exhibition with a wide range of display items. There were works of art and paintings. The college made this exhibition to the benefit of the students, intending to uplift their minds and spirits in their free time.

Ann pulled Bunny to a quiet path under trees and suddenly asked her, "Sloane, what's the relationship between you and Young Master Chiang? You know, the man who contributed a building to our college." "There's nothing between us!" Bunny said innocently.

Ann hesitated before she asked, "On the school anniversary..."

Bunny shrugged. "That day, he mistook me for someone else. I told him this on the spot!"

Ann nodded she was there that day.

After a brief moment of hesitation, she asked her shyly, "Sloane, if I tell you I like him, you won't be angry, will you?"

"Why should I be angry?" Bunny blinked her eyes.

"That's good!" Ann breathed a sigh of relief and said to her, "By the way, I heard that this handsome and rich young master has brought a painting here and put it on display! Let's go and see it later. I want to know more about his preferences!"

Bunny agreed with a casual air.

They entered the art museum, where was filled with melodious music.

Bunny liked the art exhibition. Perhaps it was because she had inherited a special gift in art from her birth mother, who was a painter. In her eyes, every painting possessed a spirit.

Thus, she appreciated them one by one from beginning to end.

Unlike her, Ann had been busying looking for the painting brought here by Emerson since she entered here. Now, she waved to Bunny excitedly. "Sloane, come here quickly. This is the painting from Young Master Chiang!"

Bunny walked over slowly.

She looked up carelessly. However, when she saw the painting in the wooden frames clearly, she was stunned.
